Emraan, Vidya in Mohit Suri's next

Mohit Suri's film their third after The Dirty Picture and Ghanchakkar.

This newspaper had earlier reported that Vishesh Films was in discussions with Emraan Hashmi to star in their next opposite Vidya Balan, to be directed by Mohit Suri (June 25).


We've now learnt that Emraan has signed the film as of yesterday. If all goes well, this yet-untitled movie will be Emraan and Vidya's third outing together, after The Dirty Picture and Ghanchakkar.

When contacted, Mukesh Bhatt confirmed the news and said, "I am sure people would love to see Vidya and Emraan sharing screen space once again. We will start the film very soon."

However, Mukesh's remake of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, which was announced amidst much fanfare as a co-production between Vishesh Films and T-Series, has been put on the backburner.

Buoyed by the success of Aashiqui 2, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films had declared they would remake Mahesh Bhatt's 1991 blockbuster starring Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt. However, a fall out between them over financial matters ultimately led to the co-production being put on hold.

Arey, why they both are being approached together in each n every movie? Luks like emran's trend of working with new actresses has ended, hence he got stuck on Vidya.

She did. Read a manual RT of her tweet. (Could be fake though).

Mukhesh is saying that project is on backburner. Sharddha has to wait at least 2 years for that project.

No Emmy is doing this re-make. ARK is signed for something else. News of this film came out awhile ago. And then ARK bagging a film came out. So different projects.

Either way, thank god it's not Alia or Shraddha. But Vidya is a no-no. They need someone more innocent looking. I thought Kangana already signed the dotted line?

Can we please get Shirya Saran and Emmy together? I loved them i Awarapan. That chemistry was so innocently beautiful and pure that everyone actually thought he was cheating on his wife with Shirya. 😆

No, this isnt DHKMN remake. That has been scrapped apparently. This is Mohit Suri's next after Villain... the romantic film for which the heroine was already finalized before the hero. Mahesh Bhatt is writing this script after his long hiatus. Anyway, we haven't seen Vidya-Emraan in an intense romantic story so I dont mind this coup. 😆
