All the three brothers Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail have ruled the roost of the industry sometime in their career. But out of them Sohail has evolved as an all-square handling the reins of production, direction and acting at the same time and emerging successful as well. He is one of the most accomplished filmmaker and is also turning up as a good actor as well. Gracing the screen soon will be Sohail with his two films 'Fight Club' and 'Aryan'. 'Fight Club' is directed by Vikram Chopra and is co-produced by him and 'Aryan' is directed by first timer Abhishek Kapoor. We chat with Sohail about films and his forthcomings.

How do you manage handling direction, production and acting at the same time?

As a filmmaker you may need to ride more than one boat. And as I'm involved with all the main aspect of a film, you just have to do them without creating any fuss. But I rate direction tougher for me other than production or acting. To be a director you've to be involved creatively with a project. There is so much responsibility on you. I've a production house and so production seems very happy for me.

Your forthcoming release is 'Fight Club'. What is the film all about?

It belongs to the genre of action comedy kind. The action is not gory with blood scenes and all, it is more like a fight. There is a good mix of comedy, romance and music in the film and it is a complete family entertainer. It is unlike those action films that are targeted to a specific audience.

Tell about your character in the film.

I play a tough nut and am a bouncer of a local club. Very aggressive in nature I join Fight Club with a motto. I'm paired romantically opposite Komal (Neha Dhupia) who is a doctor in the film.

Bollywood is going experimental. Do you think that action films will do well in the current scenario?

All kind of films has audience. Action film is not out. Everything depends on the presentation. If there is a realistic approach in the making of the film and people can associate themselves with it, it'll certainly find audience. Only action in a film is not enough, there has to be a mix of romance and emotion as well. Action has to be justified and reasonable where it is used.

Another film 'Aryan' is also an action film?

It is also not out an out an action film. It has a good balance action and emotion. I play a boxer in the film. He aspires to become a boxer since a very early age but the responsibility for his family exempts him from pursuing his dreams. He is so passionate about boxing that he gets frustrated in life. Australian boxing trainers have been flown to train Inder Kumar and me for the film.

Other than acting you can also do good comedy and 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya' proves that. Will you do more comedy in your career?

This film clicked because the combination was good, for all people associated with it and the situations were hilarious. This is the secret of a good comedy film. If more such films are offered to me I'll certainly do them.

What are the other films that you've signed?

I've been signed for Raakh, Team and Salaam-e-Ishq. I also plan to start another directorial venture this year. I also want to remake 'Amar Akbar Anthony' with we three brothers. The script is not yet ready for that. Such a project has to be dealt with caution. I just don't want to ruin it.
