What a kameena this aadmi is. I had thought the case died down and that he bought the maid and her family. Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case here. 7 years is nothing in front of the crime he has committed with an innocent teen. As if the 7 years will buy her back the soul this prick killed. Mere bas mein hota, I'd beat him up with a bat and ball, before sending him off to jail. I still hate how Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are free men...you kill, you rape, you terrorize....but you get off because you donate a part of your income?...What standards man.

Im glad that Shiney Ahuja has been sentenced to 7year imprisonment. This man should rot in jail🤢How disgusting he is and plus the maid is a minor🤢Cheapo, and plus the thing that shocks me even more is that this heinous crime is committed by a man who himself has a daughter. Ewwwwwwww i hate this man.

When will Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt be punished? Iam not seeing anything like that happen in the near future. Instead of them getting punished, ppl are praising him for their so called "heart of gold". I am sure ppl would have praised Shiney too had he been a bigger star like SK and SD🤢

Actually, I thought the crux of his/her post was that we can never say anything with full conviction when it comes to things that are only fed to us by news channels, be it MJ or OJ Simpson. They're not our first hand accounts, afterall. We only get to know what the media wants us to know. To reiterate ladygaga's last statement - "Every accused is not a criminal.. and every criminal is not necessarily.. always accused." To add one more of my own, not all who are exonerated of their charges are always innocent and not all who are innocent are always exonerated of their charges. Alibi can be real or it can be fabricated but still well devised enough to let a criminal off the hook.

My point was not about conviction but the actual procedure itself.

MJ had a huge trial. The investigators there put in every effort to procure a guilty verdict. Contrast this with the going ons here - Its a mammoth effort just to get the police to register a FIR.

Cases drag for years and years, till the victims are probably dead or don't give a damn anymore

Lawyers themselves are party to bribing witnesses and other lawyers. And even when they are caught on tape doing it (like in the sanjeev nanda case) they are just suspended for a month instead of permanently cancelling their license

Its not about the final verdict but how callously the entire case drags out, how the investigation is shoddy and public lawyers can be bought.

............ In fact i am really surprised that
a) the police registered the maid's complaint to begin with
b) the judge didn't throw out the case when the victim turned hostile
c) How little time it took from filing the complaint to the verdict

....... now i just wish that all the policemen and judges were as good as those as on this case.

i understand that but all am sayin is MJ is,was and always innocent.i dont want his name to be mentioned along with criminals.he was clearly not one.ther is a lot of evidence out on the net proving his innocence.he was exonerated n he was NOT guilty.nothing was fabricated in his trial. off topic i guess.

am glad shiney got punished although it wouldn't be the case if he were a bigger star.

Arshad's against 7 yrs jail term for Shiney

Smrity Sharma, TNN | Mar 31, 2011, 12.34pm IST
Arshad Warsi More Pics
Actor Shiney Ahuja has been sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of raping his 18-year old domestic help.

The actor broke down in the court after the judgment was passed and has now decided to challenge his conviction in the High Court. While we see some more tareekh pe tareekh coming his way till the final judgment arrives, back in the film industry some celebs are seeing the 7 year jail as a bit too harsh for the actor.

One of the filmwallahs to stand up for Shiney is Arshad Warsi. Lashing out at the judgment Arshad blogged, "Murderers, terrorist and corrupt politicians are walking free and Shiney Ahuja gets 7 years imprisonment. Judiciary should stop targeting actors so blatantly."

As the star started receiving flak from some about having a soft corner for 'rapist' Shiney, he clarified he stand, "I am NOT saying Shiney's right but don't forget that Kasab is still enjoying our hospitality."

He further lamented on the fact about influential people getting away even after committing the gravest of crimes, "Do u know the number of rapes that happen in our country on a daily basis by influential and connected people? Those cases are not even registered."

We would like to know what our readers think about the judgment.
