Honestly, I am totally sad that it turned out to be true. I loved his acting and his movies and I hardly ever like any actor or any film. I loved him and Kangana in both their movies. It is sad that he had t do it and end up like this. Damn, I wish he hadn't.

Yes, so did I. I thought he was innocent until proven guilty so well, what a waste of talent to a weak moment.

But good for the maid that she got justice. I dun wanna imagine what one must feel in such a moment.

wow he screwed up big time, one dumb decision of his lead to his downfall. I used to really like Shiney as an actor and his career was doing good too but he messed it all up for himself. :(

Shriram Mills scion acquitted in 2006 rape case

Posted: Wed Mar 30 2011, 14:56 hrs Mumbai:

Citing lack of evidence and prosecution's failure in proving the case, a sessions court here today acquitted Abhishek Kasliwal, son of the owner of Shriram Mills, in a 2006 rape case.

"You are acquitted," said Additional Sessions Judge S R Malpani-Pawar told a relieved 32-year-old Kasliwal.

His father, industrialist Ambuj Kasliwal, was also present in court.

Abhishek was accused of raping a 52-year-old woman in south Mumbai's Colaba area on March 11, 2006, after offering her a lift in his car.

He was arrested the next day after the victim went to the police and alleged that instead of taking her to Mumbai Central, where she wanted to be dropped, he took her to the Shriram Mills premises in Worli and raped her.

The High Court granted him bail a month later.

The trial got delayed for some time because the victim had gone missing, before police traced her and produced her in the court.

Even though 7 years is not enough for Shiney's case, rape altogether is one of those crimes that is very difficult to prove if one doesn't have the DNA evidence. Now India's court can be bought off, which makes it even harder for rape victims to show that what happened to them was real.

Because of these reasons, victims of sexual assault that does or does not include rape tend to stay quiet just to avoid the excess harassment.

And what a disgusting pig😡

What a waste! He had everything going for him and he had to do something so sick, so low. He deserves what he got, I am glad he didn't get away with rape. Justice was served!
