Kiran Rao confirms Salman-Katrina split

Kiran Rao's directorial venture 'Dhobi Ghaat' is quite the talk of the town, and just today the media was shown some new trailers of the film. However, when in conversation with Kiran Rao, we got some more dope other than the obvious.

Kiran Rao, who wanted Salman Khan to make a special appearance in 'Dhobi Ghaat', insisted that the movie is her tribute to him. "Prateik Babbar plays as aspiring actor. He is a great fan of Salman Khan's, and has posters of Salman and Katrina in his room. At that time the two actors were courting and seeing each other," shrugged Kiran. Does that statement of hers confirm that the handsome couple are no longer courting each other? Well, she would know best given that Salman and hubby Aamir are good friends.

Talks have it that even Ash's posters don the walls of Prateik's room in the movie. Do we expect a spoof in this one? Not quite, we guess. Kiran was just trying to be realistic, is our bet.

they're most likely one of those couples who keep breaking up and making up... who knows... but i do think that they are still friendly with each other, whether they are seeing each other or not....!

every couple has issues.... if it's a publicity stunt, that's rather low on kiran's part.... why would she use salman's relationship for the publicity of her movie...? i don't think she's the type who would try to sensationalize situations like this.... if it was aamir, then i would have agreed that it is more likely a publicity stunt...! i think it probably is true... they are good friends, but their relationship status isn't as constant.... i don't think she meant to say it to create news, but more like it slipped as part of a normal conversation....!!

Katrina is losing her cool. This year-end she gave up her annual family vacation in London for work. But the presumption that she might have taken off to Dubai to join Salman and his family for the New Year has driven her crazy.

Exasperated and enraged Katrina wants to know who is making all these claims. "I'm here in Mumbai rehearsing for my performance at an awards function next week.

Why would I go to Dubai? If I could be away from my commitments in India I'd be with my family in London, as I always am at this time."

What about the rumours that she was expected in Dubai for Salman's birthday celebrations? Katrina flares up, "Why would I not visit his home?

And why would I try to hide the visit? Have I ever said I am no longer friends with Salman and his family? They'll be a part of my life even when Salman is seeing someone else.

And even if and when, I'll be seeing someone his family would be dear to me."

Katrina is extremely touchy about any references to her past relationship with Sallu. That said, she did appear on Bigg Boss, on which he left her teary-eyed
