I think from the vp lady pov, it was like there is no funding for underprivileged kids. Abhi ritesh is facilitating that by donating 50 lacs and in return he is asking a small favour of getting mehendi applied for his daughter. From her pov, he is doing so much and asking something small in return toh how can she refuse.
I agree with you on the grounds you are presenting, but I did not mean just about the funding bit or scene. My statement was more in general in how schools are shown in such shows. From the beginning itself, Ritesh has been less than kind to the school officials and has been shown to be allowed to do so because he is a tv star. Indu was given alcohol by the other parents in the school premises and they were not even punished adequately for it. Zoon has been seen frequently in the house for all the festivals and court proceedings, but never in school uniform to indicate that she is not missing her education while solving the problems between these bigdaail adults. In Mumbai, every reputed school has children who have famous personalities as parents, but none of them have the audacity to speak even a rude word or show attitude to the teachers. They (parents and children) have to give respect to them. I'm just trying to say that while school should not be idealised or promoted as an obsession to make your child suffer, it should not be diminished either by showcasing it like this in media.
