Rahul Roy who was at the launch to cheer the new members of the house. Roy was in a jovial mood as he enjoyed a hot cup of tea on a rainy evening in Lonavala.

What are your first impressions of Bigg Boss 2?

Obviously feeling very nostalgic. And the fact that I won season one makes it even more special. Though I was more familiar with the earlier venue Karjat this one seems to be on a much bigger scale. I think since the first one was so successful people are a lot more aware of the format this time around and will actually relate to it in a much better way.

And Shilpa Shetty stepping into Arshad's shoes?

I am very close to Arshad because he was in my season. But I think since Shilpa has been there and experienced the show first hand she will understand what one actually goes through in that house.

What do you think makes someone accept a show like Bigg Boss?

First and foremost the chance to be famous. Let's be honest, who wouldn't want be on camera 24x7? Secondly, unlike other reality shows this one doesn't test your creative talents. It's a show where you are judged for the person you actually are. Because once you are in that house you are stripped off all your glamour and people get a glimpse of the real you.

What worked in your favour?

Frankly on day one I called my wife and said I would be kicked out immediately. Most people told me I came across as the most sane person on the show. This show is not for those who want to do drama. People will only connect if they feel you aren't putting on a farce. Luckily for me the four people whose opinion matters to me in the world told me I hadn't changed once the camera was on.

And what was it that kept you going for those three months?

I have the ability to like everyone around without getting too emotionally attached to them. I have been into spirituality for many years so I knew how to keep myself calm and be unaffected by what happens around me. But having said this, I was clear that whatever be the result I will exit the house with dignity.

What do you make of all the negativity and malice that creeps in between participants?

You see the Bigg Boss house is not a natural environment that one is sued to. We Indians like to be around friends and family so when you are locked in a place with strangers you have no one to rely on while making decisions. In such a case you either let your ego control you or conduct yourself with dignity. So each person reacts in a different way.

Any advice to the Season 2 participants?

Go there and play the game without playing games. Those who need to understand will get my message..

Finally have you been offered to be a part of Big Brother?

Honestly I haven't received any formal offer. Talks have been on here and there but I would rather be a part of something that involves Big Brother winners from various countries. That would take the challenge to the next level. If you ask me I would love to do something like Survivor. As it will really give me a chance to test my limits.
