This. I truly loathed when everyone was silent seeing how Salman was trashing Akash, Shilpa was the only one nodding, smiling, giving thumbs up & agreeing to all of it. I said it on some other thread that this was syc(h)ophancy at its best.

Salman has been known to go out of his way to favour contestants who cannot defend themselves, have the dukhayari narrative on, are feeble/not too headstrong. Still, he hasn't been this biased. Even Tanisha was bashed in her season more than once. He has this ajeeb pyaar for Shilpa which I cannot seem to see through. Honestly, I can't see to see through any pyaar anyone has for Shilpa. My friend loves her- I don't seem to understand his irrational love.

Even then, if he wanted to bash Akash, there were better reasons for it. He specifically chose the rank one and weaved everything that happened in the week into it, including when he did badatamezi with Shilpa- where she also gave him stiff competition, which Salman obviously, conveniently sidelined.

Sallu (and BB - because most of what he says is definitely scripted) do this bias crap every season - but this year it's been something else - racism, homophobia and defamation have been ignored, whitewashed and endorsed. And I share your disgust. I like him as host of this show, but no denying that this season his hosting left a lot to be desired.

I do find it funny how people think Salman didn't bash Hina on so & so incident, he didn't bash Vikas. That Vikas wasn't bashed for pushing Akash and everyone was rejoicing.
When it is actually about bashing a contestant in a derogatory manner on a very irrelevant, insignificant issue. Not bashing at all is different, but bashing on something so trivial is different.
If he had so much time on his hands, he could've picked a better topic.
What made it worse was how glaringly obvious it was that he did it for Shilpa- the whole charade of rearranging the ranks. As if that is going to matter now, the actual process which mattered took place in the way it was supposed it. It felt like he was coercing them into believing the ranks he thinks they deserve.

The moot point is that Shilpa is the common link when it comes to selective bashing, selective ignoring, selective forced bashing on trivial issues.

Bold: yes, I've been thinking about that. She's articulate when it comes to pointing out other people's faults, but is suddenly not so articulate when she has to justify her place in the show.
Then she can't string two sentences into a coherent reason.

I do agree with you, whenever I've watched WKW this season, I've rarely enjoyed it. But this one royally pissed me off. I haven't watched many so I have been spared from repeat viewing of such selective drama.

A shame literally that the highest money given for hosting is to just read a biased script

EVEn as a dieheart Salman fan it's difficult for me to defend his pathetic blatant favouritism that he has shown this season. His sense of morality seemed twisted not just in one particular weekend but almost in every weekend. Few of them were passing bullying as entertainment and ignoring Arshi's character assassination and picking up on something so trivial (compared to character assassination) as saand' comment in the same weekend.


He has been difficult to defend even by his fans. Not sure if it's the script, channel or whatever, but when the words come directly from a star like him, it carries much more weight than any channel/editor working behind the screen.

sorry for seeing this late. most of time it was forced bashing. wonder if he was reading a script or really hated hina so made up his own jokes. I dont think it will affect his status as people move on no one will remember. his hosting did suck this season, even his tanisha love was bearable as he bashed her sometimes. I will always have a question in mind that why he loved shilpa so much. I will never get my answer. he loved her family as his own too. and on finale he mocked hina's family little bit her mom was so confused. 😕
