Why does everyone call Lopa 'Miss India'? - Page 2

In a beauty pageant, the top 3 (sometimes 4) contestants win a crown and sash and are called winners. Lopa never claimed to have won a Miss India contest. Its the others who always called her Miss India. But she did represent India at the next level, Miss United Continents; where she was 2nd Runner up. And that's the contest she talks about winning. As I just explained, the top 3 get the crowns and sashes and are called winners...hence she was a winner there! Just like Ashwarya Rai and Diya Mirza are not lying when they call themselves Miss India, though Sushmita Sen came 1st that year. So that's NOT a "lie" and this allegation is baseless!

Aish and Dia were Miss India WOrld and Miss India Something respectively. Top 5 are never miss India lol. If that would be the case then all the 20 participants are Miss India. Afterall they were Top 20 in the competition. Only top 3 are and that's because they are given crown and equal opportunity. Whereas being 3rd in Miss United continents is never a winner as they are neither given a sash nor a crown. So there is no need to brag unnecessarily as Lopa does.

And if all top five were "winners" then why do you think there was so much animosity between Aish and Sush? First position is the one that matters that's why.

Point is she and her team are liars. That's it.
They also say she won Miss Goa but on YouTube there's a video where it shows that she was SECOND.
For other pageants they actually wrote 2nd RU, Finalist etc. so no, the "all 5 are winners so maybe that's why they wrote winner" doesn't mean anything here.. They lied.
