Exactly! Whether someone 'deserved' to win or not is debatable. I'd say Prince/Gautam dint deserve to win cause i disliked them.. but their fans will say, THEY DID. & we can never come up to a conclusion as to who's right?
But technically, whoever has the biggest support by audience 'deserved' their win. So from that POV, Prince & Gautam were deserving winners as they were the most popular contestants in their season.. whether i liked them or not.
Same with whoever wins this season -Bani, Manveer or anyone!
