If a boy would have done that would he do the same?? No but since she was a girl hence he decided to call everyone and character assassinate her infront of everyone which shows how cheap he is. That would not have been cool indeed. But Avinash is painting a complete different picture here by the words he choose and is proud of.

I am sure she will recover from it though.. I would have rather seen that it left her untouched though.

Also, how much water actually reached Avinash considering the distance and the jail fence being in between? I think the food mostly had to suffer.
