My parents help us out. We have short growing seasons late May to late August. Frost kills everything. It's very rewarding.. flowers we only do marigolds, mums.. I have indian jasmine and it survived frost this year...

Europe has short season..
Pudina easiest and survives hot, cold snow and every thing in between.
Dhaniya hit or miss but you can grow on kitchen counter

my aunt who lives nearby. I get fresh lemongrass alone is worth it for my chai. Trust me .. I get it. But for me. Not enough to do on my own.
