For one moment, I actually fell for Shalin’s dramatic act about being mentally unwell and shaken up, depressed, and questioned his strange behaviour. What a fantastic actor. A lot of us fell for it. Because as soon as Tina left, he has done a complete 180 and is now jumping up and down, happy, desperately trying to fit with the mandali.
It’s so unsettling and upsetting to see an actor with so many fans and influence, to constantly use such a loaded term like “depression” to gain sympathy and take down his opponent. That’s exactly what he did. In today’s episode, he was giddy and laughing. Depression doesn’t just switch off like a light switch. It’s individuals like him who dilute the very essence of the term “depression” and devoid it of having any real meaning. This is why society as a whole doesn’t take it as seriously as it should.
I wonder what Farah is thinking, slamming the ladies on the weekend and now seeing him completely changed.
