Since Shilpa shetty season all measures get taken to avoid discrimination. If Abdu is going on the BBUK celebrity version ,then it's not that long either ,only like 3-4 weeks .

There was a guy with a rare condition of dwarfism on the celeb version a good few seasons back ,so I'm sure Abdu will be in good hands.

If you have, then you'd know, contestants are given no outside feedback whatsoever .Celebrity guests dont go prancing into the house whenever it takes their fancy .The host doesn't hold spoon feeding sessions.Eviictions are not cancelled whenever it suits the channel .

I think Abdu should be getting the same treatment just like everyone else.

Love this comparison of yours. I used to watch Big Brother and for the first time watched Bigg Boss this season to find myself completely baffled by the format with the things you mentioned as they just don’t happen here. Getting new wardrobe each weekend too I couldn’t get my head round and outfits made for the finale, wow.

Anyways coming to Abdu, he most definitely will be treated equally and fairly should there be any issues. One thing I do feel though is that he may not get so pampered because everyone will just see him as another HM. With this we may get to see a different side to him so it will be interesting to see how he manages it.

The original Big Brother concept is supposed to be about complete isolation from the outside world .And that's what contestants get on BBUK.

No celeb guest visits, no family visits ,no letters no messages from friends and family, no feedback from host or BB on how to play the game, and no designer garms being sent every weekend. They have to make do with whatever clothes they have brought in with them. Nothing extra gets sent in the whole duration they're there.

Even on the finale night ,they don't get pampered by designers, hair stylists, and makeup artists. They have to do their own hair, make up, and wear whatever they have brought in with them from the start .

Everything is limited, like the most basic of rations.

They have to do tasks to win the luxury budget. And if they don't win ,BB doesn't give any extra ration-food items or any extra treats .They have to make do with whatever they have.

Also, the host only comes on a Friday to announce who's being evicted. The host doesn't speak to contestants via /TV screen .They just hear the host over the speakers in the house when eviction gets announced .And ,they can only hear the outside crowd boos and cheers, and this becomes their only indicator to somewhat kind of know who's being liked or not.

So yeah,Abdu won't be getting any extra special treatment. He will be treated equally just like the rest .

And yes, it will be interesting to see how he is without the extra pampering and special treatment.

Totally yes that’s the format. I watched BBUK when it first started (I’m in UK) and had never watched BB India so found it completely out of sync with original concept and as such had to take breaks in watching it as it was way too much drama for me lol but still was intrigued.

I hope Abdu is aware of the format here and therefore does not expect same level of admiration especially from the host as there will be none! He will have to earn his place in the house.

I had stopped watching BB UK long time ago and in the same way I started watched BB India because of STK (not a fan of hers but like FK which brought me to it), Abdu will get me watching UK version again lol.

P.S. from what I remember HMs do get letters towards the end but they are only upon completing task successfully.

Love to see Abdu in the BB U.K one but if Sumbul comes sometimes it would be worth watching her dad going up and down how to contact his daughter .

STK? FK?

I kind of stopped following BBUK after the show shifted from channel 4 to 5, and Davina stopped hosting it.

So, I can't quite recall if letters were given upon task completion or not.

Also,BBUK was off air for some years as well.

I will also prob be watching again just for Abdu, lol.

Not sure though if he's aware of the actual concept ,and that he's not going to be treated as some special guest,so might come as a total shock or surprise for him.But whatever the case ,I think given time, he'll adjust.

Anything on Indian TV I expect to be extra OTT and full on drama and Bollywoodised lol ,so it wasn't a shock to me when I first started watching Bigg Boss.

The earlier seasons were more subtle compared to the recent years. They didn't get as much host and BB feedback and food -ration and things were also quite limited .And I don't think designer garms and stuff were sent in for them like every week .And evictions also didn't get cancelled every week to favour certain contestants .

On BBUK Papa Touqeer won't even be allowed anywhere near the BB premises .😆He can go into ICU and request phone calls to his Sumbuliya bitiya all he wants ,but Papa Touqeer ka nahi chalne waley waha.😆

Thank goodness parental intervention is not allowed here so that is unlikely to happen😂

Yes BB UK went through channel changes, presenter changes and being off air. I don’t know when I stopped watching though. I often do that with these reality shows as it just becomes rinse and repeat and I get bored.

Abdu has time to do his research as I don’t think dates have been announced yet. It will be a very different experience for him I think and yeah he is a smart cookie so will adjust.

I was aware of all these programs as my mum would watch however I didn’t have the Indian channels so never watched. Then when I did my mum would only recommend things she knew I would like but after my trips to India 2018 I was lured to the bright lights of BWood/Indian TV lol so got into things more however stayed away from the reality shows until now.

The evictions are just a farce. I was expecting to see live evictions each week BB UK style followed by live interviews and the analysis on Big Brother’s Little Brother. Did the have something similar to BBLB for BB India?

STK - Sumbul

FK - Fahmaan

Nope, they’ve never had anything like BBLB! I’m like you guys, I don’t watch the BB non celeb version now and didn’t even know if it was still on. I did watch a few celebrity BB’s, the last one was the one with Jedward & Colleen Nolan won - I think that was due to her sons/family really pushing for votes so even in the UK version, it’s about who is madly voting in the end. The celeb one is only for around 3 weeks so I was hoping Abdu was going on that but I read that they’ve discontinued the Celeb BB. That’s a shame cos Abdu going on the non-celeb BB isn’t interesting me much.. I read it’ll be on ITV2 as well. If it’s talked about by the media like they do with Love Island, then it’ll get publicity otherwise I’m not sure ITV2 shows have much of an audience.

If it was Ant & Dec’s ‘I’m a Celebrity, Get me out of here’ I would’ve been really keen for Abdu to do it cos I always watch and so do loads of UK peeps - it’s a reality show that has good credibility - but since that show involves rats/spiders/snakes/ tunnel/water challenges etc, I don’t think Abdu would be up for it. 😆
