Chapter 19
Days passed relatively faster it seemed as Girija looked at the calendar- only 3 days were left for the engagement ceremony and with each passing hour it seemed that all the children grew more and more frustrated and sad. Shakti had taken into coming pretty late from work and every time she saw him all she could see was anger and helplessness, Pratap looked over-worked and angry at the situation though he was able to mask his anger well, Maan stayed calm yet her eyes spoke so much more while Chand and Vikram were being way to silent. She let out a breath as Panna entered her room and gave her the look - the same one she had been giving her ever since Girija had decided to get Maan married. Panna was not in favour of this rishta and she had been pretty vocal about it but then Girija had fallen ill and said that it was her akhiri iccha to see her great grandson and great grand-daughter get married with all the pomp and nobody had been able to fight it.
GD: Panna? (On receiving no response she turned around to find her gone as the days of the engagement neared Panna had started to act all aloof and give her the silent treatment) shaking her head she walked out to find Shakti leaving way too early for office while Maan stood silently as the elders looked at the two
Sanga: Shakti are you leaving for the office or farmhouse
Shakti: Bade Daajiraj farmhouse - woh security and lightings ka kaam dekhna hai wahan par but usse pehle I'll stop at the office kuch kaam tha mereko
Sanga: Surtan and Rawat tumhe farmhouse par milenge. Bairam bhi wahan aayega tayyari dekhne
Maan had rushed down the stairs to meet Sahkti once and even called out to him but he didn't stop and pretended that he hadn't heard her
Everyone busied themselves in the preparations while Ajabde was missing throughout them. She had seen Shakti's behaviour for the past few days and knew what she had to do so she followed him only to find him sitting all by himself on top of a ruined palace on the outskirts of town. He was drinking and throwing empty bottles into the lake beside the palace
Ajabde: Toh janaab yahan baith kar akele akele ee rahe hain
Shakti: You followed me?
Ajabde: Ek bottle idhar karo- akele na peeyo
Shakti handed her a bottle while he started talking: This guy jisko Maan ke liye pasand kiya hai he's not good. I have a gut feeling ki he's hiding something but I can't find it. I know it's just the engagement and baad mein if we get the proof then but agar tab nahi mila toh kya- Maan ki shaadi ho jaane doon uske saath
Ajabde: aur yahan baith kar daaru peene se tumhaari saari problems solve ho jaayengi Shakti
Looks at her and then takes a sip- she takes a deep breath takes hold of the bottle and throws it into the lake
Sahkti: uske aur bhi bhai hain
Ajabde: Shakti bacchpana chodho aur gar tumhaara gut keh raha hai ki ladka galat hai toh iss time par tumhe yahan nahi apni behen ke saath hona chahiye taaki jab sacchai saamne aaye toh bhale hi baaki ke bhai ho usko sambhalne ke liye par uska ek bhai hona chahiye uss ladke ko sabak seekhaane ke liye taaki who kisi aur ki behen ke saath aisa game na khele
Shakti: Aap...
Ajabde: Shakti Singh Sisodia - Rajput ho tum aur Rajput apni akhiri saans tak ladte hain- tumne toh pehle hi haar maan li
Shakti (stands up): Maine haar nahi maani hai.. aap dekhiyega Baisa main Maan ki yeh engagement hone nahi doonga bhale hi mujhe usko kidnap hi kyun na karna pade
Ajabde: Yeh hui na baat. Ab tum jao farmhouse and wahan par security and baaki saare arrangements dekho. Agar kidnap karna hai toh jagah ka poora idea hon chahiye na
Shakti: Woh farmhouse Khan Baba ka hai jahan hum sab summer vacations mein kam se kam 15 din rehte the. Uss jagah ke kone kone se aprichit hoon main
Ajabde smiled internally as she saw Shakti gain back the confidence which she had seen diminishing from his demeanour and she also now knew that he was well aware of the farmhouse- well that just made things both easy and complicated
Chapter 20
Peer Mohammed was sulking as he saw Baadshah ignore him completely - the shipment was about to reach the port in 3days on the day of Sangram Sisodia granddaughter's engagement so while everyone would be attending the engagement they would use their port to retrieve the shipment and then they will celebrate their success. Peer knew that his being overtly affectionate towards him drove Baadshah crazy par woh kya kare ab zaalim se ishq karne ki sazaa hai yehi ki usko na kadar hai meri
Totally unaware that Subho was watching the live feed from her office when her eyes fell on the visitor who had just entered the club. This cannot be happening she thought as she zoomed to see the person's face clearly and then sent out a text to Ajabde
Baaga maa mor bole
Ghar ke andar baitha chor bole
Tayyari kar lo re
Aatish baazi na reh jaaye phiki re
Everyone at the mansion were going over the details and seeing over the arrangements - the offices were being handled by the assistants as the men had taken leave. It was like chaos - voices rang out all over, people rushed from one place to another with ladies ordering the servants to do things in a proper manner. Sangram along with Karna had gone to hand out a few remaining invites for the engagement while Dheer along with PD and GD was whisked off to meet the in-laws with gifts and other stuff.
Chand sat in a corner eating an apple while everyone including Pratap was being asked to carry heavy baskets from the living rooms to the cars. Chand smiled as she saw Ajabde enter but she was busy reading the message that Subho had sent her so she walked straight into Pratap who at the moment was carrying a basket of flowers - as they collided the basket literally fell off his hands as they reached out to hold Ajabde by her waist - eyes met as flower petals rained upon them. Both were lost in each other their heartbeats were racing at the same speed, eyes looking at the other like they were watching their souls and they were unaware of the audience that was looking at the scene. GD looked like she would faint, while all the siblings were hiding giggles and PD looked happy.
Pratap!!! Jaiwanta's voice broke them out of their trance as they both stood straight- they didn't know how long they had been in simple terms lost into each other
Ajabde (trying to gain a bit of semblance back): Arey yaar mujhe toh laga tha ki tum mere personal butler ho par yahan toh tum public kaamwaale ban gaye re. Chalo accha hai future ki prep abhi se karlo
JB: Pratap tum yahan kya kar rahe ho??? Flowers car mein rakhwao - nikalna hai farmhouse ke liye hum sab ko, arey Ajabde beta aap bhi ek bag mein sagaai tak ke liye kapde and samaan rakhlo. Sab log farmhouse mein rahenge sagaai over hone tak
Ajabde: Ji Aunty
She rushes upstairs to pack her stuff thanking her stars ki she wouldn't have to make excuses to check out the farmhouse. She quickly packed her stuff and her essentials phir neeche aate time she saw Pratap waiting for her - looking repeatedly at his watch.
Pratap: Ajabde!!! Chalo
Ajabde: Pakdo - she threw her bag at him and then jumped over the railing sliding herself down. Chalein driver (winks and walks ahead)

Ajabde meddling with the radio stations - Koi bhi accha gaan kyun nahi aa raha
Pratap: Stop messing my music system
Ajabde shows her tongue when the song come on

Ajabde opened her window feeling the cool breeze as she hummed along the song while Pratap looked at her smiling and then back at the road. Nearly an hour and a half later they reached the farmhouse where everyone and a few more guests were waiting for them

Ajab has a lot to do!!! M surprised being a gangster family any of the Sisodia should be able to find out atleast one wrong doing of the grooms family but none of them is able to get a single clue...
