@godblessall...so nice to read your posts ,as usual...even though the forum seems to be on its last leg!! So sad... I knew it was coming, but now that it's actually happened I feel so sad.😭

I have only watched a few of the other Indian soaps, and only on Zee, but there always seems to be a common theme ,as you so aptly mentioned!! A few lovely happy and hopeful moments, only to be followed by long periods of discord, distress and despair!! Every time the story seems to move 2 steps forward, it then moves 5 steps backwards!! So disheartening,so frustrating!! But I suppose that seems to be the TRP recipe that works, and the viewers seem to be gluttons for punishment...over and over!!

Unless the viewers demand changes, and show their displeasure by refusing to watch these ridiculous story lines, then I don't foresee any improvements, any time soon. We fall for the shows and the characters, hook line and sinker, then when the inevitable occurs,at that point we are so addicted we find it impossible to stop watching! We know that only too well, since that was our own experience for the last couple months of BBAT !! No matter how bad things got, we persevered to the bitter end!! And that's what the producers of the shows bank on...customer loyalty to the brand!!

I have been browsing around on Zee, thankfully I have not come across any other show that I can watch regularly much less with the passion I developed for BBAT!! So... It's just as well...at least I will save myself some heartache for the time being!! Hope you have better luck !! Keep posting...we may not have very long again!! 😔!!

Hi all, came in the morning and saw all the closing posts. Not sure as everything is just guess works of now. @godblessall, you are right as far as most of the serials are concerned. That is why it is hard to get attached to anything else. I am in one way thankful about that but I think the majority of audiences that these shows crater to are older people that stay at home. Knowing about the life in Metros, in India most working women do not get any time to watch TV between kids and work. How do you tell a forum is closed? I am not sure. I will know when the posting fails to record I guess? Did anyone receive any response from Wafah? Poor thing I hope she is not bombarded with messages.
Oh well let us make most of it when we can. So does anyone have unsaid thoughts, plots, wishes, theories? Someone was saying BBAT was an experimental project and hence never was marketed right. But as @godblessall says all TV shows do the same with the stories. Obviously you cannot have happy times all the way. But it is the progress of the story when lacking is what bothers me the most. I think most of the stories start with the concept and depending on the swing of the public they mould their stories and when the interest begins to fade they introduce a shock element and this cycle goes on until they lose out on the channel or sponsors and come up with a hotchpotch ending in a hurry. That is the way of business for everything on TV I guess. But BBAT got more than its fair share time to end and just to go ahead and ruin that is not excusable. Maybe they save every bad idea on the "bench" and when the show comes to an end and there is no impact to the money they can draw on it more, they pick one bad idea just to see the audience reactions, so as to learn from it for their next endeavor. It is cruel for the people attached to the show like us but it makes perfect business sense! There I just believe I found the logic for the atrocious track/ending for BBAT.😆

Thank you Leesan...I love the way you people appreciate and acknowledge the small things here...this made the forum so close to my heart...
Thanks Vanfan for continuing discussion...I liked your opinion about how it is imposssible for a woman to forget about your origin after you get married ...I totally agree with you...but what I meant to say is that an orphan girl like Runjhun who was living a life of a slave ( except the Grand mother's love, but that definitely does not change the fact )...never had a proper home built of love and caring, gets her own family ... a husband showering unconditional love... a nest to call her own..., will she not be more eager and dedicated to save that resort...!!! Specially when she knows the people (m & ms ) who she is seeking help for have never learnt a single lesson of humanity..!!. This just seems unrealistic to me...for me, both Runjhun and Guddu's characters were butchered mercilessly in the serial that were difficult to digest...!!!
Look...still I'm complaining...!..Can't get over...!!!
And..is this forum going to close..?? How do you know? Is there any notice...? Oh..no, It's shocking ...why will it close so soon...the memory is still fresh...dont we still love to talk about it...? then why..!!!😭

Hi girls ... nice posts! Agree with you all regarding the ups and downs of these soaps. I have been looking at a few of them ... still trying to find something at least a little bit interesting but so far nothing to hold my interest for any length of time. So it's back to square one for me where soaps are concerned ... before BBAt I could only look at them for a couple of weeks before losing interest. Needless to say, with BBAT, I couldn't wait for the next episode ... never could get enough of BBAT!!! Still can't!!!

After looking at some of the other serials on Zee, I wondered how their fans continue to view them without complaining! I can't imagine BBAT fans staying silent if it were BBAT going the way some of them are going! Also, it seems that in their quest for ratings, Zee is just discarding and bringing on new shows!!

I still prefer to look at my old episodes of BBAT than to look at the other serials!! One thing that I never mentioned about BBAT that I really enjoyed was those scenes with the "street person" who narrated the Bhagonwali story! I specially loved to see and hear him; sometimes he would be singing with the tambourine around the fires in the street! I always found that so enthralling ... the firelight and his beautiful voice ... Never saw that in any other soap! Talk about BBAT being unique!!!

I miss my BBAT!!! I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm sure you all understand my feelings!!!

Hi guys, lovely thoughts again by all.

Agree Vanfan Di, I don't expect every episode of a serial to be honky-dory, but I am puzzled as to why they went downhill and continue doing so with BBAT despite our pleas and cries!! I don't think I can ever recover from that!😡😡😡 Its a mystery that will never be solved!!! I wish the CVs will come out now and let us know why they did what they did! Someone mentioned experimental, I still can't believe they would experiment with a show with such talented actors!!

Did anyone notice that JAY METHA was coming out with a new show on Zee?? I believe he was part of the BBAT team!! Would he not take H or N again? Guess not???

Leesan, I believe we are all in the same boat concerning our BBAT! Will never get over and cannot move on!!

Godblessall, butchered is not even the word for what they did to R & G's characters!

So true Indi, will rather watch BBAT episodes than what they offer on TV!

Pensink, let's hope they are not closing this forum and I don't think so!

Anyways, hang in there everyone, let's stay positive! At least we have each other but I know it will not be the same without this forum!!!😭

Much love and wishing you all a great week ahead!!!

@van, indi, godblessall, pensink, vedi and jay et al...Phew!!! have to include everyone from now on, just not sure for how long we will be able to post!! So I will dispense with all the formalities, and just say how happy I am to see all of you still on the forum ,though archived!!

I did contact Wafah, but I guess she must be so busy with all the queries. Oh well, hope we can hear something positive and soon. Well, I watched Rasha's latest VM this morning, and wondered if I will ever be completely over BBAT. I was fine till just after the 13th minute...when G started to cry... I just lost it!!😭😭!!! Oh dear, I am such a baby for my BBAT!!!

I think we need to set a plan in motion for when the inevitable occurs. Even if it's a few more weeks or even months, it would be nice if we can still manage to keep in contact and on the forum!! I am not a FB person, for many reasons,so that is not a good option for me. There is just something about the forum that has a special connection for me to BBAT.However I have been browsing the forum, and noticed that there are several chat clubs in existence, many being open only upon invitation.
Do you all think this is a good option for us? What do you think? Is it worth the extra effort?

I know you and many others feel the same way but my take is R was not a slave because she did all of the work by her own choice just because she wanted to please everyone. Amma would not have let anyone throw her out if she refused or did not do the work. The very proof being R was able to finish college, I am sure only because Amma was a strong person in the household. By nature R wanted to make everyone happy and she genuinely loved her M&Ms even though the feeling was not reciprocated. This was more pronounced as she was an orphan and was craving for any kind of belonging to the family. That was her kind of unconditional love. I find it hard to call G's love unconditional at the time he threw her out because he did put condition for R to choose between him and them. Any self respecting person will not accept that lying down and R was very proud in her own way. She did try to accommodate his feelings by not forcing G to bring them in even though she softly requested twice but she could not hold back on opportunity to feed them when they were starving. She did fear his temper rightly so and hence hid the fact just as to avoid upsetting G. But like I said I did not like her argument the M&Ms never made her beg. They did even worse by sending her to the carom club in the night. Glad in spite of the talks of closing we are still able to post and we will take the opportunity to do so while we can!

Leesan, sounds like a good option. I am not on FB either nor do I intend to be. Maybe we will venture on that if the forum actually close. . Right now it is more like possibility and no sure fact.
