Aha, So now I know why Indi has been missing in action !!! Zee TV!!! Aaawww Indi, I cannot get over my love for Guddu Shukla and his Dharampatni so I refuse to move on. See I am one of those people that love for life but honestly, cannot find anything to hold my interest, especially not on Zee! Every now and then I watch Sony comedy but since they have no English subtitles and I do not understand the language I miss the jest of it. From the actions, I laugh at my own interpretations!!!

/QUOTE]

@jps ... Hey girl, don't get your hopes up! I'm still here and still in love with Gunjhun! I'm not giving up "G' so easily!!! MIA because of a heavy workload, but I still sneak away to visit ... As for Zee's serials, while I sometimes look at them, none could hold my interest !! Don't talk about the actors ... the number of times I would call Guddu Shukla's name ("G" wouldn't do that! "G" is better looking, "G" is the best, etc.) you would swear I was watching Bhagonwali - always comparing them with "G" ... I have nicknames for those leads .. . and none complimentary!! I think I resent them because they are not "Guddu Shukla"!!!

So, as you see, I'm still here!

Hello Dearies.!!!!

Just popping in to say a quick hello. It's been a difficult week so far so no time for internet. Hope all is well with everyone. I haven't even had a chance to catch up with reading all the posts yet. Such a delight to see so many posts. Looking forward to reading them all. Seems as if we are still suffering from BBAT fever. πŸ˜† I for one have not moved on. The show has made an indelible mark on my heart and so far nothing is coming close to replacing it even though I do watch a few shows. Still no news on Himmanshoo huh? Anyway, much love and hugsβ€οΈπŸ€— ❀️to everyone, hoping next week will be easier and I can participate more. Truly missing you guys.!!!

@azuria...you are so right!! So very, very true and so glad to have you back on the forum! Please try and pop in more often, we really miss your unique perspective. Thanks for your great post re the effects/ implications of R's bhaag, will discuss in more depth later...I promise!!

And a special hello to all my special "G" Company girls!! We were in almost full force on the forum today!! From Indi, Jay, Vaishali, Nikki, Vedi, to Van ( yesterday), even Az!! πŸ‘ ⭐️!! Good job!! ( Godblessall, where are you? We miss you!)

@van... I cracked up when I read your husband's response to your driving!! πŸ˜† So funny !! Actually, my father taught my mother to drive, and she always walked with taxi /bus fare, just in case!!πŸ˜‰

@nikki... So you just love to hear all the romantic proposal and rejection stories of our "G" girls, huh?
Seems like you have also rejected a few yourself! We sure have some choosy girls on this forum!! H(i)mmm...I wonder why?? Who can we be wishing and hoping for?! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

@vedi...what a fascinating family story! To think that you and your brother were so mature and disciplined to survive on your own and do so well !! Your parents must be so proud !! Good for you!!
I have to concur, unlike Van, I have found nothing I can watch on Zee, nothing!! And I used to watch a few shows before BBAT. Now, every thing just pales in comparison!

Guddu catches him and then it comes out that Guddu also is a prince and Jabbo tried to shoot him but harms him very lightly as his target was again Runjhun or Kukkan? I think it was kukkan.

@azuria ... Thank you for such a beautiful post. I always remember you saying that the BBAT story was a real occurrence. You have again awoken my curiosity about the life of the real persons ... how I would love to know the entire story ... where they are now, whether they have children, etc. I hope that they are living a "happily ever after" life!!!

It is a truly touching romance ... I just love that Guddu Shukla turned out to be a Prince!!! I remember in one scene when he was asked if he was God and he replied "yes", he was God. I think that was an indication that he had descended from a royal bloodline. Just the mention of "royal blood" and I can picture Guddu Shukla standing handsome and princely - the scenes that come to mind are the first suhaag raat and when he removed the sera after the wedding (in the wedding scene he looked so handsome and arrogant - I know he said bitter things to R at that time, but I couldn't help but notice how handsome he looked!) - and the clothing he wore gave the final touch to the Prince!!! I think I'm falling all over in love with him againπŸ˜‰!!! It's as if the characters stepped straight out of a fairy tale ...

I must say that Himm and Nive more than did justice to their roles ... they brought such life to the characters with their unique chemistry! I have seen/read so many great romance stories but none has affected me like BBAT ... I don't think I'll ever recover from BBAT !!! I don't think I even want too!!!

Ok Girls... I know I've wandered away from the topic, but I have to think about the "bhaag" whereas when it comes to "G" ...πŸ˜† well I don't have to tell you ... it just naturally flows!!! Will comment on the topic later!

Have a nice day!!!

Hi All ! πŸ˜› Happy Friday to everyone. Hope all are doing well.
@indi sorry to hear about your grandmother. But I am sure she is watching and still very proud of you. So who is responsible for finding a "Guddu Shukla" for you? You know you can count on us for references though not sure how much you can trust @Leesan or @Jps01 if it is indeed the "Guddu Shukla". πŸ˜‰Please use your references wisely.

Az it was a pleasant surprise to hear from you after a long time.πŸ˜ƒ
@jps01,@pensink,@vedi,@godblessall,@nikki nice to read all your posts.πŸ‘

Interesting topic Leesan and here is my take on it.
As the very theme of BBAT was R's "Bhag" it was expected to be in picture most of the time. But I am sure all of us would have like to see her "Bhag" work more positively for her and Guddu than we saw. But coming to my most favorite example of her bhag working positively:

Guddu's Mom getting cured by being touched by R. This is my most favorite one. This was a corner stone in G&R's relationship and I loved the way G was forced to acknowledge R's goodness (even though he was unaware of her Bhag) in spite of all his mistrust. He was all determined to dislike her but was surprised to see her affection towards his parents.

There are more examples of her bhag working positively like how he got the mobile offer, how the electricity got cut off when the Mahadevi put in the tampered room freshener , her phone call saving G from being killed by the attackers on picnic etc but none of it as significant as the one I mentioned. I did not mind the fable-ish story line and like I said there was not anything I would have liked different to happen until of course October 2011.πŸ˜•

But "Bhag" was not reason for this show to get so close to your heart. In spite of the element of 'magic" the story itself was so beautiful and genuine that made it uniquely real. Of course it was our "bhag" that we got the best actors as leads. It was not the "magic" element itself but just the whole package of BBAT that created the "Magic" in our lives.πŸ˜ƒ

Hope all you have a great weekend. Love you all. Glad to see everyone still on the forum.😊

Hey Girls ... this is my take on the topic of the Bhag:

The idea that someone is a bhagonwali would automatically give the impression that that person would be the first recipient of the bhag. In R's case we saw it working for others in the beginning, but no sign of it working for her. The treatment meted out to her by the M&Ms was really horrible and one would think that a bhagonwali would be faring much better. I personally think that although there was no tangible evidence, R's fortune was already in the works and awaiting the right time to materialise. As in everything else, there's a time for everything - and R's happiness and good fortune came in the form of "G"!! Poor G&R, their future was already planned and no amount of resisting by either one could have stopped it. I think that R's bhag did work positively for her! It brought her G - the source of her happiness and well being!

I also think that even though G did not believe in R's bhag, it did work positively in his favour - the first and most important instance being when it brought R into G's life - I believe R's bhag worked for G even before they were married; we also see instances of it working when:

- R stepped into the carom club for the first time - G won the game! (they were not yet married)

- R touching G's mother and healing her

- G getting the mobile contract

- R stepping into the Carom Club and stopping the electrical fire caused by Mahadevi

- G healing so quickly after his accident

- The umbrella that R gave to him saved him from the accident (when they lived in SN)

While I think that G was a hard worker and would have been successful on his own, R's bhag definitely speeded up the process.

Despite all the horrors that G&R faced, I think they both benefitted from R's bhag. As for the show, when viewed as a whole, I would say that the concept of the "Bhag" was realized.

Have a nice weekend Girls!!

quote from Nikki ...
Lukin at one of Guddu's pictures, I think Guddu looked much better with a stubble 😍 than he did clean shaven!

@nikki ... Agree with you!!! I always thought that G looked best with the stubble ... when he first appeared in the show ... in the gunda get-up, unshaven and on his bike! What a handsome picture he madeπŸ˜ƒ!!! Actually, I don't like guys with beard ... think it was the first time I actually liked itπŸ˜‰!
