Hello everyone...sorry for being absent ...love all your writing...very nice of you all to share a little piece of your real life experiences with rest of us...thanks Vanfan for suggesting this topic...Awww, Jps...I so wish you would read that letter once...it would have been the most beautiful love letter that a girl could have...but I'm sure we all are driven by our destiny...and that's life...πŸ‘πŸΌ
Being brought up in a suburb in India, I can very much relate to Guddu and gangs ' teasing to Runjhun in the early days...the same is true for relatives' interference in Gunjhun's newly married life ...but these are very common in the life of most Indian girls...today I want to mention a funny incident that I remembered specially after reading the news of ' Jadevi's re-appearence on screen here...😊
I liked the way they started Mahadevi-Jabbo track...these types of new lovers just make any story up without much thinking to hide their affair from the strict family...πŸ˜‰...in high-school I had a class-mate who fell in 'love ' with a boy of her dream..!! Moreover she was always ready to share her all sweet little experiences in this field with all of us girls..!!! She left none of her love-letter written by her lover-boy unread to us...I must confess , in those days we were almost grateful to her for being so generous...!! And those letters were able to make us even feel shy and embarass...now that was teen-age..πŸ˜›
The co-incident was my friend's lover-boy had the same name initials as mine...😳...in each of his letter he signed his name with that initials...we never noticed it until the day my friend was caught red-handed reading them by one of her super-strict parents...!! Her parents went thr' all of them and asked who was the culprit...and voila..! My dear friend took my name repeatedly..!! Her parents were actually convinced and called my mother to inform this...!! In those days a girl writing those stuff to another girl was kind of unthinkable in India...when my mom asked me I could not tell her the truth instantly as it would put my friend in a very bad situation. So I just kept mum...and both set of parents sat together with me and my friend and told us how things change when we grow up...they actually tried to say, that now you girls are so involved with each other that you think this is your entire world...when you will be bigger you will meet new people, have different lives, will meet someone you may like , get married , have family and so on...we two girls just kept looking at each other without uttering a single word...my friend thanked me thousand times for saving her and I also felt good to help her...but I could not save her love for long..!! the lover-boy soon found another girl more accessible in his new college and left my friend heart-brokenπŸ˜•
Now my friend is happily married with kids...when we recall that incident she does not get sad , but we actually make fun of that weird situation...and also think of our simple-minded parents who always tried to protect us from any kind of unusual situation woth utmost care..πŸ‘πŸΌ
Love and regards to you all ...take care and keep posting...

@ Godblessall, lovely post!! Can you imagine what's going through the parents' mind at that time, and I cannot believe neither one of you budged! What horror that must have been, but I can definitely relate to it!

Well, looks like our dear friend Indi is extremely busy as I have not seen her around for a few days now! Indi, missing you!

Girls, I am suffering really bad from allergies, so horrible weekend for me! Hope you all had an enjoyable week and looking forward to a great week ahead!

Much love.

@godblessall, really lovely post and same thoughts as Jps01, god know what a nightmare it was for your parents but good that you supported your freind. You proved you are true friend.
This weekend I met with a freind and she too is a big Himanshoo fan, I was surprised as never in last 1 1/2 years she ever mentioned.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and wish you all a great week!!
Love you all and a big hug!!

Hello My Forum Friends.

So very sorry for being MIA. So much happening in the last week, no time to check in. Went away for the weekend also. First opportunity to check in. Hope all is well with everyone.

I love the childhood stories. Thank you Van and Godblessall for sharing your precious memories. I live vicariously through anyone who's grown up in India. I didn't grow up there., India will always be the motherland that holds so much fascination for me. I loved BBAt for the glimpses it gave of rural/small town life. Not really interested in seeing the lives of the rich and famous and their mansions like so many other soaps.

So another show ended last week and now I'm realizing that our ending as awful as it was could have been worse. RMJ truly had a hideous ending. Glad I wasn't a fan of that show, would have been devastated. So is anyone going to watch the new show Phir subah hogi? I'm sorry to say that the promos have put me off completely. I don't think I could watch anything that regressive. I was not a fan of agle janam either. I find those topics too disturbing.

Missing you guys alot. Thanks for keeping the forum alive (especially Leesan and Jps01) Such troopers you are. Much love and hugs for all of you.❀️

P.S Jabbu will now be joining Mahadevi in Mr's Kaushik's show. He's playing her married lover. How cool is that?πŸ˜›

Hi Girls ' So nice to see you all keeping the forum going. Missed coming here for the last few days, but I was so very busy at work that I was completely exhausted by the time the weekend came. I decided today that enough is enough ' I need a break! So here I am!

@jps ' I truly sympathise with you! Deja vu!! Guys on motorbikes - accidents with broken legs ... I think somebody up there is teasing you! πŸ˜† Oh, that poor guy - had to be smitten to come calling on crutches. Wonder what he had to say in that letter!!! I think it's time you check your kundali though! Seems that guys on motorbikes are not meant for you, so stay on your elephant, girl!!! But seriously, I can understand your fear and "strict upbringing"!! Think that type of "upbringing" still affects me '' (LOL!!!) I'm plenty talk but still a little shy of guys!

@van didi - please note - two down!!! Regarding a certain Miss First-in-Line, seems that the stars don't favour her - she's just "missing" "G", and as for jps, apparently her kundali says no guys on motorbikes.!

@leesan ... Good to see that you could still spare a little time from your busy schedule! We do miss you! And yes, my grandmother was a truly wonderful and loving person - very strong lady!!

@Pensink91 ... Sorry to hear about your allergies. Hope you are feeling much better! Pensink, maybe your friend was embarrassed to let people know that she was a fan ... πŸ˜‰she should see/hear us crazy girls!!!

@godblessall '... You are a true friend!! And very brave too! I think I would have caved in and blurted out the truth, not that I cannot be trusted, it's just that I don't think I'm that brave! Your parents seem to be understanding people.

@vedi ... Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I also looked at RMJ and couldn't believe that that was the ending - I actually thought that we BBAT fans were quite lucky. Anyway I'm going to look at Mrs. K just to see "Jabbo" and "Mahadevi" ' I find that show to be very juvenile though!

@nikki'... I'm here! Just very busy the last few days!! And you know us "G" Company girls ... it's really difficult for us to stay away from our favourite topic!πŸ˜ƒ!! Enjoy your holiday!!

Well, Girls, Love to you all! Later!

Awww Indi...so good to "see" you.!!! I did have a lovely weekend, we are having glorious weather at the moment. You are much braver than I am in watching that show. I can't bring myself to watch any show with a domineering MIL., they give me the heebie jeebies. My blood pressure spikes and I start ranting and raving and the tvholic/maa kicks me out of the room.πŸ˜• I really don't understand their appeal to the indian audience. Seems like there is an awful MIL in all the top shows. One more reason why I miss my beloved BBAT so much. I do watch PR for Arjun and Purvi, this show has the nastiest MIL of all but I change the channel when she comes on or if I really can't take it, I watch online clips and not the whole episode. Good luck with Mrs K and let us know if you are enjoying our duo. (I do believe Mrs K has calmed down a bit from the beginning)

Ok time to admit that I'm actually engrossed in watching a soap new to me. IPKKND on starplus. It's very mills & Boon, harlequinish, couldn't be anymore cliched or contrived but I am enjoying it. Actually the show is in a bad phase now and the current episodes are not that good but I have been catching up on the previous episodes on youtube and enjoying them very much. Star crossed lovers, opposites attracting, lots of conflicts etc...attractive lead pair too. Adore the female lead, have never seen such a zany female character in any indian show. She simply cracks me up. I have been searching very hard to fill the void that BBAT left, this does not quite do it but it helps. I seriously doubt if any show will be able to replace BBAT for me.

Indi dear, I have had my allergies attackingme for quite a long time now but now its Jps01 who is suffering from allergies.
"I'm plenty talk but still a little shy of guys! " same situation here too but my parents are my best friends and my upbringing was not strict. We could talk openly and I had the independence to choose my life partner but I told my parents Iwould rather marry someone they chose as if it does not work it would not be my fault.
Now let me tell you a story of my life. It all happened during a summer project /internship I worked at a company in India and in my group I was the only girl so imagine my situation, initially I was very shy but once I knew people I could talk. Everyone used to ask me about my dream boy and the qualities in him, so this guy what ever i said he set out to achieve all that and to some extent he did aquire most of the qualiites thinking I would say yes if he proposed. I knew this was coming from the way he was set out to be someone that I would prefer, I had already informed my parents that this is coming and i am not interested. And then one day you would not believe the proposal came thru my boss, I directly refused, he was so heartbroken as he had thought she is quiet and shy and would easily accept πŸ˜ƒ.
I have written a lot for today as I did not feel like working but now I better get back to work.
Enjoy!!

@pensink...thanks for sharing Vaishali, what a fascinating story!! Hmmm...I wonder if Jay's shredded letter also contained a proposal from the bike guy?! You just never know!!πŸ˜‰

All this seems very different to me, as you can guess I came from a fairly liberal background. Actually my parents grew up in the sixties, a very heady time in the western world. Vietnam, Woodstock, civil rights, flower power etc. etc. As a result their views were very much shaped by the experiences of that time, and so was my upbringing. We traveled around quite a bit, and I would say I had an unorthodox childhood, but it was filled with adventure and excitement and my parents were ever present! As radical as they may have been, they instilled good values in each of us, teaching us to try and make a difference in whatever we chose to do.

So, any guy in my life has to be very willing to put up with a lot!!πŸ˜‰
A lot of travel, and a lot of opinions!! Not ready to settle down yet, but you never know ,life is strange sometimes!!

@vedi,and indi...so nice to hear from you both today, please keep posting!! Vedi, glad to hear you found something else with watching, I have given up. Just cannot find anything on Zee at the moment. Oh well!! There're always reruns!! Right?!
