Hola Ladies.!!!!

Hope all is well. Glad you are feeling better Vanfan. I'm knee deep in ironing dhoti's and kurtas today.(TMI I know) but I have to explain my sudden absence.πŸ˜‰ Navatri begins tomorrow, so a very happy early Navatri to all of you. Still missing the show like crazy. Finalized my first trip of the year and for once am not agonizing over missing my favorite show. That makes me feel so sad.😭 You won't believe the stuff I did on vacation not to miss the forum and the show.!! So very sorry to say that nothing is filling that void left by BBAT. Don't know if anything else ever will.

I so badly want to comment on the other zee shows too but feeling a little leary to do so.

Anyway on a totally different topic, I have to ask this question. In our part of the world or culture, we have never seen a father applying haldi on a dulhan. Rajju did it for mahadevi and our household was very puzzled. Has anyone of you encountered that? Would love to know. I'm also curious about mittho rubbing that stone(lorha) on the grooms face. Never seen that before.

Off again, domestic duties call. Catch you guys tomorrow. Much love to all of you and thanks for keeping this forum alive.πŸ€—

Hi there ladies!! Van, so happy to know that you are well on the road to recovery and back on the forum in full force!! And so happy to know that it's not" infectious" after all.πŸ˜‰... cannot afford to get sick, have a bit of travel to do soon!!

Girls, so sorry, but I cannot contribute to any discussions re religious rituals of BBAT, though I have witnessed many a ritual in my lifetime! Though I have said before that I do not enjoy the shows that concentrate heavily on religious rituals, I must say that it was never overdone on BBAT. And whenever they were shown,I actually enjoyed them as they seemed integral to the story line. I especially enjoyed that famous eclipse ritual to remove the dosha on R's kundali (hope I got it right!). Though I felt it was a little too coincidental that the eclipse was to occur on the next day!! But it was exciting and nerve racking , and it did serve to move the love story of our Gunjuhn an important step forward!! G was so accommodating,in spite of being so skeptical. I just loved how they both interacted and cooperated to get it completed!!

@godblessall...umm "hot guys"?? Now that's a topic I do feel qualified to discuss at length!!πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†!!! Where do I start?! LOL!! I have to admit, I do not follow any Zee shows on a regular basis, but I am yet to observe any "hot guys" that can even hold a candle to our Guddu Shukla !! They do not even come close !! I honestly do not understand what all the fuss is about?!

@vanfan...Van, I have to admire you!! And you know that I do! And while I agree it takes a lot more than a face/body to attract me to any show, having Himm as the male lead in BBAT sure made it a whole lot easier on the eye, as well as on the mind!!πŸ˜‰ But have to agree it was the actual story that clinched it for me, though having Himm around didn't hurt!!

Leesan, I have to agree Himm did make liking BBAT much easier. πŸ˜›Anyway the ritual stuff has not evoked much posts especially as you are missing. So how about change of topic? Some choices
1. Humorous episodes/situations
2. Funny dialogues of M&Ms
3. R's new avatar justification
4. Filling the gaps in BBAT with our own version
5. Bloopers
6. Relationships between all characters (respect vs hate)
7. Most romantic moments
8. Most touching moments
9. More fight about who is more correct G or RπŸ˜•(we seem to have most to say about this)
10. Anything else anyone can come up with.
Leesan, you pick as we need you to have a lot of input to drive the discussions.πŸ˜†

Hi girls ... Happy Friday to you all!

Van didi ... Glad to know you are better ... I guess you know now that nyquil is for night!

Godblessall ... you fickle girl! Already gaping at "hot" guys ... didn't take you any time to get over, did it?

Anyway girls, don't worry, the guy is no competition for our G ...seems to me Zee is trying to sell the show by showcasing the guy's body ... meat market? He doesn't utter a word though ... well maybe once or twice. Somehow, he doesn't impress me ... I guess I've passed the stage of falling for just looks or body ... it takes a lot more ... As godblessall said, he's really like a cardboard cut-out... no emotions, nothing! Now our G πŸ˜† ... you always know if he's mad, angry, hurt, happy, in love - his face showed every emotion; he encompassed everything ... looks, emotions, charisma, bad gunda, good friend, loving husband, lover, and best of all, he actually spoke!!! I guess Himmanshoo is really a cut above Zee's other actors!!!

Noticed a lot of the guys on Zee's other serials are also showcasing the bodies ... fitted clothing, short sleeves ... this must be Zee's new marketing strategy ... good eye candy ... but I'm quickly bored with the contents though! Don't take my word though ... you could judge for yourselves!! Should I blame Bhagonwali and Guddu Shukla for my disinterest? Guess I'll have to settle for my re-runs of BBAT!!

Have a nice day Girls!

@ indi...
LOL...this is not my opinion of 'hot' ness about that particular actor...this is the common opinion about him that I found in the related forum...my standard of 'hot' ness is set way to high by my 'hero' that is Mr. Guddu 'Dabang' Shukla...and this is not about only '6 pack' that haunts me...this is the sheer appearence , aura, mannerism, approach and everything about 'him' that is chasing me day n nite round the clock...well, I need to drink water...😊

Indi, very well said "Zee is trying to sell the show by showcasing the guy's body ... meat market? He doesn't utter a word though ". And it is true no one can compare the looks and the acting standard set by Himmanshoo, he portrayed every emotion so well and he is so handsome too. I guess Zee wants to attract viewers with the muscles, tight fitting clothes and the kurtas and sherwani they wear with bare chests and no dialogues. But no matter what I too still love Guddu Shukla and wish he comes in another show soon.
Happy Ugadhi, Gudi Parwa and Navratri!!
Happy Friday to you all and also a Great weekend too !!
love you all and a big to all my dearest Forum friends πŸ€—

@vanfan...LOL!!! My lovely logical Van...true to form!!!!πŸ˜‰!!! Thank you for the list of superb topics for us to debate and discuss!!! So...why not start with No.1 ,humorous episodes/situations? Seems like a good place to start!!

Ok...me first!!! There were so many, but one obvious one that comes to mind is "the beatdown"!!!
You remember! The one where the ever evil M&Ms sneaked into Shukla Niwas and were eventually accosted by Leela Chachi and her bucket brigade!!!πŸ˜† Remember when Billo hid under the bed?? OMG that was too funny and so well deserved!!! And when they returned to PN with all their aches and pains? I almost wish I was a part of Leela Auntie's "mop mob"!!

Ok girls...the funny floor is now officially open!! Let's hear it!! Will pop back in later...take care!!!

@godblessall ... Ok, Ok , I forgive you!!!πŸ˜ƒ Once "Himm" is still at the top of your list ... and you are quite right ... they seem to go crazy over him ... looks like dead fish to me though!! Sherwani, tight fitted clothing, bare chested, six pack... they could never compare with "HIm" ... our Guddu Shukla will always be the King!! And we haven't yet mentioned his acting prowessπŸ˜†!!!

@pensink91 ... aww ... I know you would always be faithful to our Guddu!! I don't think that any other actor would have done justice to the character of Guddu Shukla like Himmanshoo Malhotra did! His acting ability went a long way in contributing to making Bhagonwali such a beautiful story. The guy had it all in one package!!! I miss my Bhagonwali and Guddu Shukla too ... let's hope he returns soon.

@ leesan ... I have been "prowling" around and as for the other serials, I am quoting you here ... my views exactly... πŸ˜† "but I am yet to observe any "hot guys" that can even hold a candle to our Guddu Shukla !! They do not even come close !! I honestly do not understand what all the fuss is about?! " And while I agree it takes a lot more than a face/body to attract me to any show, having Himm as the male lead in BBAT sure made it a whole lot easier on the eye, as well as on the mind!! But have to agree it was the actual story that clinched it for me, though having Himm around didn't hurt!!"

I've looked at some of the other Zee serials a few times ... but nothing to grab my attention or as exciting as Bhagonwali! Sometimes I'm really surprised at myself ... I used to look at other soaps and enjoy them before ... now, it seems that none of them could satisfy me!! Bhagonwali was really unique! Guess, if I really want to, I'll have to settle for mediocre

Happy Ugadhi, Gudi Parwa and Navratri to you all!!!

OK, don't have to reiterate my stand - Team Guddu only and always!!!πŸ˜ƒ I have tried, but nothing can find a place in my heart!!! Love will only remain for Guddu Shukla!! Leesan, Indi, Pensink, Godblessall, still in the race and am always willing to throw myself over Kali Ghat for G!!!😳 Don't think because I am quiet on the subject, I am not in line, think again!!πŸ˜†πŸ˜†
OK, Vanfan Di, now we definitely know you are back in good spirits! Your list, you are too amazing! You always manage to impress me except when you took Nyquil before work!!πŸ˜›
Leesan, my grin was wide reading your hilarious comedy scene.πŸ˜ƒ Wish I was also on the "mop mob". I would have aimed more for Mitthoo, she is the worst of the lot!! Oh, how I miss Aunty Leela, wish they had her back for the finale!!😊
Working on my comedy sceneπŸ₯±!
Pensink, Vedi, so glad for your inputs as well. Will now read all of them.
Much love and Happy Navratri everyone! As women, we can learn a lot from the mother at this time - it only confirms that women are the strength of this world!!
Happy a happy weekend everyone!!

Thanks jps01! FYI I did not take Nyquil before work. 😊It was the day before where I reported at home sick on Wednesday when I took Nyquil during the day. Even that did not go very well with my head. Hope my reputation is restored!πŸ˜ƒ
Yes it was a funny episode and actually I also laughed at the sight of the three mamis arriving in one rickshaw. It was quite a site with the way they had squeezed themselves and the poor guy who had to carry all of them. πŸ˜†It always was amazing to see the three mamis work together. Kalsanwali was the dog that barks more than bites, Mitto was the dog that does not bark much but only bites and Billo was more of a follower for convenience.
Happy Ugadhi, Gudi Parwa and Navratri to you all and have a great weekend!!!😊
