They FOOLED us! Yes, they did! Believe it or not, beyhadh was not prewritten and no one knew (including the actors) what was going to happen and how it was going to end. Season 1, the only season that was worth the time. We can probably say that the first season was actually on papers but no one knew what was going on after that. Such a wonderful cast with a huge fan following and the writers ruined everything. They started losing people after season 1. Writers didn't know what to do so they started having leaps after leaps but didn't succeed to get the audience they lost. They butchered every character one by one. EVERY SINGLE character was butchered including Maya's. I bet once the actor wanted to leave, they killed him/her off 😆 or maybe they didn't have any scenes for them 😆. The cvs could have done so much with the storyline. We could have helped them if they needed ideas 😆. The best award for "ruining a show" goes to the cvs of beyhadh 👏
Ps: the actors did put in a lot of effort especially Jennifer. No one can question her acting and she did justice to Maya. Aneri got a lot of hate as Saanjh but honesty speaking, the girl did try really hard. Kushal gave little to no expressions but he's good looking so we went with the flow. The rest of the cast also played their part very well.
Now let's see how they end it.

It is remarkable how they ruined a show in such a short time. Takes some special talent. 😆 The creatives definitely deserve an award for that.

I'd say it was pre-written till the part where Maya framed Arjun for her murder- the broad outline till then was to follow Gone Girl, which they did a fair bit.

Post that, it was supposed to wrap up early (think as early as the end of August), and then ended up getting a couple of extensions which pushed it to the end of October.

The two extensions probably confused the writers, which explains why stuff feels a bit stretched out ever since the leap when Maya resurfaced with some Sadhus, and Arjun attempted to escape prison.

No way, you think that plastic surgery stuff was prewritten ?

There wasn't any prewritten script. Just a fair bit of broad guidelines at max.

I also think till Maya framed Arjun for murder, it was prewritten and it was supposed to have a dark end, maybe gone girl way.
But idk what made them changed their mind. Maybe the indian audience was not for a dark ending, they always want jeet ki sachai and they wanted to show saanjun story & how they were a pure couple just to establish the contrast which they failed miserably, so here we go, killing maya, singing praises of saanjun so called pure love.

It woudn't have cost them any trp if they ended it on a dark note.

Not sure if my timeline is perfect, but if it was to end on that terrace scene- the one where Maya attempts to kill Saanjh with the bomb, but Arjun and Jhanvi interrupt- there would perhaps have been no mention of the Mansi part (that was explained later by Maya in court when they sentenced her).

The broad idea of GG was to frame him for murder, which they copied. Once on that route, and with Maya and Arjun both having to be alive after showing a scene where Maya's body is on the floor, they had only two choices- a twin sibling Maya or plastic surgery Maya, and they opted for the latter.

Bit like how they copied the essential parts of Samay's character, but gave him a different ending.

Pre-written wouldn't necessarily mean down to the nitty-gritty details and dialogue. It would perhaps be a broad outline, and the outline was for obsessive wife to frame husband for her murder.

Bold: That is the reason a script is required so that you don't have to resort to show such ultra stupid plotlines which make zilch sense.

Prewritten does not mean that scriptwriters can get away by saying that Maya will frame her husband without telling how. This is not a nitty gritty detail. If this is the way script is written, I think anybody can become a script writer.

Well one thing is sure they had an overall idea about the story (broad line) like the starting and the probable end...They knew the trajectory...they were also sure that they wanted to follow Gone Girl to an extent
So, makers had an idea how they wanted to begin the show, the mid point and then they must have discussed the probable options of how they will end it

However most of the tracks if not all must have been written while the show was going on.

Also they were shooting the climax when the news of extension came and thus after that they had to write new material for the extension

I second that, Dexter.

Even S1 was flawed (especially after Maya fell for Arjun) but we all overlook it because of our affection towards the show.
