They clearly said in the promo ki hadd se zyada kuchh bhi achha nhi hota, pyar BHI nhi. The pandit said that Arjun will be all alone. All these show that Arya was never supposed to be the end game

But you chose to ignore these and only look into those aspects which hinted that they could be the end game.

And yet Arjun didn't end up alone did he? So the promos are not always indicative of everything that will happen in the show. Plots change all the time. I never believed that with the strong way they showed ArYa's beyhadh love story and the fact that the show was limited in episodes that they will eventually put Arjun with Saanjh. So he doesn't end up alone. And then they chose to put a mental illness storyline which they never adequately explained. So promos are one thing but you use some judgment once the story starts and I never thought they would marry off Arjun to someone else.

The Saanjun marriage was not on the cards, perhaps in the original scheme of things! Even , Maya's 20-episode long jail life was not planned to be shown-that way-pointlessly dragging it!
Perhaps, these things came into being ,because the channel asked PH to continue the show -for whatever reasons they had- beyond Aug 25th, for a couple of months! A sudden change in the show's duration- came out of blue, in the eleventh hour- when a climax track was already running!
So, a new theme has to be invented, to run the story !
Badala ka intazaar replaced beyhadh pyar as a new theme, when the show started running in its new time slot, with Maya reminding us everytime - at the beginning of some episodes for a week!
So, all those new storyline like, Ayaan's sudden marriage, Arohi, child longing for Saanjh, surrogacy & pregnancy of Maya to come back in Arjun's life, etc etc, all were needed to give a new climax!
Old climax was supposed to end with Maya's arrest , her trial & possibly her last ditch attempt to get Arjun- perhaps resulting into her death!
That anyway, they are still keeping intact and perhaps they are trying to show it, in the last few episodes of new climax as conclusion of the story!
The point being, when the original story was promoted, it was supposed to be a sad end for Maya & Arjun possibly ending up alone with some hints that Saanjh would be waiting for him in hope!
But, things got topsy turvy, when Channel tried to alter the show duration by first, trying to cut short to August 25th , then later back-tracking & trying to extend it to November first week!
In this confusion, the show is now finally ending up in between on October 27th -the last day of telecast!, causing immense damage to flow of the story!
It was obvious the show went haphazard, since beginning of s3! Around June 19th or 20th, to be correct!
And, the news of JW's doing new show also came into public domain, on June 22nd, another pointer how things were handled, since mid June!
