Was rajiv's comeback really needed?

Rajiv/Samay's character was shown dead. Then he returned...we all thought he must have a purpose or a vital role ahead...but as usual, cvs spilled water on our expectations...

what was the need of him to come back? Now he's dead again...and maya still has the upper hand...arjun and sanjh surprisingly forgave him for killing prem...putting all blame on maya...

did his comeback play any role at all? Things are still the way they were right now...his role was just a waste of time...as if the audience were given the treat to watch him rolling in mud, whispering mayaaa and laughing in his creepy crappy manner...

instead...they could have used all these episodes to reveal how maya arranged her fake death with fake lookalike/body? they could have had jahnvi recovered...filled loopholes...but no! we were shown how rajiv has ninja powers...super speed, jumping...and despite having all that, he failed to kill sanjh 🤔...so all in all...no use came out of his comeback!! 😆

In my opinion

Samay had three opportunities to let Maya die as she consistently refused him!
Petrol burning incident, Burried under in coffin & holding her at his gun point!
Every time Samay let her live & did not kill her, as he was so crazily in love with Maya !

Maya's score is evenly poised vis-a-vis Samay, as she appears to be a bit confused when she dealt with him!!
She let him burn when he poured petrol on himself, but when they met later on after a few years, she could have but did not kill him with her gun! She was just satisfied only to give him a kick-butt & bumpy ride!
When things went out of hand, she did not hesitate to kill him again with the swing of anchor! But later a confused Maya showed a weak nerve- a rare phenomenon or characteristics of maya- when Rajiv stood in front of her, offering her the gun & asking him to shoot down!!
Maya didn't or could not, as the same old lingering confusion returned back to her as how to deal with him!
Finally, Samay died, presumably killed by Maya by strangulation - we can only assume as it was not yet shown!

The point is the contrast between two Behadh psycho lovers!
Both are mean, wicked , creepy, deadly, cut-throat & loathsome and deserve the worst possible punishment!
But one was slightly more humane to the other while the other did not even have that!!

So, Maya beats Samay hands down taking the no: 1 beyhadh hated character of the show while Samay takes the no: 2 spot!

This is the purpose of Samay's character to compare & contrast with Maya - as he came into existence in this show & again back, in her life too!
