Did Maya get a fair opportunity in her life, to redeem herself for good?

Some persons support Maya passionately irrespective of what she does & stand with her blaming her childhood environment, parents & even others in her life for her Evil nature! While some others go hammer & tongs berating her at every available opportunity, wanting her to be punished once & for all! So, what is the real picture, here? Did her life give enough opportunities for her to course correct & set herself in right path?

Maya's first opportunity to give-up her evil mind came, when Arjun accepted her proposal! Maya got what she wanted in her young life! She got the love of her life! Did she change after that? ... No!

Next available opportunity was when her marriage plans materialised against all odds! She even removed Ashwin -a tormentor since her childhood, finally from her life. Did she change, then? ...No!

Maya's married life was not a smooth sail! She inherited unwanted baggage in the form of Vandana, Ayaan & Saanjh! But slowly & steadily she managed to remove them from Arjun's life! The couple got themselves liberated from these irritating relatives & a friend! They managed to secure an exclusive private life for three years without any interference! Did she get peace of mind after that? . . . No!

A fighting Maya did not give-up! She carried on with her irritating relatives & friend when they returned back in her life & as time went by -eventually she got pregnant, too! Did the attainment of motherhood soften her feelings? . . . No!

Maya had a very bad past in the form of Rajiv! She had to deal with another obsessive psycho in her life & at the same time had to defend her marriage, as well! Finally, she won the battle with Samay & got rid of him decisively! Did that event change her life back to good? . . . No!

Maya went to Asylum for treatment as everyone including Arjun believed that she is suffering some mental disorder! Did her six months stay over there help her to recover lost ground? . . .No!

Maya returned back to her family! Her advanced pregnancy & expectations on the arrival of her child caused a sea change of attitude in her adversaries! Even Arjun was softening to her after Samay's debacle! Did she get to embrace goodness then, at least? .. . No!

Maya lost everything! Her bandar & love for Arjun were major casualties! She was not having a desire to live without Arjun's love & so she chose to die! Did her death finally give peace to her! .No!

Post her death, she seems to have a life as she happens to survive miraculously somehow! She has received her Shuddhikaran! She is a Sadhvi now! Has she given up her moh Maya? Has she attained the elusive peace, in her life now?

The answer will be known when we get to meet the new Sadhvi in her latest home - an Ashram where she has chosen to spend her remaining life!

Let us hope the Sadhvi is at peace with herself, finally!

I am sure Maya is not changed this time too, may be foe some episodes it seems she changed but after sometime she will be shown more dangerous than ever i think...when the show end will be near then she will be finished or changed.

If your prediction is going to happen - if Maya is not willing to change her mindset, then only her True Friend, Lord Ganesha has to help her! That will be her last chance in life -or even if it were to be her real death that time!

Totally agree with your post.
It is not about if Maya got the chance to redeem herself or not..Chances matter when a person wants to change and redeem in the first place and in my opinion Maya does not want to change...She doesn't realize that her ways are wrong...she doesn't realize what true love is.

She did get fair amount of chances to lead a happy life but she didn't take them since she never wanted to change.

i totally agree with u. for a person to be given a chance to Redeem themselves from their past actions they have to think that their actions were wrong in the 1st place and that something is wrong with them. when a person reacts to a situation and does something wrong then that person always has a reason for their action. by Maya killing of ashwin, samay, bandana- she got rid of the problem bt not the reason for the problem. and this is the issue at the moment wat is Maya's real problem is it her childhood problems, was it that she thought arjun loved saanhj and if given a chance would have seen it to. bt then why never attack saanhj directly. a doctor can not provide treatment without knowing the problem and Maya is self medicating without knowing wat is wrong with her and her life. i wish that its not her dying that is her redemption. also we never were shown wat triggered of the full blown maniac.

bt there has never been a chance for her to redeem herself coz she has never thought she was wrong

Au contraire, Sandiab, there have been plenty of occasions when she's openly mouthed that she's wrong. She knows killing someone is wrong.

It's one of the things that lends credence to the theory that she may be more Buri than Beemaar.

See there is clear difference in doing wrong and knowing that you are wrong

She has mouthed so many times that she knows what she has done is wrong but she herself is not wrong...She thinks killin Ayaan was right because he did not give her any other option.

This is the same thing she told Vandana "Maa maine galti ki hai par main galat nahi hoon"

She knows that killing Vandana was wrong but again she said that she killed Vandana coz she wanted her to feel the pain of bandar.

So, she thinks that she is doing wrong coz world forces her to do so and she does not think that she is wrong.

She needs to know that her actions are wrong and so is she...She is definitely looking more buri than beemar at the moment

Anshvi, that's true, but practically everyone who does a wrong thing has a justification for doing it. It may be a split second decision in their mind, but it happens.

A thief might shoot the police guy who is chasing him- in the mind of the thief, he needs to provide for family and if the guy catches him, he's behind bars.So he weighs the pros and cons, and makes a quick decision- shoot the guy and save himself. He might know it is wrong, but there is an inner justification.

However there are boundaries to even justifications- a moral code or conscience if you have to call it. Maya just happens to breach those boundaries too freely.
