Turning off the lights was a mere prank for Arjun. But it took Maya back to the darkest times in her past. The days when she, a mere innocent girl, got shut in the darkness with no one to hear her pleas. The days that convinced her that there is no point in crying for help. The days when the loneliness that still surrounds her, was forced upon her by her father. Little did Arjun know that his silly act of revenge could bring back the worst of demons back for the bold, strong, fearless Maya Mehrotra. And little did he know that his extended hand is to her now, what her mother's once was.
It was a short scene. We got only a tiny glimpse. But boy, did Jennifer sell it. She was so powerful and so on point. Not just in the lift scene, but also the scene in her office when she shivers in fear on seeing her father.
Rajesh Khattar is perfect in his creepy role too. That smirk he gave Maya, looking into the camera, made me shudder so hard. He scares and disgusts me, and that is the sign of a job well done by the actor.
CVs, good job on the episode today. Good balance on everything. But please do pick up some pace.
Jennifer, you were brilliant.
