The little drops of tears that rested on her lips, made him weak on his knees.
He looked up at her then cursed the sky. She stared at him with knitted brow. She opened her mouth to ask him but sealed it again with a frown.
"You won't say it?"
She nods her head in no and stares at her feet.
He smiles weakly and shakes his head.
"Have you ever told me the truth?"
Her eyes shot at him and she moved her head in yes ,the few tears resting on her eyelids, slipped all over the places.
"You have said the truth! Good, tell me, what was the truth in all those things about you, Maya?"
Her lips quivered and she looked away. The answer was clear. She never said any truth about her.
"My feelings for you were true, are true. "
"Feelings" he raised an eyebrow and mocked her
He caught her hand in his palm and placed it over his heart.
"Do you even know what feelings are?" He tilt his head to meet her eyes, " do you even know? Feelings are related to this." He taps her hand on his chest.
"No matter how poisonous the relationship is, it remains here and you Mrs. Maya Rudra Roy"
He paused
"You live here."
He place his hand on his head "here."
He takes a step back and open his arms " here."
"It kills me to love you maya. Every single minute of my life goes in regret. Regret of meeting you, regret of loving you, regret of ..."
He trails of
"I love you . I love you. God! Why do I still love you. Why?"
And he breaks down into tears.
