Agreed! Coupled with Jen’s impeccable acting.. those scenes clearly stand out. As stan world says “QUEEEEN” 👸🏻

I agree with your first line completely. Things start somewhere and go nowhere. Which is why I still watch the Bhagyas.😆 No expectation of any progress. The story has never gone anywhere in two years. So no disappointment either.

Jennifer's acting is amazing. However what I like this Season, they have focused equally on the story, the backdrop and the other characters in addition to Maya's basic character, which I guess they had not done as adequately in the last season. Therefore, I feel it is all balanced and the whole show is elevated to another level.

I also think there are several minute details which can be overlooked. It’s fun to watch it and notice every twitch. For instance, when Rishi fake yawned, Maya sharply looks at the phone and there’s so much undisguised hatred at his capability to lie.

I mentioned it in the TRP thread I guess. 😆 No man, you don't miss much. I did not notice it. I am going to rewatch it. I re-watched yesterday's episode. I am glad MJ is coming to the fore.

And it is amazing how the cracks are finally beginning to show, and it is not sudden. it is beautiful and gradual. Three weeks ago, the Roys had a different party, things were strained then, but now, things are visibly more distressed than they appeared then. 👏 And, I have noticed, MJ's clothes have become slightly darker too. He was wearing very light coloured clothes earlier. Now, with his self control slowly stripping off so we can see the real him more and more, its visible in his clothes as well.

I loved Beyhadh 1.0 and I love Beyhadh 2.0. Jennifer is so versatile. The range of her performance is unmatched. Every episode reveals a new side to her personality.

I’ve this terrible habit of watching something either because of a particular actor or just good writing and getting inevitably attached to it.. so either I’m all in or I’m on a dry spell where I’ve nothing to watch for months!! 😆

Totally!! Even actors seem to know their craft and are doing a damn good job.

I watched Beyhadh 1.0 but not as intensely as I am watching BeyHadh 2.0, coz B1 was too scarring for me to watch it everyday and not feel the chills. I felt the same about Saubhagyavati Bhava (No comparison between the shows, just MY perception), I think coz Maya's character was the only one given that kind of impetus. And somewhere, I sort of stopped watching, then re-watched towards the end. I followed it regularly though. I felt it was too dark, in comparison B2 is dark, but it is more of a thriller with a motive, and less of a sociopathic take.

Since the advent of these streaming apps, I am way less detached to shows than before. 😆 Coz I can easily go back and catch up whenever. A lot of actors do a great job. In B2, I believe everyone's insane! I did not expect Shivin to be THIS good. Antara, I last saw her in Qubool Hai like five years ago, and she was playing a comical, silly, senseless villain. The actress has had an excellent makeover and she's awesome. 👏

Ooh. Rewatch it and let me know your thoughts in that particular scene?!

The cracks are omnipresent. The societal pressure to present a picture of a “happy family” still weighs them down.

@bold: wow!! That’s such a keen observation 👏

I am not really into MJ because male chauvinism is the biggest turn off for me. I’d take every character, in any shade, but that inherent misogyny he exhibits makes something crawl in me 🤢

Actually if you notice, he isn't a male chauvinist or a misogynist. He's an MJ-chauvinist. If it makes any sense. He doesn't demean women coz they are women. He demeans people coz they are people, and he's above them, coz he's MJ. That includes Antara, Rudra, Rudra's mysterious investor whom he doesn't know, Maya and Rishi too. He doesn't necessarily put his sons down, but this kind of control over them is obnoxious, but he doesn't feel a single thing is out of place. In MJ's world, MJ is God and Devil, and everyone else a slave to his command, and he doesn't even realise he's doing that. I'll watch now.

Also, there’s so much content out there that if something doesn’t excite me anymore, it’s super easy to switch onto something better.

This is going to sound shallow but I had looked at Shivin and thought “chalo he's good looking” as I hadn’t watched anything of his earlier. So he was a definite revelation!! ☺️

I hadn’t caught up with QH after Karan quit, but I can vaguely recall her and I have to say, she’s doing a fab job. Yesterday, her helplessness and addiction was portrayed beautifully! 👏
