I think she still has some goodness left in her. The way she helped that transgender. Her warmth is most felt by her mother. It would be interesting to see if she feels any guilt on harming Antara.

I don't think she is bad, she is antihero.
She is good, but she is sadistic as well. People's respect and not because she demands it, she earns it. Like Rudra himself, he started hating her, but her fencing skills and Ananya raving about her books sparked interest in her.
I think she isnjust trying to test how much he can stand upto his fears and then will help him out. I hope this is it, CCVs can't pull of Maya season 1 post the marriage again!

Alone, despondent with no one to turn to and therefore she helped the transgender. Those who are ostracised. She hasn't realised that Rudra is one of those people too. But she wasn't always like this, so it's not her core character. She developed this trait like some defense mechanism. So there is a part of her obsessive for revenge, and another part of her who is the core of her, who has some goodness. We won't see it immediately, but it would emerge with time. Right now she is focusing on revenge.

Actually she might feel guilty. She might be fighting for the right, but it might affect her psychologically. Just like soldiers suffer from PTSD after returning from wars. Those wars are also for the good of their country.

Exactly my point. I think it must have taken a huge toll on her to become like this.
This is where Bhagwad Geeta steps in. Arjun Cant kill his family, just like Maya can't see bloodshed and hurt (acoording to me) but the words and the shlokas encourage the two to do thier Karma (fight for right/punish MJ)
