People may be scared to do anything coz if anyone tries to do something good it may be against the intentions of greedy politicians. I really don't konw where the world is heading. I honestly want to make a positive change. I guess the best way to start is with your family n friends. Make them concerned about the environment and all that :D

Awesome topic!!! I always thought generally it was 2 things majority of bengalis do that's holding the country back!

1. We really don't have that much pride in our country. The ones who do have it takes it a little too extrememly. The ones who don't, they dont even bother. I read in a article once in london almost 80% of the indian restaurants are owned by Bengalis or the chef is a bengali. Yet it's passed of as being Indian. Same goes for lots of other things. Before if someone asked me where I was from I would be like Bangladesh as soon as they would ask " where is that" or more like " WHAT is that" I would just say " umm well I am kind of like indian". Ofcourse I don't do that anymore. All my friends know I am bengali (which makes me happy). Language ofcourse comes into play. My little brother is very bad at bangla. If we tell him to speak it he ends up using 5 english words in one bangla sentence. Me and my sister are pretty close to doing the same. My mom yells at us all the time that we are forgetting our culture. Forget people like us who live abroad. The people in Bangladesh are trying very hard to forget their own culture.

2. No one really cares about other people. Everyone is busy with himself. I have never heard a bengali person say I want to grow up help people. (like an actual goal not the general saying). Not stereotyping but most bengalis have this kind of attitude on life. if there is trash infront of their door instead of picking it up just shove it towards the neighbors. As long as it's not their house that's being dirty, everything is OK!!!
