It has been almost 3 months since BHRK has gone off air. But it feels like yesterday. I miss this show especially Rajni & Devta.This story is built on Devta's POV after Surili's heart attack happened & Kants learned that Rajni saved Surili. We have seen this in show from Shajani's POV & we never knew what exactly happened between Dev & Shogu. So this story is about them & my imagination.After sometime!

Next Day!


The entire house was silent as Gyaan,Dyaan has gone to office & Maggie, Sharmila were in hospital with surili. and shaan has locked up himself in his room. Shogata tried to call him but he refused to respond or to open the door. Dev's phone was still switched off & shogata could not find any of his stuffs in lab or home. she could realize that her unknown fear is turning into reality.

Days slowly started passing by. Surili's health slowly started improving. Shaan refused to meet any of his family members.He has locked himself in his room. Though he was informed about Rajni saving surili he was still in a beleif that Rajni was responsible for surili's heart attack & moreover he blamed himself for all this mess. Shogata was spending most of her time in hospital with her mom. Unknown to anyone she was secretly trying to contact Dev. But there was no luck. His phone is switched off & once she went to his home, well not exactly his home his relatives home with whom he was staying all these years even they had no idea about him as for months he was staying in Kant nivaas. She just couldn't understand what exactly had happened between Shaan Rajni & Dev. She wanted to help Shaan as she couldn't bare his condition at the moment. But he refused anyone to do so. only once or twice he came to hospital to meet mom. shogata could make out that he was extremely guilty seeing mom. she just don't know how to make the circumstances better. surili's health, shaan's greif, amrish's helplessness & above all there is no news about Rajni & Dev. She has never faced such dialema in her life. after surili has been discharged from hospital shaan announced his decision to moving USA for sometime. Though entire family tried to change his mind shaan was firm. In fact he had got all the arrangements done before announcing.

Yay!!!! I am glad that finally someone wrote about them... I always used to think about those 5 years and now I am excited that I will get to read about the divorce process and everything that happened during those years... Time flies... It's almost three months and I still can't get over them... Seeing the story from DevTa's perspective will be really a treat to me...

Part 2:

Despite of all the tension surrounding in the air, Shogata enjoyed the beauty of mornings. This was mainly because of her realization that she was in love. She always was in love in with Dev. It was just a matter of acceptance. She really doesn't know when exactly she has started loving him. From a very young age what they both did was just to fight. Fighting for delicious food, chocolates etc. They both have grown up literally as logger heads to each other. One day when apparently Dev had not shown up she felt restless instead of feeling happy. Shogata still remembers that day. She waited the whole day for him without anyone else's knowledge. that restlessness still he showed up, that feeling is still palpable for her. It was then she realized that she has a new feeling for him. After which she never left a chance to irritate him. Purposefully for silly things she made reasons to fight with him. so that she could be with him. She never really had the guts to open up about her feelings for him. that was mainly because she knew what exactly his reaction will. She really don't know why he hate her so much? Was she that bad? And more over she was scared how shaan will react? She never wanted to come in between there friendship. Shaan & Dev are not just best friends forever. They relation is more deep. The only person Shaan ever trusted with his passion for science and the only person who understood it was Dev. All these complications worsened up when she grew up. After a period of time when she understood that she just can't really supress her feelings for him she decided to run away. Run away from him. Run away from her family & from herself. Without any one's knowledge she decided to apply for her graduation in fashion designing in USA. She revealed it only to her mom about this initially. Though initially Surili hesitated but eventually she supported her. Her entire family was against in sending her alone abroad. But somehow she managed to convince everyone. While leaving to USA she promised herself not to look back about her first love. It was extremely difficult initially. Shogata buried herself in studies & part time jobs, which to an extent helped her in not thinking about him. But there were many nights in her bed her heart had ditched her. There were many nights she couldn't sleep thinking about him & finally she had to use sleeping tablets. even after completing her graduation she preferred to stay back in USA to shape up her career. The ruthness in fashion field had helped her not to be herself, which actually helped her to move on with a fact that he was never meant to be for her. In all those years only once she had came to India. To attend her brother Dyaan's wedding. Shogata preferred no to intract with Dev during the wedding. Even if she had to she showed her arrogant attitude which doesn't went well with Dev and as usual they ended up fighting.


She reached in peak of her career during all those years in USA. It was then she a met  Mathew, a famous business man who happened to be the sponser of her one of the fashion show. He was smitten by her the moment he saw her. He wasted no time in proposing her. But Shogata was not interested. She believed firmly that a marriage can be sucessfull only with Love and trust in between the couple. so she rejected him. But Mathew was not the one who backs out. He literally followed her everywhere making her even more angry. One day she insulted him to that extent that she thought he will never again shows up. But she was proved wrong. Next day he again came up. Finally to avoid him forever she said she can marry only a guy whom her mom approves. shogata was suprised when next day she received Surili's call saying that Mathew spoke to her & apparently her mom had enquired about him and she said there is nothing wrong in saying yes to Mathew, Shogata decided to consider about him. She knew how it feels when you didn't get the love reciprocated by the person whom we love the most. She has been through the same for years. while dating him shogata couldn't help but to show her irritation as moody tantrums as she had to be in a relationship whom she doesn't love but only for her family's reputation sake. But much to her suprise Mathew never felt offended. Instead he always coped up with her. Calmed her down when she shows her moody tantrums. Shogata couldn't help but to feel sorry for him. Because how much ever she tried she just couldn't love him. That place in her heart has always belonged to one man. Dev! All this agitation had unfourtunately came out in front of Rajni who happened to be Dev's siter. Shogata knew she was being unfair with Rajni. Fact that she was geniunely a good person just like her brother made her even more irritated. she had to somehow vent her anger & frustration to someone.  But her life took a u turn on her wedding day when she came to know that she has become the wife of a man whom she always loved but got only hatred in return. Shogata still wondered how did dev exactly knew about Mathew's reality? Even after all the insults he showed in register office she couldn't believe that Mathew had a different personality. that's mainly because he always was a composed person who took all her tantrums affectionately. That was the main reason for her trying to patch up with Mathew. Also Dev declared that he prefered to commit suicide rather than falling in love with her. If only he had confessed that he loves her and doesn't want to lose her things would have been different. But shogata knows Dev can never love her. Not even in his wild dreams he can fall for Shogata Kant. But even knowing this she just coludn't stop hoping maybe one day miracle can happen. Because of which she revealed about her feelings in front of her family when there jeep were going to meet with an accident. All the moments with him post there marriage made her hope against all the odds maybe they can work out there relation. Shogata still remember how she gets agitated when someone addresses her as Dev's wife initially. But to a point of time she has got adjusted to it. Accepted it that she is wife of a man whom she loves unconditionally but could never get it reciprocated. Shogata still doesn't know where he is now or what exactly is going to happen between them in these circumstances where her mother has forbidden everyone not even to say Rajni's name in home and her brother got divorced from Rajni and left to USA. shogata knows how much Dev loves and cares for Rajni. Despite of all these she decided she will confess her feelings for him when she get a chance to meet him. It doesn't matter that he hates her. But she just can't keep her feelings hidden. shogata knows it's not necessary that he should love her back just because she loves him. It's ok if he reject her. But she has to confess her feelings for him.


Few days later:

It was a rainy day and except for shogata and surili no one was there in kant house. Everyone has gone out for there work. Surili was still on bed rest. Shogata was suprised to see a young lawyer in her home. She introduced herself as Adv. Bhoomika Verma and handed over an envelop. shogata opened the envelop with curiosity. But she was startled after reading it. Dev has signed and sent her divorce papers.  She felt like th whole world crushed in front of her. It was when she felt a hand supporting on her shoulders she had realized that she had actually fell down & if not Bhoomika had not has supported her she would have suffered a severe injury. Shogata could make out that Bhoomika was extremely shocked seeing her reaction. after sometime shogata managed to spoke.
Shogata: I need to meet him before i sign this.

Bhoomika: I am sorry Shogata. Dev ne saaf bola tha. usse kisse se bhi nahi milna. woh jald se jald yeh bin mathlab ka ristha katham karna chatha hoon.

a meaning less relationship! that is what there marriage is. which she has actually forgotten. She know she can't force him against his wish. she can fight with him for everything under this world but not for his love. Love is not something you can acheive by fighting. He definetly have all the right in the world to lead a happy life and most importantly with the person whom he loves. That was not her unfortunately. She remembered her Nana ji's words. If you love someone truly and deeply then you should have the strength to let them go for there happiness even if you have to be miserable. after sometime she composed herself and signed the papers with a shaking hands knowing that everything is over. even that mild ray of hope she had all these time thattoo. they are never meant to be together!  

Part 3

Dev was standing like a culprit in front of a fuming Bhoomika. At the moment she is too angry with him. Seeing Shogata's reaction after receiving divorce papers from him, Bhoomika was too angry on him.

Bhoomika: why Dev? Why are you doing this? even though you told me that Shogata will react emotionally but what i saw was just unbearable. Seeing her reaction it's clear that she loves you a lot. And i know somewhere you too does. then why are you not giving a chance to your relationship?
Dev: Kuch logko ki kismat aisi hai. Chah kar bhi mein shogata ke saath nahi ho saktha. especially in this situation.
Bhoomika: what situation Dev? Shogata ka bhai aur tumara bestfriend Shaan ne tumari behan Rajni ko chodiya. aur tum kya kar rahi ho? uski badla Shaan ki behan se le rahi hoon?
Dev: Badla? mein apne sapne mein bhi usko dukh dene ke baare mein  soch nahi sakta.
Bhoomika: toh ab tume kya lagta hai? tumne usse bahut khushi de di?
Dev: I know shogata meri wajhe se bahut hurt hui hai. par mein majboor hoon. mein apni behan Rajni ko nahi chodh sakta. usse protect karna mera farz hai. aur uske saath ab koi nahi hai. Shaan ne toh uske saath hamesha hamesha ke liye chod diya. Aur iss baath pe humare beech mein bahuth bada jhagada hogaya. aur mein bhi hamesha hamesha ke liya shaan se ristha thodh diya. inn halatho mein mere aur shogata ke beech kuch nahi ho saktha. infact hum dono ke liye judha hona hi acha hoga. Shaan ab US mein hai. aur koi toh hona chahiya uss ghar ke logo ka khayal rakhne ke liye. Kant parivar ko iss waqath sirf aur sirf Shogata sambhal sakthi hoon.
Bhoomika: Phir bhi dev iss tarah tum divorce papers mere haath bhejna teekh nahi tha. kam si kam tume usse milna chahiye tha.
Dev could only give a helpless look. Fact is that he just can't face her and ask for a divorce. At the moment he has taken a firm decision, that is to protect Rajni. But Shogata's  face makes him weak. He can't hurt her. Though she has never voiced out he had understood that the hatredness on her face in front of him is only a mirage to mask her feelings, deep down in heart she had always loved him. Cared for him truly like no one else have ever done. Neither he can reveal his true feelings for her at the moment. If he does the next moment she will be wanting to be with him. At the moment he is not in a situation to take up her responsiblity. He felt terrible. And also angry with Shaan. His one impulsive decision has changed so many lifes.
Dev thanked Bhoomika and left from her office. Bhoomika could make out that both Dev and Shogata even though entered in a marital relationship in an unexpected circumstances they both loves each other a lot. She has seen many couples fighting for divorce for there own self benefits. But that's not that case with Dev and Shogata. Dev wanted to cut all the ties from Shogata so that he never had to look back to a family who abandoned his sister. Whereas Shogata signed divorce papers only for dev's happiness. she still remembered Shogata's words " Agar iss divorce se dev aur baki sab log ko khushi milega toh mein iss risthe ko katham karne ke liye tayar hoon." It's only the circumstances that had gone wrong between these two. She hoped life give them a second chance to these two people who loves each other unconditionally.


After leaving from Bhoomika's office Dev directly went to the Hanuman temple near Boriwali station. He wanted to spent sometime alone. He always used to come to this temple whenever he felt restless. At the moment all he could think is about Shogata. What will be her condition now? Knowing her he knew she will not show even 1% of her greif and pain outside. She will only supress it in her heart, which in fact is even more worse. He exactly doesn't remember when he has started falling for her. He had lost his parents at a very young age and after which he had ended up living with his distant relatives who had made very sure that he felt like a useless unwanted creature in there house. It was meeting Shaan changed his life. A friend more like a brother who took him to his home and provided him a family which provided him food, shelther and education. shogata was hardly 5 or 6 years when he met her first. Being the youngest and only daugther of the family she was a pampered princess. He never used to leave a chance to irritate her by snatching away her chocolates, by pulling her neatly tied complicated braid etc etc. The interesting fact is that she always allowed him to fight with her. As they grew up he felt extremely protective and possessive about her. He never liked anyone looking at her with a different intention. But he never showed it out. He has always masked it out by fighting with her for silly issues. He never felt it right to express his feelings for her as she was his best friend's younger sister. Being a loyal friend he didn't feel right to engage in a romantic relationship with his sister. It will be like betraying his friend's trust. And when Shogata decided to go abroad for her studies it helped him a lot not to think about her which was impossible with her presence near him. All those years when she was in USA only once she had came to India to attend Dhyan and Sharmila's wedding. The ruthlessness in fashion world had changed her a lot. She has become so damn arrogant and that attitude made it easy for him to make belive himself and others that he hates her. But he was so wrong. When he felt like mathew was using shogata to cover up his disablity he understood that he still care about her. There is no way that he could allow a wrong person to enter her life. Because of which he had to convince Rajni to stop her marriage. But not even in his dreams he had thought that Rajni will get them married. Along with everyone he too was shocked. But still he felt it wrong because he felt Shogata likes Matthew. And her accusation that he married her because he is attracted to her made him even more angry. Fact that she thought about him so low made him angry. So he just declared that he better commit suicide rather than falling for her. But there were many moments post there marriage they spent alone fighting with each other. Those fights made him see the same Shogata whom he knew in childhood. The arrogant attitude was just a mask. She was still the same person. But why she has hidden herself was something he couldn't understand. Few days later he got the answer for it from Shaan. He revealed that Shogata declared in front of everyone that she use to like him a  lot in childhood. That fact indeed changed his behaviour towards her a lot. He has started softening towards her. Especially when Shaan went missing he could really see Shogata's care for him. She was the only person who bothered to know where he was going when Shaan went missing & to inform him about Shaan's return. Against all the odds he started hoping maybe they can give a chance in there relationship. But Surili's heart attack changed everything, which made Shaan to end his relationship with Rajni and him forever.
He knew is being unfair with Shogata. But he had to. Both of there families need them in this crisis. He can only pray that Shogata gets the strength to overcome this pain & support her family. He don't know wheather destiny will give him a chance to be with her once again. But if he get it he will not let her go for sure! 

 

Dev and Shogata shared an amazing and unique relationship... They used to bicker almost every time they were together but they never tried to hurt each other emotionally...

But after 5 years when Shogata saw Dev ...she lost her cool...She was angry with him and the most probable reason for that could be that it was Dev who had sent her divorce papers 5 years back...

Shogata forgets everyone around her and starts fighting with him whenever she sees Dev...Oh!..these two always take my breadth away... <3

@ bold I feel the same she was initially shocked seeing him but the shock turn into anger soon. whereas Dev was calm & composed as if he had expected to face her anger. The fact that he said " humara ristha kuch aisa hai" to Ria & vikram showed it. He spoke it on both of there behalf. a relationship which has a strong base and nothing not even the time & circumstances can come in between to change it.

sonali jaffer had given a hint in instagram about season 2 coming up towards this year ending. she also mentioned that they will clear everything which they were planning to do post leap but couldn't do because of abrupt ending. so mostly v will get to c what happened between Dev shogu post shaan rajini split. also i am curious about Dhyaan Sharmila. it was previously indicated through Dhyaan's reaction that either of them might have a fertility issue considering a fact that they are married for ten years at least by the time show ended some back story must be there.
