Rajnikant's name being associated with my show will grab eyeballs: Karan V Grover
Best known for his debut venture, Saarrthi (Star Plus), Karan V Grover, is one talented artist, who has proved that acting comes naturally to him. After Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, Karan is back again with his new show, Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant on Life OK.
Presenting a unique concept of a genius scientist and his creation, robot Rajni_Kant, who is an ideal bahu, the series is definitely an entertaining watch.
Recently, we caught up with the good looking actor for an interview. Here's Karan getting candid withTellychakkar.com on his new show, co-stars, journey and many more.
Why did you remain absent from screen for a long time?
I was not absent; in fact my film released last year in October, named Wedding Pulav. And as far as television is concerned, I had signed the project Rajni_Kant in June 2015. Unfortunately, it got delayed and finally released early this year.
What made you opt for this role?
I simply love sci-fi genre. I genuinely believe in the scientific creation of robots and believe that in near future they will walk amongst us. Hence, when I got the opportunity of doing something similar on Indian television, I couldn't say no and agreed to take up the venture.
Do you think audience will accept scientific comedy?
Well, our audience has always accepted everything that has entertained them. And I am sure that they can relate to the characters that are being portrayed in the series. So, I am pretty sure that they will love Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant.
Do you think that the name of south Indian superstar Rajnikant being associated with the show will help u to grab more eyeballs?
Of course, it will draw due attention of the viewers and will also increase the expectation levels. As we have seen in superstar Rajnikanth's films, he stands for extraordinary and superhuman qualities. So we are aware that we have to deliver performances to match up to the level of the great superstar's name.
Even before being aired, the show has been involved into many controversies. What do you have to say about that?
Oh, it's all hearsay. I never get bothered with controversial banter.
Throughout your career who has been your favourite co-star?
(With a cute smile) So far it has been Suhasi Goradia Dhami, but I guess Riddhima Pandit is surely the next one in the line.
Riddima being a new face do you have any tips for her?
Riddhima is quite open and easily reciprocates, so I do give her tips at times. Otherwise I feel she hardly needs any.
Any dream role that you would like to work in future.
(Without much thought) Two characters that I would love to play someday are James bond and Batman.
