This wedding, like you mentioned, was about celebrating the joy of the occasion, the joy of the bride and groom and the joy of the families. In case of almost all the shows on TV now, wedding is a trope for more tamasha, bold proclamations and just a way of having the leads share a bedroom for future hot scenes even when they hate each other. BBKD's unassuming wedding finally focused on the ordinary over extravagance. LOLL what a paragraph...iske liye I have to say, "yeh maara paapad waale ko"👏😆

So true about what weddings are in most shows...a means to an end...and that end usually is random "hawt" scenes and bedroom politics😆...and also so true about how the ceremony is used as an excuse for tamasha, period...that's it...yahaan despite the basic premise of a wedding being gatecrashed, they turned the whole thing around into something so utterly heartwarming.

Abhi and Meera were glowing with happiness😳. They couldn't take their eyes off each other; Abhi was completely smitten by her. When Meera came out wearing that sari, she was beaming. I think she mentally patted herself on the back for doing something that made Abhi and Babli so happy😆. I loved that tiny bit when Abhi sees his mother's happiness of seeing Meera in that sari and then focuses his attention again at Meera. His expression there, its like finally it registered to him that there is someone he can lean on, who cares for his happiness and that of his loved ones as much as he cares for others. He was just overwhelmed by her gesture and the fact that she loves him so much. It was such a "kaise mujhe tum mil gayi" expression😆. Abhi had to be dragged to the mandap but even then he kept on turning his head to look at Meera, he was so enchanted by her. Even during kanyadaan both of them were just grinning at each other because they are so happy to be getting married.Another bit that I adored was Abhi helping Meera step forward during pheras*. The way he held her. To Abhi, she's like his personal miracle...so yes, that "kaise mujhe tum mil gayi" line is totally apt for how he feels...every single time she overwhelms him with her uncanny ability to become the source of his joy, and he just falls a little more in love with her...that was the expression on his face again today.

Kapil, Sona, Rohan and Riya holding dupatta over Meera as she walked to the mandap was such a sweet and beautiful scene. Everyone was smiling from ear to ear. When flowers were being showered on Meera, she looked stunning. The camerawork and lighting of this show is superb. I loved how in that bit everyone let go off his or her grudges and just went with the moment. Also, side mein, Kapil was gleefully showing his Balraj his Kasa hat, and Balraj gave an expression like you are so cute'😆. I find it so natural that no matter who the scene is focusing on, in every scene all the characters are doing something- be it trivial and even pointless- rather than standing around like disinterested audiences. Haha I noticed this too! I was about to cap it...Balraj was actually pulling Kapil's cheek there as if to say, "So cute"😆...such awesome little little touches they add...even earlier in the epi when Balraj asks Avni to go find Abhi, she's rushing with a basket of flowers in her hand and we see later why...even Kapil and Sona were busy fixing the lights on the second floor...and we learn why later...setting things up for the Japanese theme lighting😆

Anyway, the precap was so cute. I love the fact that Meera is sleeping with Rohan and Mona, I love that Abhi and Babli were trying to wake her up and of course I love the reappearance of Abhi's notepad. LOL yes, I want to see how Meera ends up sleeping with Rohan and Mona...and I'm curious to see if Abhi ko uske room mein jagah bhi mili...lol I guess he ended up sleeping on that couch/window seat near the window that he usually crashes on when the kids hog his bed😆...yes it was indeed nice to see Abhi's notepad again after many days.

Edit: Was taking about this bit*. The only thing missing was them holding hands for the pheras also😆...but somehow this also felt right...kaafi hand holding in logon ne kar li thi in the confession/dupatta scene😆

And this show despite otherwise not having as solid writing as NBT, remarkably managed to show the most beautiful wedding on TV that I've ever seen...they actually managed to personify that "Simplicity mein hi sundarta hai" line for real today😆...I'm sach mein amazed.

Lol. You absolutely read my mind here. That's exactly what I remembered. That wedding was dreadful 😆. That is also the reason I want the shows to be finite ad not drag on. This wedding I have no words that will justify my feelings:) Sach me, Simplicity mein hi sundarta hai" and i would like to add " Achhe logo ke saath hamesha achha hota hai"😆

It's not even any competition...I will remember this beautiful, heartwarming wedding for a long time...a standard to measure all other garish TV weddings against.

PJ and ND were just beautiful together...they have effortlessly natural chemistry together...such ease they bring to Abhi-Meera like they've been together for yearsss😆...such a natural couple they make...everything about the wedding had these beautiful subtle touches added from them.

Sach me hard to believe its only two months:( As ND says its the Vibe😛

You know what makes this sequence stand out? The way the director shoots the ensemble cast as a whole...the cast, the actors are what actually embellish the whole setting/scenario...everyone looks so believably INVOLVED in the scenes, it feels like you're watching a realistic family scenario unfold...wedding included...cuz usually wedding sequences involve close up shots of X or Y or dramatic panning shots...but yahaan the visual of the families on the side, the cousins in the background, all in expression...the soft lighting, the slow motion and the perfecttt bg score...SO SO happy they used Dil ki bhaasha on the wedding sequence instead of some kind of mantras...this was just so Abhi-Meera...it has to be "Tere jaisa sohna kahin nahin hona koi"...that is them in a nutshell.

Lol @ wedding Mantras😆 They are all in character even if they are in BG and that makes it very real. Even that random aunty was in character throughout. 👏 I really loved how the used their song even for the wedding.

LOL yes Mona, Kapil etc. ki commentary in the end was funny...and LMAO@ Meera's "saari bhi pyajame ke NAADE ki tarhaan hoti hai" analogy🤣...Man, such gems we could have heard from this girl in the long run.

Her one liners are a gem and the way she delivers it makes it endearing:)

For Abhi today "Tere chehre se hate nahi mere nain re"line suits perfectly😆

i am still overwhelmed by the beauty of all this. Such ethereal it was. i agree with all of you the simplicity just made it so special. they brought out the mithaas so well. the glowing faces of abhi & meera were such a delight to watch. another fav moment of mine was how kapil, sona and rohan ran to hold that duppatta it gave me such a special fuzzy feeling they were her brothers in that moment is true sense. i can't express how beautiful that was or when the flower shower started *sigh* the visual will remain with me for a long time. meera and abhi looked like a "real" couple in the mandap:)). they have outdone themselves at simplicity too. yup the lighting was top notch gave such a fairytalish, dreamy feel to the whole wedding.
i just wished babli for once came down and bless ed the children herself

dadi and madhu ka sulking face i didn't mind lol but what i absolutely couldn't stand was pralhaad and his behavior towards the pants he is a LOSER hello your daughter is marrying in this family atleast show your high class etiquette for once. i just wanted to slap him hard esp when ramraj so courteously tried to hug him as in like forget everything let's hug he just pushed him back so rudely zamane ke liye hi thoda natak kar lo and if not that then for your daughter.i am sorry but he's no lesser than yograj for me. jaya meera scene was awww. the grah pravesh drama was expected couldn't enjoy it too much caz have seen the whole thing in BTS so it was ruined for me but i liked the commentary parts and so excited for precap.

what is a wedding when everything else is there except the happiness of the two people who r getting married? now a days on TV we witness a lot of drama, OTT makeup, heavy dialogues, garish costumes so and so but they miss out the most important thing for a wedding that is the happiness of the bride and groom..sigh!
I agree with u word to word.❤️

from the time Meera entered surprising Abhishek-Bubbly to the time Meera's "bidaayi", every scene touched me this much that I didnt even realize when tears started streaming down my face..was it bcz of the beautifully executed scenes or just the simplicity of them or the pain of losing such show made me emotional I dont know..I just got teary eyed without my knowledge.

the look Abhishek had when Meera walked up to the mandap was breath-taking! he had that mesmerizing expression along with the gratitude of watching her fulfilling his mother's wish..❤️
he couldnt take his eyes off from his bride who was looking ethereal as ever! he kept watching her till she stood right before him❤️ such simple outfit and makeup but she had that million dollar smile on her face which adorned her like anything! that smile made her the most beautiful bride.❤️ Meera❤️

the chunri over her head, then lights going off, Mona's entry...cousins' Japanese act, the happiness of Meera's mother watching them, yes u r right! even Amma and Madhu couldnt avoid smiling..this was such natural...all thanks to the director..the little nuances they had..how Rohan fumbled Meera didi to Meera bhabhi..how Abhishek asked Meera what to call papa or dad..these little things were so realistic!! I felt as if this wedding is happening in my house or I am right there watching it live..someone from my family getting married.

Jaya's happy tears and worries for Meera..as if she is really getting her daughter married..her acting was so so good!!👏👏👏 Meera's grin to Abhishek when her papa put his hand over theirs..all were so in character❤️ how simply yet amazingly the shaadi was done.
Jaya and Prahlads' advises to Meera and then Abhishek promising Papa Raizada...❤️

Meera's fumble in grihpravesh😆😆 I loved how Abhishek asked if he could help Meera in fixing her saari and then Anita coming up and fixing it..these happen in all weddings..it looked so real!❤️

precap: so it seems Abhishek got Meera wake up early morning but she dozed off again in Mona-Rohan's room😆😆

This show has so much to offer...they r trying more than their best to please us...such injustice just done to them!! how can someone do this to a show like BBKD?? how?

Kitne pyaar se maine post banaya tha, complete with the caps etc and somehow while posting it, the form got cleared! :( so frustrating. Anyways, the episode deserves yet another attempt from me...Although I don't know if I will do justice to the beauty that the episode was even in my second attempt...

Normally I have a lot of problems in choosing the best expression pic of PJ/Abhi as he looks at Meera...coz pata nahi kaise kar leta hai, but the guy has a different expression in literally EVERY single frame...and this time was no exception, but phir bhi I have a winner-

There are sooo many emotions in this one look he's given her...there is astonishment coupled with a feeling of "is this for real?" Coz just hours ago in story timeline he'd resigned himself to get married to Radhika 😆 and to now have his dream fulfilled in this manner...if Abhi helped Meera get her DDLJ moment in her love story, Meera helped him believe in miracles and the fact that not every person close to him will leave him forever 🤗 and then ofcourse there is this feeling of gratitude for her having respected his mother's wishes...

And how do I even begin to describe the beauty of the actual wedding...never before have I seen two people so absolutely happy and thrilled to just get married to each other...despite (or maybe because of) the time constraints whatever they pulled off here "seedha dil ko chuu gaya" as PJ had once said about the show. And in a way I am glad about this..and I feel, even IF they had an extension till 100 episodes or so they would have still retained the simplicity of the wedding...they spent money on just the right things - like that beautiful combo of curtains around the gazebo- yellow, pink, purple etc...the whole set-up with japanese destination wedding as Meera's dad wanted it to be...but apne aap mein Meera-Abhi were dressed so simplistically and minimally and the whole effort went into how it can be narrated well...ahh, I dunno I am at a loss for words here. So mermerizing it all was...

And I just LOVED the fact that the direction/narrative focussed on Abhi-Meera's immense happiness to finally get married...because that was the crux of it all...yes, the show could have been about bade bhaiyya ki dulhania's life, but since they had to end on this note, they made it a memorable love story...and we don't realize their journey until we actually see this happiness emanating from their faces- brilliant, brilliant acting by PJ and ND and so wonderfully captured by camera waale bhaiyya...

The poignancy of the whole Japanese destination wedding was something else altogether...matlab even Prahlad melted and for a minute or two, dadi and madhu chachi smiled and forgot about the differences and just revelled in the joy of the two people and the crazy baccha party who dotes on them.. ramraj pulling kapil's cheeks was ultra adorable...its things like this that actually signify how character driven this show is...there was drama before and after, but during the wedding everyone was just SO involved as someone here pointed out... be it Prahlad during kanyadaan, Abhi so cutely transitioning betn papa/uncle...or Jaya crying and Meera consoling her, Prahlad's worry that she should do well, despite him not considering the people worthy enough (lol, he is still behaving like a pompous ass, but then so is dadi)...all these touches were so real and so simplistic, yet they elevated the moments to another level altogether.

And this is the most cherished cap of the entire post for me...Anu, pls try and gif this bit too-

She is looking so so radiant here and positively glowing in happiness- and it's so palpable! 🤗 Meera is hands down the prettiest bride on indian telly. Period.

Then ofcourse, the sheer comfort level, like you pointed out...inspite of the fact that technically they have just come together:

I think it's a combination of brilliant writing, the fact that they invested a LOT of time and efforts in building up a believable close friendship between Abhi-Meera...and just in general the approach of these two characters towards each other. Normally shows mein kya hota hai, they focus more on the fact about how the characters are AFFECTED by one another and that emotion is constantly battling with the comfort level that these two characters have with each other...so while that might make for an intriguing love story, per say...yahan pe the focus was more on how unabashedly comfortable and confident the characters felt with each other, right from day one- mere liye the best example of this is when Abhi comes into her room and is instantly shocked by the state of her room despite being so smitten by her- his very ability to be so calm and composed despite knowing he loves her sets him apart from other MLs for me...and even for her, so confidently she gatecrashed the wedding and the so easily accepted her love for him..there was and never will be any pretense with these two characters, sab kuch ekdum transperent hai...so kuch intrigue factor nahi tha (also probably the reason why mass audience couldn't find an attraction towards the show)... instead there was always an underlying comfort level from the word go... and ofcourse the major part of it came from PJ and ND ki growing organic camaraderie, which gave the feeling of Abhi-Meera already being together when they were actually not 😆 and hence now the feeling that they have been together for ages. 😳

I think I will never tire of saying that the team does a wonderful job, but today even that praise isnt enough...heck, even a standing ovation isn't enough...I think I will end by saying that- there are telly weddings and then there is an Abhi-Meera wedding...it won't be...can't be...recreated. I will remember this beautiful wedding for a long, long time... also, the show has set the bar for a slice-of-life show SO incredibly high now, I don't think I will fall in love with anything similiar anytime soon!

such a beautiful post yaar
@GREEN-that scene was so well shot.loved it
I loved it to bits
Why audience couldn't connect with the show is the reason that audiences are used to shitty content with senseless comedy and hawwt scenes
@bold-the best line.BBKD and abhi-meera has set the bar so high that all other tv shows seems like crap in front of them.Heck,it can give takkar to English tv series also.

Yesss.. This has to be the most beautiful wedding I've seen ...hand down!! Focused more on the emotions than the grandeur of the settings. I'm not averse to rituals etc .. But I do not like dwelling on it too much. So this was just perfect.. They showed the kanyadaan..what more is important than that.
Bacha party all excited, jaya in tears everyone's emotion so well captured. No random panning and zooming showing how well the place is designed but focusing on emotions. Background just becomes that.. Background!!! The joy is watching these people, ...settings, dress tho just add to the happiness around!!! That's always been the usp of this show. Arre poori shaadi Pant bhavan mein hi khatam ho gayee.. No one is complaining..😆
Why should we.:-)
@attn to detail- word on kapil ramraj bit. Lol. N also during phera jaya nudging prahalad to throw the flowers.

You know beech mein there were no dialogues for 3-4 min only Mona's Japanese line...n then again no dialogues. Don't know how this show manages to bowl us over.. sometimes with beautiful conversations n then scenes like this were no conversation is required.

Sab NE bahut pyaar SE banaya hai bbkd ko.. Everyone.. Camera, writers, editors of course the actors.. It just shows on screen. I may be biased towards bbkd. But sach mein woh pyaar dikta hai.. Like it's your baby n you'll do anything for it.. Specially the last ten days wale epis .

PJ n ND require another post!!! They are special.. Very very special

PJ is such a fine actor. Such range of emotions. Like mads said .. Frame wise you can see the change. 👏
In the beginning when he sees Meera. First he hardly to see her.. Then looks down at her dress.. Realizes it's his mother's,.. Happiness.. Looks at babli.. N then the pride.. Oh this is actually happening look.. Mesmerised by her.. Look before avni n Anita pull him towards the mandap.. Looking back just to confirm that is not his dream.. Fabulous.fabulous expression by PJ.
I took so much time writing it down.. It just took him seconds to emote..

Meera/ND - is like joy personified. That smile is infectious. I was smiling throughout coz she was. Her joy during the Japan theme.. No the ENTIRE time.. Was aww..

Anu - you were right.. Something about them together.. Vibe as they like to call it.. Lol... Adds that extra bit to the scene.
inseparable hi ache hai😆
