What do I love about BBKd--- hmmm I guess almost everything!!

Story

Seemingly run on the mill story but the gem that needs special glasses of simplicity to understand it. We have become so caught up in fast paced web that we have forgotten to cherish simple things . BBKD gave me just that. I cherished a simple thing as a wall being built by the entire family, I cherish all of them doting on Abhishek after the jungle scene, I cherished the mom n son bond.

It had no big issues to be resolved, big political/social issues to address, no fanfare , no huge sets, no marriages that goes on for weeks but it had conversation between leads, conversation between the other characters, conversations that had deep insights.

It was never like come on we'll take up thi issue like status difference, differently abled kids, sifarish dowry or a simple one like brother stealing money and show the ML or the FL resolve it...but they did take some "issues" but resolved it like any of us will do. eg: Meera handling Rohan It was never made out to be come on we'll address autism n we'll show how to handle differently abled kids... but it was shown nevertheless in subtle manner. Not Preachy.

Plus Unlike other series where only the ML and FL end up "'resolving" all the problems. Like Chota Bheem🀣.The other leads were also shown playing important role. like chacha-abhi scene or Babli- kapil scene. Every character was well sketched.

I've not seen many series but I've seen various genres ranging from "intaanse " romance to "youth shows" but I guess this is the kind of show I would want to come back to. Simple, unassuming, ordinary yet layered, real and not so ordinary after all.

Fabulous Camera work- jitna bolun kum hai. yes it had its bad days but 98% of the times it has been superlative. mussoorie scene, the soft yellow lighting. I havent seen sunlight being used so wonderfully as it was in the initial episodes.

Dialogues - quirky humour ( not radhikas ofcourse), not preachy but normal conversations with deep insights.

BG score- I dont think I have noticed bg score of any series before this one. It stood out. I usually zone out on the bg score coz most of them use the same tune over and over again. sad ke liye same tune thoda sad, happy ke liye same tune thoda peppy. But this one actually had differnt tunes over various episodes. The song be ❀️

Outstanding cast - every single person was so well cast.( I dont consider yogass as part of this show πŸ˜†) never seen this before. they looked like a family, behaved like one. Glad they got along off screen too. PJ n ND are special !!!!!

Perfect blend of drama, comedy, love, music.

Above all ,for me, it was like receiving a hand written letter in the times of facebook, insta and twitter . It was the home cooked dal roti food amidst the restaurant wale food. tasty tho hai par ghar ki khusboo nahi. curd rice for a TamBramh, rajma chawal , makkai ki roti sarson ka saag for people up north πŸ˜†. ( i think i should stop the food reference) .
SImple but never underestimate its importance.
It was a calm balm for my soul. simple sweet heart warming.

Oh!!! How did I forget
The set- the gazebo, Abhishek's room, the oil stains on the kitchen, wall with everyone's photos, the swastik at the entrance door.

And the costume / stylist - every single cast had the apt dress make up, hair style ... be it madu chachi, Meera's mom, saloni, avni, anita ..EVERYONE.

They ( the show) excelled in almost every department!!!
