Meera, Meera..I will talk about her later when the show ends. But for now, i can tell.she is someone who observes, it registers in her head better than us. She always had this moment of clarity where she saw thing beyond what the conventional. Like , the one I can recollect would be when they mistook her as the bride and were fighting , she actually sorted their argument with a very simple, clear observation. Also, if you remember another incident while she is making kheer and runs to sort the makeup drama of cousins, she keeps on blabbering astute observation about them even in the kitchen which stung Madhu Chachi. it was truth. So Meera was registering her moments with Abhishek..the closeness, intimacy ..the way he would look at her but she never had that "Aha" moment..because she is Meera..if she would know what she wants just like that toh woh meera nahi hai. She is smart girl, while recalling she could understand his words, emotions and his essence in a much broader perspective. It's like she could rewind and "be" in every of those moments she shared with Abhi but this time in touch with her emotions.

Word about Meera...she has this ability to float outside her own being and observe stuff...make really astute observations or insightful commentary...but all of this strangely happens on a subconscious or ADD level for her...she can both deeply see and forget something in the same instant😆...

She actually lives in that "moment" wala phase.

I feel a lot of it comes from ND too..she is like that chilled, trying to enjoy that moment. Vibe hai.

So in the case of Abhi...she was seeing...actually more like experiencing everything for a while now but not really fully processing it...thanks to various personality traits and situations...

Ignoring. I think she numbs feelings or things which touch her heart. Neglected baccha and lonely baccha hai..who would never express herself well to parents, teachers and took to numbing and fluttering to next moment to retain sanity. I think she is very sensitive and she protects herself from heartbreak. I so wish we could see her post shaadi more..there was actually lot more to her

That is why the confession had a feeling of reassurance about it...like coming home...for the otherwise ever so aimless Meera was finally sure of what she wants in life...and that "thing" was Abhi😆...uske baad there was no turning back for her.

Her missing piece fit na..she was home, happy and for once "confident". She knew what she wanted..a girl who never knew what she wanted, realized her happiness and that "home" is with Abhi..actually entire Pant family.

Re: Meera...yeah she's kinda like Dory that way...in the moment memory...lol...but jokes apart, yes she is a very sensitive and emotional little thing otherwise but strives to insulate herself from a lot of things because of how she tends to get affected...given that she's spent most of her life trying to get her family to understand her and has mostly failed on that front, the only way for her to keep functioning has been to take the light road, not dwell on stuff for long.

I really really wish they had gotten the extension but then I am also scared because by this they have made Meera especially kinda immortal ..tough hota for her.

That is why that feeling of the missing piece finally fitting in the puzzle for her was so heartwarming to watch...yes a lot of it is all ND...she brings this to Meera...but even then you just feel so happy for this character...who was so self-deprecating about how she couldn't figure out what she wanted...to watch her SEIZE the moment and HOW...haha just awesome it was.

Blue- That is why i fell for her..and she is beyond writing. You know her challenges in comprehension but then you see this child who has been disheartened by failures to reach out and grab something she wants and she knows about. Underdog story hai. You cannot help but cheer for her and laugh with her in her happiness.

I was watching another BTS where ND was talking about how she loved how non-stereotypical the confession was wherein they got to show the girl proposing to the guy in such a bindaas manner...lol ND was like that is what I'd do in real life also, I wouldn't hesitate to propose to a guy😆

ND is meera in many ways..I think she took Meera beyond. PJ by craft be better actor, ND made Meera though , writing thi but to me it's mostly how she was able to ensure and retain that spirit of Meera which comes because of ND.

Yeah it's a double edged sword always, isn't it? An extension till atleast 70-80 epis would have given them time to round off more storylines and well just given us some more time with these unique characters, more memories to cherish...on the flip side, they could have messed them up too...lol

This way, yes Meera has been immortalized...we will remember her with fondness rather than as a complete mess...ditto for Abhi too...sometimes it's better to be immortalized in a timely fashion than become deconstucted into pedestrian stuff in the inevitable TRP race.

PJ by craft be better actor, ND made Meera though , writing thi but to me it's mostly how she was able to ensure and retain that spirit of Meera which comes because of ND. Yes, PJ is more by the book as an actor, if you will...more honed at this point than ND is...but ND brings a tremendous bounce to her performance with her spontaneity, her sincere attempts to bring a genuine read to the scenes...

Meera is definitely the true underdog story of this tale...Abhi had his own challenges and own endearing ways of navigating through those...but the highest point will deffo be this one where Meera seized the day in the most brilliant fashion...it was an important win not just for her character but Indian TV in general which rarely gets this balance of bindaas and poignancy just so right, especially for a female character.
