.

ahh, I get the frustration now. Well, yes...in that sense, it was quite a depressing episode. For your sake, I hope it turns around soon 😳. I'm more upset with an episode that lacks sufficient content or a general flow of the storyline and/or involves complete butchering of Abhi/Meera characters (can ignore a few hiccups here and there, have watched tooo many desi shows to expect absolute flawless characterization 😆). Mostly, show me a solid interaction of them with other characters or with each other and I am good to go with any episode. 😆 Because that is what this show had promised me from the beginning. This depressing turn of events that you are talking about, was also once before during the whole wall breaking thing and Ramraj ki harkatein. But I would still prefer these kind of epis over the disaster that was Rohan birthday week etc. That remains to be still the lowest hour of this show, in my opinion. Yaar, Abhi kahan passive tha? He toh was genuinely convincing Meera to go and settle in Delhi, or do you mean passive as in not assertive enough to talk about his thoughts wrt Aman?

Abhi was trying to tell her that maybe Aman had good intention and is doing all this for Meeras happiness😕 He does not even stop there and argues about Delhi/Devpur to solidify his point. He could have just said I am not sure or maybe something like you can talk to Aman.

As far as the storyline goes they botch it from all angles like they did the first time around. Yogi knows how much Abhi loves Meera yet is shown so happy that his marriage is fixed to Radhika and infact they are boasting about how he has helped in fixing Abhis marriage😕 That right over there should make Abhi wonder about Yogi. But he is busy feeling happy that his dad and brothers have patched up.

Sorry for the rant:(

@spidie...I get your frustration about the storyline. Will try to explain why I think it's still fine-

About Abhi not telling Meera how much he hates the guy- but that's never Abhi, he will never let his personal prejudice about something affect other people's lives, especially Meera...and this is after he almost accidentally begins to infact tell her that she shouldn't marry Aman, but remembers his promise to her dad and then resigns himself to telling her other practical reasons why she should be marrying Aman, WITHOUT saying that Aman-Meera are perfect for each other. Also, as soon as Meera places her trust, he again decides to tell her what he honestly thinks but Amma interrupts them- had she not, he would have. And in the precap we see that he tells Meera's mom to tell Meera the truth, failing which he will have to. So he is doing the best he can within the circumstances to make sure his point reaches Meera, what more the guy can do I honestly don't know 😕 seems like the appreciation of his intention to tell Meera is being heavily overpowered by a judgement about why he actually didn't tell her himself. I think the guy deserves a little break.

Regarding yogi knowing about Meera and still fixing the rishta with Radhika- well, Abhi keeps on telling all of them that him and Meera be a lost cause, so ofcourse he assumes that his dad has given up on that thought, just as he attempts to make babli stop hoping about Meera. Also, considering how selfish and ruthless Yogi is you can hardly expect him to be that considerate about Abhi's feelings or Meera's for that matter...all he cares about is that the shaadi happens for his twisted plans.

@bold: Exactly what I was trying to say too.

Anyways, might as well get into Abhi mode now..."Aap log bataa do aap kya sunna chaahte ho, main wohi bol dungi"😆

Abhi kiya nahin hai...woh kal karega lagta hai.

But today was a better balance...he stopped being AS majboor...Aman ko thoda silent tashan bhi dikhaa diya and scared that asshole away...nice touch😆

I really don't get why they have to show a daughter's parents as so majboor...quite tragic that even people from such well educated, well established families have to act so majboor when it comes to marrying off their daughters😕.

I liked the Abhi-Meera's mom scene otherwise...after many days, PJ got to play on some nuance and pauses in that scene.

Meera seems more upset about the dahej issue than the fact that Aman treats her like crap...cool😆

Her mother is busy sobbing like a dukhiyaari, her sister is self-absorbed and her dad is busy threatening Abhi with insinuations of him trying to bhatkaao his daughter...wonderful family all in all😆

Fast track shaadi mode in the show...ek hi din mein mehendi + sangeet...lol

I guess they want to hide the date of Abhi's shaadi from Meera so they can set up a dramatic return for her character...IF she even manages to leave Devpur, that is.

Also, just wondering why Meera needs someone to TELL her that Aman isn't right for her...is she just looking for validation at this point? Can't she think for herself?

She's oh so confident meddling into other people's business, telling them what to do...then what happens in her own case? Her vagueness on the Aman issue is getting into muddled territory right now from a storyline execution point of view.

@bold: exactly my first thoughts. Lol, lagta hain they want to highlight the reality of our hypocritical society. If that has been their intention then it has worked perfectly 😆 Itne educated log, phir bhi beti ki khushi ke liye kuch bhi karenge, even when said daughter tells them they don't have to...how ridiculous! aur yeh log are technically responsible for implementing desh ke laws 👏 chalo, atleast they are kuch dino ke mehmaan if the new segment is anything to go by. Their whole IAS thing and being so majboor doesn't sit well with me..even Pants, being in a much lower position are much more active and get what they want...lol. And looks like riya got her meekness from her mom.

Today is my day of getting irritated, not enough thehraav given to emotions I felt them rushed. Too fast a pace for me, lol...but Abhi ka silent tashan to Aman and his talk with Meera's mon was nicely done. Abhi-Meera scene had continuity too, but random him feeding her water does nothing to make me happy if they wouldn't have had dialogues.

Don't know if I should be hoping much from tomorrow's epi. It's a deciding factor for a lot of things- no wonder Namita was so excited about this drama 😆

LOL Mads, I've moved on from irritation and back to indifference mode now...lol

Wasn't all of this looking nicer in the BTS segments than what it actually turned out to be? Maybe I should start avoiding BTSs again...lol

But even then, like you said, the pace is going a little too fast without enough space for the emotions to linger, be felt...usually shaadi episodes are primed for high drama, emotions everything...but here I'm just getting a jaded, tired feeling from it all...lol they really need to get it over with cuz kisi cheez ka punch/impact khaas feel nahin ho raha.

*Edit: oh and same here...I'm not keeping any expectations from the precap until I see how the actual scene is executed...it's their chance to pack a punch if they do it properly...otherwise isi pace pe chalte rahein...lol

Namita's excitement seems anti-climactic...so far nothing in this week has really been exciting😕😆

@Anu...definitely need to stop watching BTSes before 😆...I'm realizing this now.

And exactly, so much taam jhaam for such a short while? This show is toh now at the other extreme 😆...they could have had a much more poignant moment with the Raizadas actually discussing in a civil manner with their daughter-their condescending manner bugs me like anything. It seems as though they just want to dish out storylines and make the story run...lol, aur don't forget, they also had yogi moment in betn jahan woh pant bhavan home stau girvi rakhna finalize karta hai and rohan rushing out to meet his bade bhaiyya and tell him about al this...lol.

I feel, they should have handled one storyline after another, toh the impact of every single one of them could be felt nicely. What is this rush to have abhishek married so fast and meera realizing her feelings AND yogi ki entry all at the same time? Honestly, what did yogi entry do for anything at this point in time? Chalo, even if he did push for marriage how did that help Abhi-Meera storyline as well? Pants toh were already prejudiced against Meera with or without Radhika...atleast without Radhika we could have seen Pants ke contrasting emotions with regards to Meera and her growing on them. They could have had yogi ki entry after Abhi-Meera shaadi too, would have worked even better then. Lol, but anyway, I guess I should stop thinking of what could have and concentrate on what is 😆.

Let's see what tomorrow's epi brings, Meera should break it off, bas.
