Mads- I still feel it's ND and because Meera is a good baccha that makes it endearing. They haven't made her back story solid.Struggle hai but I can ignore as long as they let Abhi-Meera have scenes.

@AY- Namaste

Pranaam, Genie BaalikeπŸ˜›

I concur with Mads...Meera's role isn't entirely shitty on paper either despite the many inconsistencies...but Namita for sure helps smooth over those inconsistencies with her free spirit bindaas charm many times.

Yes, i adoreee mukta barve...she is a fantabulous actress- hugee girl crush on her also, her chemistry with swapnil is magical...i love them together- my fav be this movie and their tv show- eka lagnachi dusari goshta 😳 watch that too, if you understand marathi...and if you haven't already. It's one of my fav tv shows...! 😳

I too loved her in Eka lagnachi Dusari Goshta. Liked her n Swapnil's chemistry in it. Is the movie any good? And can you recommend any other good Marathi show recently. Its a while I have watched one.

@spidie...dude, mumbai-pune-mumbai part 1 is really, really good...actually ELDG uske baad hi aaya coz that movie was the first time these two were paired against each other.

But the sequel of the movie was sooo bad, only swapnil-mukta were endearing to watch.

Edited: As for other shows, nope, not watching any currently...not enough pull. ELDG was the last one i followed religiously 😳 i could recommend one very old show if you haven't watched it already- asambhav. The concept is intriguing and all drama aside, for the most part the execution is good.

Thanks for the recommndaion. I will watch the movie then. I have watched Asambhav and Vaadalwaat. After that the quality of Marathi shows went down drastically so stopped watching.

Since we are on the topic of ELDG anyway:

Love the lyrics 😳 so apt and poignant for the situation they were in.

Now maybe we should take this discussion ahead over PM and let this thread remain for abhi-meera 😳

Re: acting...hmmm Kunal has more charisma as an actor, I feel...an unconventional charm...while PJ is what I would call a solid actor...utterly dependable in terms of nailing a scene...that said, I find an indescribably interesting quality about his acting too...

What's probably similar b/w them is the immense HONESTY they bring to their acting...extremely sincere actors they both seem like.

It's been a sea change for PJ from his previous role...I still marvel at the fact that this is the same guy from that Titu wala roleπŸ˜†...very hard to believe...it's testament to his talent that he is able to bring such RESTRAINT to his otherwise high energy body language...that is why I'm impressed with his acting as Abhi.

the amount of srkgiri in that titu show is making me barf yes i am watching it only for PJ Boy it's too much of singing and dancing and they play tujhe dekha toh yeh jaana sanam every freakign sec on their romantic scenes and God it made em hate the song lmao but he's so endearing as titu such a useless chap his lazypan baffles me at time but it's hilarious most of the time so am watching only for titu & the excuses his mother comes up with for hsi lazypan. and the daddy is hilarious too. but him and that panchi girl have 0 chemistry and their scenes are really too much

p.s am not marathi or even indian but watched interested in regional cinema and it was my 2nd marathi movie

LOLL@ the SRK-giri...seems like that is where PJ gets his SRK fever from...abhi bhi Titu show ka hangover chal raha haiπŸ˜†...yeah they overloaded all the DDLJ references in that show and playing all the classic SRK songs on that pair just didn't work cuz the story/"romance" was so cheesy. And yeah I didn't see any chemistry there b/w him and the Panchi girl.

He was funny in his own way as Titu but his HAIR, man...kya tha wohπŸ˜†...Thank god he looks so much better as Abhishek. His mom was weird...all the names she had for him..."Titua" πŸ˜•πŸ˜†...I liked how the dad would blast him for his laziness...anyways I only watched a few epis, uske baad time nahin lagaa, got busy keeping up with BBKD.

Feel like BBKD suits PJ's acting style far better as an overall production too...that Titu show was just so LOUD, man.

Oh and I loved Sairat too...first Marathi movie I've watched but loooved the music, cinematography...the movie had a very raw, impactful quality ot it...the lead pair acted quite naturally.
