The one emotion that stood out of the episode for me was a tender pulling of my heartstrings for Abhi...sigh the guy is falling deeper and deeper, he knows it, loves it coz it's his first, is resigned towards the fact that her rishta is somewhere else, yet, cannot help but hope a little- until that dream is slightly broken today, with meera pushing him towards marriage...don't think he genuinely believes her funda, it is more like he has now realized how complicated it might be betwn the two of them with his fight, the whole family watching on, pant bhavan homestay ki reputation on line etc etc, all this has probably culminated in this decision. Plus, if Meera is so adamant that he cannot like her, how can he even begin to get through to her about this? Still, it's interesting how his thoughts (till now) have never once gotten to class, status etc...coz for him, it's just Meera- his failure pahad. The bits in the bedroom where Abhi is smelling his shirt, searching for the remnants of her scent was heartbreakingly beautiful...sigh

And i just cannot get angry at meera, no matter how clueless or oblivious she seems. Be it Namita's acting or something else, i just tend to accept her the way she is...she was always gonna be a plot device, sadly...infact initial epis mein (1-6) I couldn't even like her so much- but now she is soo endearing to me that i can look beyond all and every of her flaws (be it in writing or otherwise).. .he shaadi funda is disturbing, but her tiny scene with riya explains the thought process behind that... where riya scolds her accusing her to think of others atleast sometimes and momentarily meera is upset and angry with riya coz she knows she is doing it ONLY for her family...and first time i saw her getting genuinely angry at her family btw- it was a tiny moment, don't know if it was deliberate or just a random quirk to her character but it was visible...until now the only emotions with regards to her family be guilt tripping about hurting them...but then, as soon as riya starts tickling her she forgets all her anger -you see, uske liye all emotions are linked to family only, in this aspect both of them are similar, only Abhi is the star of his family while meera is the blacksheep of hers. For me, anything she does until now can be justified by this thought process- a girl who has been made to believe that she is absolutely worthless in comparison to her successful elder sister since a very young age, imagine uski mentality pe kya asar hoga...so if there is one thing that is assured to make her family happy about her, she will plunge head-on in it...aise mein, it is upto family to realise where she is going wrong, to assure her that if she isn't happy they won't be too..abt riya,i said this in cinderella waala epi thread too, her being an IAS and yet appearing so meek in front of the guys at the party is highly disturbing...makes me wonder if she too, became an IAS just to not disappoint her parents? Her servile nature towards sanjay, luckily for her sanjay is a decent and kind-hearted guy, but Aman isn't... Hope this drunken incident makes her realize this and she stops forcing Meera ..

@Anu and Genie: WORD abt them giving barfi waale innocent vibes...and "kyon" song is what i think of them too, had this feeling since long- half a mind to make a VM on that,if only time permits...sigh. The reason is that Meera has remained positive despite it all, just like Abhi hasn't turned into an angsty person despite having so much stress about family...this is exactly why these two are so endearing and have that naivety to them- they had reasons to turn out worse, but they didn't, coz of their inherent good nature. They genuinely adore and respect each other the way they are: for abhi, meera is someone jiske saath mein he has no responsibility to be perfect, he can be goofy and make mistakes, for meera: abhi is someone who genuinely, with his warmth, brings out the deeply buried self-respect within her.

Meera does live in her own world, it's interesting because normally such ppl are selfish, but meera just appears to have alag funde in life...and somehow, Abhi gets them all. Also, Rohan was right all along, him and Meera are similar, both highly misunderstood and having an inherently different (I refrain from using the word abnormal here) human behavior and characteristics..which is WHY i wanted some more Abhi-Rohan-Meera, you guys have no idea how much it pains me that we aren't getting it.. :( But I guess, radhika-aman is a more dramatic plot point to propell abhi-meera towards shaadi...and again, the convoluted track making sense only coz of PJ-ND portrayal of Abhi-Meera.

Aman is one creepy guy, but I'm not surprised at his nerve and disgusting behavior, seen many like him...but Abhi, yaar...such restraint during the last scene, he jumped in ONLY when things get out of hand, uske pehle he lets meera handle it..this is what sets him apart again and again from other MLs. And the scene in the bedroom too, with radhika and then at the door, where he convinces her that it's not her fault... So much love and grace he is!

Yogi bear better be negative, there is no way he can be positive with the way they have shown things until now.

I agree, this should be a lesson for Meera, you are right, there is dire need for her raw emotions to come out, it has been bottled up inside her for too long- she covers them up with her usual quirks, but that one moment when she gets angry at riya is holding me strongly and I'm waiting to see how or what breaks this marriage and how she reacts after that.

Soo breathtaking these angles were... seriously, the camerawork is brilliant. It gives you the feeling of watching it all from a distance and not just on a tv screen...the chemistry and underlying attraction (especially from Abhi) so palpable in this one...sigh โค๏ธ

Meera ka funda on Marriage is horrible
when she asked Abhi to get married "Shaadi hi toh hai karlo...ma baap khush hojayenge" ๐Ÿ˜†
gosh, how can be she so casual about marriage? But then its Meera...agar wo casual nhi hogi toh kaun hoga ๐Ÿ˜†

Meera is a confusing, enchanting and intriguing character
sometimes you feel you know and she is so easy going and simple girl to understand but next moment you wonder what actually this girl is
it gets difficult to decipher her and for me that is the beauty of character
You can expect and at the same time unexpect anything and nothing from her ๐Ÿ˜†

That RAdhika girl is ๐Ÿคฃ uske double meaning dialogues "aap utaro mai dekhti hoon" ๐Ÿคฃ Abhi's expression was ๐Ÿคฃ ๐Ÿคฃ

I feel Radhika's angle will make Meera realize her feelings for Abhi
Till now she was the sole owner of Abhi's territory and wen Abhi will start spending tym with Miss OTT and Double Meaning ๐Ÿ˜†(as he will be agreeing to marry her, i am preparing myself to see her and Abhi scene ๐Ÿ˜’) Meera will realize that her territory is in danger and shayad act kare ya phir being Meera na kare ๐Ÿค” ๐Ÿค“

Aman ko dekh kar mere mann mai ek hi khayal aata hai "push him off the cliff" and now i feel like he should be thrown thrice ...that's how irritating he is ๐Ÿ˜ก

Today's episode brought back some of my thoughts and feelings that I had about this show during its initial week. I had forgotten just how annoying Pant seniors can be. Before going into that, let me just mention the things I loved about the episode. Everything Abhishek!

I am constantly in awe of him. He is such a dignified, graceful (?), articulate and compassionate person. Even while dealing with a cheapo like Radhika, he was so patient. He chose his words carefully, delivered them with restraint so as to not be disrespectful towards her although the woman did nothing to earn this sort of deferential treatment.

Anyway, at this point its sort of a given to expect good Abhi-Meera scenes. These two play off each other so well. I love the rapport between them, which allows Abhi to casually hold Meera's hand, be so comfortable in each others presence and actually maintain eye-contact for a long time without feeling awkward about it. Seriously, its quite difficult to look people in the eyes for more than say 3 seconds๐Ÿ˜†. As you guys have already mentioned the camera work and the direction in that scene was excellent. Btw, I am totally in love with Abhi's (PJ's) voice โค๏ธ.

I am a little disappointed with Meera today. Even after Abhi telling her that he is not interested in getting married to Radhika, she went on to assume that Radhika is the one Abhi is in love with. Like, hain?!! How did she make that connection? If she was casually teasing him, that did not sit well with me because it was followed by her argument in favour of marrying Radhika because she is "special" and family ke khushi ke liye.

Meera has done a lot for Abhi, there is no denying that. But sometimes when she talks to him it is disheartening to see that she does not even make any attempt to understand Abhi's situation or his POV. She projects her feelings on Abhi, simply failing to understand that different people have different needs, expectations, etc. Her obsession with Yogi is also a reflection of her bond with her father. She wants to fix hers, and she is trying to 'fix' Abhi's without understanding that Abhi's issues with his father isn't the same as her issue with her dad. Bas, end mein everyone has to be happy...aur kya chahiye?

Her marriage funda is all about 'choti choti khushiyan'. She is not even thinking long-term. So her marriage will make her family happy, then what? She is so transient that she cannot even comprehend the fact that she has to live with a guy like Aman. She probably expects to come up with some other funda to stay happy in a marriage, Anyway, I am thinking way ahead of myself...something Meera is clearly incapable of๐Ÿ˜†. Oh Meera!

Coming to Pant seniors, I am appalled how after rejecting a number of girls they are fine with Radhika. If Radhika was a decent person, I would have understood the family members being okay with her if not elated to have her as Abhi's potential wife...but this obnoxious women, seriously? I wonder what purpose Radhika's cheap antics serve in the story. She could have been unlikable but decent, but Radhika...ewww. I get why Abhi might agree to get married, although I do not consider it to be a good enough reason. He might just do that to avoid complications in all fronts of his life (personal and professional), but agreeing to marry Radhika. Really?

Finally, I really hope after seeing this side of Aman, Rhea doesn't badger Meera about getting married to him or being "proper" for him. She cannot just blame it on Abhi, or they cannot just blame it on alcohol. Rhea's actions till this point is still understandable going by what she said today...but after all this, if she still tries to actively make Meera-Aman work, it will be like throwing your sister under the bus.

Day by day, abhishek's Character is shining out ans PJ is doing complete justice to his character. what i like the most about the character of abhishek is his restrained emotions and subtleness.
The first scene where abhishek was smelling his shirt for feeling the scent of meera was too endearing. It shows how much he values his moments with meera. he just wants to capture all the moments and live with those moments forever.

Abhishek's behavior with Radhika shows what a gentleman he is. Even though he was creeped out by radhika,he maintained the dignity.

Meera-Rhea scene was good. All this pressure to marry Aman and behaving with him is now getting on Meera's nerves.I hope so one day she says her parents,"enough now.i can't do it anymore".

Meera-Rhea bonding is cute.don't know if i am the only one who thinks like this bt Rhea doea cares for her sister and wants her to be happy and thinks that she wl be happy with Aman.
The main problem with Meera's family is that they do love her and wants her to be happy bt they don't understand where her happiness lies.In the second episode, Meera's father tells Meera to meet Aman and decide if she wants to marry her.Meera's mother tried talking with Meera twice about her alliance with Aman and if she is happy or not.
Rhea is always hell worried for Meera.
although all of them care for meera,bt no one is able to get through her.
there is a communication gap between them and Meera because of their busy lives and Meera's quirky, wacky and oblivious nature.
in episode number 2,Meera's father was saying,"tum kya bolti ho kya karti ho.ye hamare samajh me bilkul nahi aata".

Meera as I have said is one of a kind, lives in her own world, oblivious of the repercussions of her action, oblivious to grave feelings of people around her.she just wants to do "chillasana".๐Ÿ˜†
Her dialogue today,"shaadi hi toh hai.kar lo.mummy papa ke khushi ke liye karna hai toh karlo.wo khush toh tum khush" shows that she doesn't understand the depth and importance of marriage, she is going into.she is thinking of marriage as one of her 6 month courses.I really hope Abhishek or Sanjay make her realize the importance of marriage.

Isn't it strange that meera who instantly caught abhishek is in love isn't able to know the girl is she herself?. This adds up to her low self-esteem. she finds herself unworthy of any love coz she thinks herself as a failure.

The scene on the round chair was nice.Abhi initially was happy when Meera wanted to know who who the girl is. bt later when Meera went on as to why abhishek should marry Radhika,he was completely sad and lost all hopes.Maybe that is the reason he said yes to marriage.

The guy who plays Aman can't act.he was looking like a mentally challenged person rather than a drunk person today.
The scene where Aman's friends made fun of babli disgusted me to no end๐Ÿคข.more than Aman,I wish Abhishek would have punched that two leechers for making fun of her mom

meera such a kid I liking her innocence and her antics and more liking abhi for everything of his role ..

this duo were the super cute in their scenes can't stop to smile ...

this days even kids talk marriage as a serious issue but meera is more than kid talking marriage as a homework or picnic for the sake of parents happiness..it's dam cute or dam dumb I don't know ๐Ÿ˜† but the way they pulling those moments are soo adorable..

meera is such a cutie pie living in her own bubble not knowing anything but her love for yogi uncle really bothers me like usne kiya kia hai meera ke liye that she likes him too much meera baby stay away from that freak & stop worrying for him

about radhika she leaves me speechless each time with her weird harkatein and batein and all i can do is roll my eyes at her and touch my ears going tauba bas . btw is madhu chachi likes her so much why doesn't she let kapil marry that namoona. abhishek ko kyon balli chada rahi hain kapil se shaadi karke bahu bana le na chachi waise bhi she's the only one interested in her.

now i really think given the precap future scenario would be abhi also having his functions along with meera's wedding with aman at the homestay or around the same time and then tada they both marry each other and not the losers. aman & radhika would make a perfect couple ek jaise dono with yogi uncle padhying mantars at the wedding wah kia perfect shadi hogi

and akshir yogi ne apne asli rang dikha hi diye i knew it he's not trustworthy whatsoever

about acting namita is outdoing herself these days and am mighty impressed. PJ is always top notch is till gotta see 1 bad scene from him. in his other show too he excelled always and honestly it's very hard to tell it's the same boy because both the characters are poles apart . ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ totally in aweee๐Ÿ‘ we need more tv actors like him . i am sick of either expressionless poker faced heroes or the ones who are over acting all the time and making u laugh when u r supposed to feel bad for them. the only other actor who is kind of same level as PJ on tv is kunal karan kapoor he was just as fab as mohan in NBTNMKK too

LOL@ the shaadi exchange theory...ho bhi sakta hai...I sense this show heading in the direction of shaadi drama for sure๐Ÿ˜†

Re: acting...hmmm Kunal has more charisma as an actor, I feel...an unconventional charm...while PJ is what I would call a solid actor...utterly dependable in terms of nailing a scene...that said, I find an indescribably interesting quality about his acting too...

What's probably similar b/w them is the immense HONESTY they bring to their acting...extremely sincere actors they both seem like.

It's been a sea change for PJ from his previous role...I still marvel at the fact that this is the same guy from that Titu wala role๐Ÿ˜†...very hard to believe...it's testament to his talent that he is able to bring such RESTRAINT to his otherwise high energy body language...that is why I'm impressed with his acting as Abhi.

Loved how you put that! And oooh pleaseee do make that VM on them! I'd love to make one too but I'm still so behind in catching up on gif-ing and all...between trying to keep up with current episi, threads and all, time milta hi nahin *sigh*

Good point about how Meera doesn't appear selfish despite such strange fundas in life...feel like ND deserves a lot of credit for making Meera's weirdness endearing too๐Ÿ˜†

Word about Abhi's restraint in the last scene...even after getting so upset he didn't totally lose it and go all crazy...that there is this surprising restraint even in his anger is interesting to me. Ahh love and grace...loved how you put that
