I feel like there's not much to add, everyone seems to have contributed their thoughts in a lot of detail. Just some thoughts on today's episode - I really enjoyed seeing a thoroughly irritated Abhishek today. It all started with the speech he gave Yograj yesterday, and you can see how that completely messed him up. I felt like he would have punched Aman right there in the beginning of the episode had Meera not intervened with her whole "someone vomited on the sofa" comment. 😆

I didn't feel sorry for Aman at all in the cafe scene - once he realized what the situation was, he could have taken charge and took care of Meera, but instead he was just standing there not contributing at all whatsoever - the hero had no choice but to save the girl.

Slowly all those feelings and anger that have been pent up in Abhishek are all coming out - looks like Aman's gonna get it from him tomorrow. 😲

Hey thanks so much!

Haha good to know I'm not the only one who didn't feel sorry for Aman yesterday :P...dude was acting like a total loser as usual...he deserved what he got :P

And you're very right about how Abhi was in a bit of a messed up state yesterday and if Meera hadn't intervened, he'd have let Aman have it soon enough...chalo koi nahin...aaj aa jaayega Aman ka number😆

Re: Meera...yeah I'm also waiting to see how they will show things for Meera...thing is, even in a cliched scenario, Meera's "Meera-ness" will stand out to make it somewhat different hopefully😆

Abhishek said this dialogue in the party wala episode when meera steeped out of cab and asked abhishek if she should go
abhishek replied, "meera ji,baag me chahe phool kitne hi ache kyu na khile ho.jhoomte tab hi hai jab thande hawa ka jhonka aata hai. iss party ko bhi aapke jaise thande hawa ki jhonke ki zaroorat hai"
and meera went

Mads- You writing essays annoy me to one level when I can have something else. But I disagree with Meera, she is inconsistent, not just her but the people around her. I used to feel about her like you said, that there is something endearing , there is that but it's not consistent . Nor do i buy the demanding, family ka dukh which is clearly not that well written or have been invested much by the makers compared to Abhi.

I loved the line when she said first , "mein khush rahna chahti hu"..I get it but I don't see her drawing back to it. I also don't think she isn't capable enough to think beyond the point. She did that many times with Aman, to her sister about him , she does that repeatedly many times but then the point is the writers never focus on it but rather go back to ignoring it , transitions is where they loose her many times. Don't even get me started on how wayward the family graph has been for her. I think I get the frustrations of her family from her to as much as I can understand her situation..it's not easy for anyone . Nor do I think it would be for her with Pants without her money/name or even with Abhi ( this is the hazy one). They really do need to spend some time on Meera, just her and her insecurities with her family, bond or anything. This is the same girl who noticed Rohan's situation when he first approached her and touched her hand . She is almost unaware of everything else. That flip flopping is what is annoying.

This girl handled the Pants' interrogation and the way she diffused the tension when the bhabhis started fighting..that basic earnest gyaan and understanding of a situation. A while back she told madhu how her daughter was fighting over a silly lipstick or something..sometimes ..you do notice that she does pick on these things..toh i don't buy the way they turn her off from Yograj, Aman or whatever.

Also, she is for now pretty much cliched too in her way- Sacrificing for family love, marrying suddenly and all gyaani with quirks. What made her endearing for me was this constant balance where they gave her those meaningful dlgs and changed your POV of viewing things. That is what I miss. Meera has stopped bringing that another POv of things which she was doing earlier.

On hazy mirage Abhi has for Meera. Love would grow and it should evolve but I don't think there is love yet. Yes even for Abhi, whatever he feels is his impression of a girl who makes him smile and listens. Bas, abhi wohi hai..not a bad thing but they rarely, once or twice only, has taken them beyond that.

Meeras character is not drawn out in as much detail as Abhi. I think whenever the need will arise they will butcher Meeras character as that what happens in most of the show. Thy need a scape goat.

As far as Meeras family thing is ,she is very much pressured. Its implied in the way they behave. She has dealt with the pressure her entire life and she cannot bear anymore the tag of failure. So the only thing that matters to her is to do something that will make them proud of her. Meeras hurt is not visible to others because of the way she deals with the worst of situations. She normally laughs it off or completely blames herself even when others are in the wrong. Only Abhi sees through that.

Raizadas are good but they have set a mould and Meera does not seem to fit in it. Inspite of all the education they are highly image and status conscious. And thats actually quiet normal.

For me more than Abhi its Meeras pain that is more deeper as no one in her family acknowledges it. They have to love her a she is. She is trying to change herself for them and as you can see it does not work. Thats the stark difference we see in Meera when she is with Abhi she can be herself and when she is with her family she is trying to be a person that they want her to be.

LOLL ofcourse they couldn't recall anything from season 2...who can blame them...I loved this IV...miss them.

The best thing about season 2 was their off screen interviews. I miss them too:( Now I will have to see the interview again😆

Re: Song...yeah I'm hoping they play the full version again too...wonder if Meera will get a female version of the song to describe her feelings...but somehow the male version has become settled in my head...lol

It would be nice to have a female version to show Meeras perspective.

But what is to say she won't have to change for Abhi or Pants? Is she prepared for that ride too. The jostling because living with Pants as a bahu would be an entirely different experience.

I think the hurt is not visible because the makers don't dwell on it..they sometimes give a random scene to show it but thats more for a play-off on Abhi than her. Not like her family won't understand but they never focus much on it for that dynamics. I get the status thing or class thing of Raizadas, it's practical too. CIty born and brought up girl atleast they would look for a guy who earns well and is educated. How would they ever accept Abhi for that matter.

Like you said, they would use her as the scapegoat, just I feel there is no need for a Ridhima, Yogi bear story at this point till you don't give more depth to your FL.

@AYyy - I am just enjoying this debate coz you know me. But this show ain't for that , i get it.

She might have to change for Pants or Abhi par she will do that dil se and not out of any compulsion ... Coz they are the only ppl who would inspire that change in her, not of the kind that she would need to change and "behave", in order to be with Aman and the high class society, but basic balance of her glaring inconsistencies...

Yaar, Mads barring Abhi or maybe his mom, rest of the Pants are annoying too in their own way. But yeah it would be her fixing them in her own way.

I am having a ball here, thanks for indulging me you two.

LOL sounds like Megha ka butchering is still taazaa in your mind😛😆...true, the FL is usually the first to be butchered in a show for the sake of storyline contrivances.

But honestly bolun toh in Meera's case, there isn't much to butcher😆...she is already so inconsistent and all over the place since day one, I don't even know what would count as butchering with her anymore...lol...only thing that can happen is they might make her cliched bahu when she enters the Pant family but I really don't have high expectations from her so I'm good😆

Nobody will be fixing anybody i feel...it will just be about Meera being the right piece in the Pant family puzzle... 😆 sure she might help ramraj mend his ways, yogi uncle-Abhi track etc...but they will evolve together i feel, or rather, I hope... Again, who knows unke mind mein kya hai? 😕 they will surely manage to surprise me both positive and negative..Pants and Meera both have their low and high points, only Abhi be the most sensible of the lot, jisko dekh ke one could heave a sigh of relief.

Glad you are having fun..haha! 😳
