5th Sept: Abhishek's birthday party

This show is an amalgamation of some lovely nuances both on a scene by scene basis and overall characterization, most especially for Abhi and Meera.

Today, Abhishek got cornered into celebrating his b'day in a grand fashion most unexpectedly...and you can see the entire gamut of emotions he goes through...confusion, surprise, awkwardness, reluctance...especially considering the fact that Meera decided to have his b'day party in the middle of her own "kheer test" dinner with Aman ki family...lol...he somehow manages to navigate all that as the cousins crowd around him, wishing him, giving him gifts, encouraging him to cut the cake.

But it is only when Meera steps forward to light the "25" candle on the cake, that Abhishek finally manages to move away from reluctance and a truly happy smile blossoms on his face...I didn't particularly like Meera's styling for this dinner thing...no idea what that "white muffler" thing around her neck is supposed to be...but in this particular scene as she lights the candles, she did look gorgeous...kudos to Mr. Cinematographer...great job👏 ...and Abhi's enchanted/smitten smiles as he looks at Meera win the day anyday😆

They kinda kept carrying on with the candle thing though😆...Abhi kept replaying that bit in his head and apne room mein he is lighting and bujhaaoing the candle by himself again😆...total goner ho gaya yeh toh😆...but credit to PJ that he does all these bits sweetly...Abhi seems to kinda be marveling at himself also about just how smitten he is with Meera😆

And speaking of the cartoon herself...oh Meera Meera Meera...this girl totally does live in her own head...an episode before, she will help Aman in front of his loser friends without any real agenda behind it...I feel like she just likes helping people and taking the blame for stuff...and 90% of the time doesn't think things through...total impulse machine...like this impulse to celebrate Abhi's bday party in the middle of her own rasam thing with her future in-laws...matlab kisi angle se koi logic nahin hai...keeping her general flightiness aside too...does she need a memo to realize that Aman can't stand Abhi?😕😆...and on top of that she thinks Aman ki family will enjoy her celebrating Abhi ka b'day?

She was oh so pleased with herself for this idea and was busy propping up Abhi in front of Aman's family😆...totally oblivious to obvious undercurrents in the room...Abhi only just managed to save her from herself by getting Riya to spin that dumb story about how Meera loves to have parties about random things...sometimes it's like Meera operates on a subconscious impulse regarding Abhi...needing to make him smile, bring joy in his life...while sometimes ...to put it in Meera's lingo...it's like "Yeh maara paapad waale ko"😕😆...koi aage peechhe nahin hai iske fundo ka...kahin se bhi, kuch bhi😆

I wonder if I've missed this crucial piece of info but where and how exactly did Meera become privy to the entire history between Yograj and Abhi? Given how diligently she's thopoing Yograj onto Abhi with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer...I'm wondering if she knows just how Yograj abandoned everyone...and if she knows, does she care? Or is it really as simple for her as "Aww baby aur papa ka reunion kitna cute hoga"😕...not sure if the show waale care😆

But just as I start to think that...bang comes the last confrontation between Abhi and Yograj...fantastic...FINALLY Abhi bola👏...and I loved that he threw that Engr school application back in Yograj's face...how dare Yograj seriously, man...look at the gall of this man...random gifts and an application, hardly a conversation about where/what/how and that's supposed to fix everything...Priyanshu was SUPERB in this scene (the whole epi in general but this scene especially)...I know that's becoming a norm to expect from him now but this guy keeps nailing his scenes so well...deserves the praise👏👏

I'm not sure where they are going with this Radhika thing...ek toh she looks older than Abhi😕😆...seriously how desperate is Madhu to be thrusting such a tacky thing on Abhi...and Yograj's random insistence on wanting Abhi to marry this girl just adds to his sketchiness as usual.

I'm just so glad Abhi bajaaoed everyone but especially Yograj on this topic...it's scenes like this that save Abhishek's characterization from becoming dukhiyara bechara...otherwise he's such a sweet and good natured guy, it would be easy for his character to become somewhat pitiable...but these scenes bring out the edges in Abhi and I for one quite enjoy seeing that range.

Jokes apart, I loved the way Aman could just stand by watching cluelessly as Abhi lifted Meera and carried her out of the cafe😆...poor guy seems to be carrying her through the streets...PJ ki kasrat ho rahi hai😆

And the candle blowing re-enactement...ab toh khud pe bhi hassi aa rahi hai isko😆

abhishek slayed today i am so happy he gave it back to idiotic yogi samjhta kia hai budha kahi se moon utha ke aayega aur sab uske orders follow karenge ?* sarcastically claps like palak from Kapil sharma show**

as awkward as the whole bday thing was aman's family still came across very very sadiyal and arrogant and i just couldn't stand their expressions. to add onto it they made it clear that the whole purpose of this proposal is to take advantage of raizadaas position wow . yeh sanjay ke relatives kaise ho sakte hain?/

meera bechari is so adorable like how can u think of using that innocent girl for your greed plz kia bigada hai usne

and abhishek bechar to kisi aur hi world main hai is waqt he's so lost and smitten by meera ji *blush*

that new entry is cheap & gross and i wonder ab amma kyon kuch nah boli aur is radhika ko ghar le aayin and what happened to babli last time toh she strongly reacted when radhika's name came up

but the good thing is she had a tiny scene today otherwise the makers almost forgot that they have her in show as well

@ Meera n yogi connection- from the beginning Meera has been the one to help yogi. She helped him enter the house with the pretense of him helping with the tax thing. She insisted on him to come to the birthday party( yogi wasnt so sure) so that he could talk to Abhishek.

She just knows that Abhishek hasn't yet talked to yogi.. Lol but I don't think she realizes the actual emotions Abhishek is going through regarding this ...she is as oblivious to this as oblivious as she is to the emotions that was in the room wrt to Aman n co when she was celebrating Abhishek's birthday😆

Abhi-Yograj scene was treat to watch

Abhi is selfless and will do anything to keep everyone happy but but guy has a brain in right place which still functions

I loved the convo and dialogues were STAR

About Meera trying to thopofy Yograj on Abhi, She has been deprived of Father's love(the way she wants), his tie, appreciation so may be she dont want Abhi to miss those things anymore as his pa is here...she simply want Abhi to get love of his father and abhi to forgive him

Abhi has still not opened up to Meera on how he feels about his father, she is oblivious to gravity of emotions, equations and I guess if she comes to know she will refrain
