Today's epi was kinda like the unassumingly BBKD version of a typical "hero heroine lost in jungle" trope...and I was almost thinking they managed to pull off a refreshing take on the trope until end mein they succumbed to expected shot of hero lifting heroine in his arms๐Ÿ˜† but no worries...still a decent epi.

Overall thoughts on the epi in no particular order:

1) Trip Catch - done...Milestone achieved for Meera-Abhi๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜†...What I find amusing is that even though he's otherwise smitten by her, in such cliched moments they both look more matter of fact than anything else...or maybe that's just PJ and ND ka acting style in general

2) I loved that bit when Abhi scolded Meera like he scolds one of his crazy Pant cousins๐Ÿ˜†...like he'd had enough of her tantrums...lol...and he like openly told her also if she cares more about her injured foot than her nakhras...and she almost meekly gave in at last too...in that moment, he was like the indignant parent scolding his kid๐Ÿ˜†

3) Abhi ki Scouts Training v/s Meera ki Physiotherapy training...lol for once Abhi had some training to tout in front of Ms. Gyan All too...Abhi alternates b/w treating her differentially all "Meera JI, Meera Ji" and then suddenly switching to pure irritation and scolding for her childishness...Meera was in total mutinous kid mode in this bit. At one point, Abhi even offered to put her wet, stinky sock back on her foot...mahaan hai yeh bandaa๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜†

Meera's sock had one solitary heart on it๐Ÿ˜† and most of Abhi's gestures are instinctively protective...like he'll hover around her protectively...even pat her foot all protectively after tying her shoelace๐Ÿ˜†

4) Abhi ka three-legged jugaad๐Ÿ˜†

5) In cliched heroine style, Meera ko andhere aur lightning se darr lagta hai๐Ÿ˜†

I think the only thing that saves these cliched scenes is the fact that Namita's acting makes these reactions not as loud despite the cliched scenarios. Like one second she's clinging to him in fear and next second she's like "sorry sorry" without any awkwardness๐Ÿ˜†

6) Meera's knowing expressions when Abhi was giving her that b.s. story about the money misunderstanding being all his fault for being too hard on his family...lol@ her golgappa story analogy to make her point...it was good to see her being perceptive and Abhi was stumped for a bit...

7) Babli managing to jagaao Kapil ki conscience ๐Ÿ‘...now we see where Abhi gets his mahaanta from๐Ÿ˜†...dunno how long this conscience awakening will last given the general tendency of the people in this family

8) Meera ka suitcase adjustment solution๐Ÿ˜†

9) Meera's vulnerability...a rare moment today to see a Meera totally in tears over having possibly lost the one token of her father expressing pride in her...good acting from Namita.

And finally fangirls ki khushi ke liye๐Ÿ˜†

Precap seems to indicate Meera in full gyaan mode...hopefully they can manage to have good convos before getting back to Pant bhavan.

Also, random guy lurking around the house seems to be Abhi's MIA daddy returning home...oh yay๐Ÿ˜†...more tamasha.

Just got around to watching the episode and surprisingly it was another decent episode. Their version of the uber cliched "lost in the jungle" track wasn't so bad actually. I found it quite amusing to watch this version...even though they did end up succumbing the formula by including the "trip-catch-stare" moment and the eventual hero carrying the injured female. Despite these cliched moments, they have still managed to retain their inherent "light-hearted" tone. Truly speaking, I found both of those cliched moments anything BUT romantic...lol๐Ÿ˜† It actually had me laughing at the awkwardness lol and it actually worked out better. I don't think their "love story" is going to be one of those intense ones, high on emotions and all just going by Meera's characterizations. Anyhow, Namita emoted well in that moment where she stares at that note from her dad. Even though we know that her dad's happiness/ pride for her is her biggest vulnerability, this version seemed to have a resonant effect as compared to the earlier ones.

ROFL ๐Ÿคฃ @ her having done a 6 months Physiotherapy course!๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† My question is that is there anything for which she hasn't done a course?! I bet she might have even tried her hand at teaching despite being a double graduate fail!๐Ÿ˜†

@Kapil-Babli scene-- lol @ Abhi's source of Mahanta. Definitely! Although, for some reason it seemed as if she might have purposefully tried this route to make him realize his demand and make him realize his mistake. Babli's a far better parent over Madhu and Ramraj. Even Balraj and his wife seem to be better parents as compared to them, their kids are not as self-centered like Kapil and Anita. I guess kids tread the same path as their parents unless they are able to differentiate between right or wrong path.

@Precap-- There goes Meera again with her life lesson number...ummm how many such lessons has she imparted to Abhishek till now?๐Ÿ˜› Now I'm kinda curious to see how that scene of Meera burning her designer clothes to keep Abhi warm comes in to play. ๐Ÿ˜†

Oh and that mystery person at the Pant Bhavan-- definitely Abhi's Dad. Wonder why he would be lurking like a crook instead of just showing up at the door?! It would be interesting to see Abhi's reaction to seeing him. So far he's never expressed any resentment at his father abandoning them like Rohan does.

@bold: I'm getting the same feeling...this is the scope of nuance it's gonna get to๐Ÿ˜†...but it's not that bad as long as they retain some hold on editing consistency...these two are managing to have their own kinda light-hearted chemistry for now.

Meera is deffo a jack of all trades, master of none๐Ÿ˜†

Re: Babli...yes she does seem to have been trying to teach Kapil some good values in a roundabout fashion and knew that the kid is essentially misguided given the kind of parents he has to follow as examples...but given how the show gets inconsistent, dunno if I want to hope from any resolution to this "awakening" in Kapil.

Meera ka character sketch only is to impart 10 life lessons a minute๐Ÿ˜†...and ab jaake toh uske haath aaya hai Abhi to give uninterrupted life gyaan...they kept getting distracted by other things before...this time they are trapped under that makeshift hut thanks to the rain.

You know I like their happy wala bg score but they don't play it that often in the show nowadays...they played it more often in early weeks...like in the feather scene. Wikipedia seems to indicate that the show has a love theme song composed for Abhi-Meera but I have no idea when it will be debuted๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜†

I'm not sure if I'm too keen on seeing the Dad's entry given how random the rest of the characters are...it'll just be one more hypocritical addition to the mix.

I don't think Abhi's gonna be too happy to see his Dad...he may not express the resentment openly like Rohan but I think the resentment definitely exists...and if the Dad did indeed randomly abandon them to go on some spiritual retreat and is now randomly returning, not sure how he will be integrated back into the family either.

Sure, eventually they'll try to make him one of Meera's projects as usual with the bahu reuniting baap-beta storyline but as of now, I don't think I want to see another responsibility shirking Pant...maybe my patience is too frayed with them right now๐Ÿ˜†

@ love them song specially created for them?! huh? where and when are they going to play it? I wonder if they will play it while Meera burns her designer clothes to warm up a shivering Abhi๐Ÿ˜†.
I miss the happy tune as well...there haven't been much of those happy "Meera" moments lately due to the Pant clan fiasco. Hopefully, we'll get it this week with Meera returning back to the home stay and the eventual birthday party sequence.
Now, you've prompted me to rewatch the feather scene just to listen to that happy tune! Someone should rip it off, so I could play each time I need a boost in my mood.

Oh neither do I want to see his storyline. I just want to see Abhi's reaction to seeing the man who placed him in this spot and forced him to abandon his youth and aspirations to shoulder the family's responsibilities.

I don't want see Meera being the "bahu" trying to reconcile father-son. lol even if she does it in her own quirky way, there are way too many dependents on Abhi as is...the dad's just going to add more burden. He can go away once the track of Abhi expressing his resentment and closure of the MIA dad is done.

LOL that's what I saw on Wiki...see:
Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania is an Indian Hindi comedy-drama television series, which premiered on 18 July 2016 on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The series is produced by Bodhitree Multimedia and directed by Pushkar Mahabal. It airs Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM onward. Priyanshu Jora and Namita Dubey are the lead actors in the show. The romantic song 'Dil ki bhasha, Dil hi janey' has been composed by Tanishk Baagchi and written by Tanishk and Arafat mehmood.
Yeah they haven't had as many of those enchanting Meera moments recently and Abhi ki genuine waali smile has also gotten rarer than ever...ironic given that Meera got him to smile and then the Pant nonsense kicked into high gear so his smile disappeared once again. ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ˜†

Ok lemme try and rip the happy tune from the feather scene...I love that music too :)

Ahhh that would be AWESOME!!! ๐Ÿค—

Crazy elder Pants took away his smile...but seems like Meera's already working it in with her life lesson in the precap.

By the way, is that composer and lyricist well known? The one who has created the "supposed" love song?

The composer Tanishq is the person behind that Banno song from Tanu Weds Manu Returns...I think that Bolna song from Kapoor and Sons is also by this guy.

I already love the tune...feel like the song will live up to it...IF they ever debut it in the show in the middle of Pant madness๐Ÿ˜†
