For TV actor Priyanshu Jora, it'sRajasthan's mitti ki khushboo that transports him back to his childhood. Priyanshu hails from Sri Ganganagar district in Rajasthan. He later shifted to Delhi.

"I have spent my childhood in Rajasthan. I was born in Sri Ganganagar and studied there till class V. After that, my father decided to shift to Delhi. But I keep coming to Sri Ganganagar, Jaipur and Bikaner as a lot of my relatives stay here. I miss the place. The very fragrance of this land reminds me of my childhood days," says Jora who is currently seen in the show,Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhaniya (BBKD).
While Rajasthan is famous for its staple dal-baati churma, Jora is a big fan of tarbooz ki sabzi, another Rajasthani dish which not many people are aware of. "There's more to Rajasthani food than just dal-baati churma. There are many other Rajasthani dishes like gatte ke pulao and methi bajra poori," he says.

"But not many are aware of them. I remember when I was a child, my grandmom would make tarbooz ki sabzi for me. I still have it with missi roti whenever I come to Sri Ganganagar. I love Rajasthani food. There are some Rajasthani restaurants in Mumbai too, but you won't find that taste in the food there that you get here," shares the actor.

Talking about his new show, Jora says that it's a story about a 25-year-old guy Abhishek (played by him) who is the sole breadwinner of the family. "At his age, he should be enjoying life; going out with friends. But he is looking after his 14-member family. Even though his family is with him, he is still a loner. And now, the family is looking for the perfect life partner for him," he says. BBKD is the second male-centric show that Jora is doing; the first being Tu Mera Hero (TMH), which made him quite popular with the audience. "This is another male-centric show that I am doing. I see it as a good change as earlier not many male-centric shows were being made."
Jora says that he had a very hard time understanding the character of Abhishek. "It took me a while to decode the character as this wasn't a simple character like Titu (in TMH). Usmein joke sunaana tha, masti karni thi. Here, it was different. But it was a learning experience for me."
Ask him if he is open to doing reality shows and Jora says, "I was offered reality shows. But there's still time for it. Right now, I am not too keen on doing reality shows. May be in the future I will participate in some," he says.
