Moreover the first season of BALH is progressive where Priya's brother hit Shivina's character in front of his mother to control her brattiness or whatever? Lol.

I was an ardent fan of balh1. When balh2 promos came I thought balh again..what???. But then after few episodes I got hooked to it and aa you said this ram and priya ki baat hee kuch aur hai and I feel the show pace is very fast and issues get resolved very quickly in the show and of course the main attractions are the straight forward nature of Priya and cuteness of Ram.
Story is also progressive compared to balh1.
Ram never brought vedika to his house its his mother who forced him. Also after his marriage with priya he was always controlled when vedika and priya are around. Even during his chats with Vedika he didn't give any messages that a married man should not give.
Here we should understand that vedika is not just his ex but their family friend also..that's why he allowed her to stay in his house.
Actually in balh 1 what I didn't like was they showed Rams biological mothers adopted daughter as if she was his ex girlfriend..now in balh 2 atleast vedika is his ex and whatever the progression Ram is making they are showing makes some sense
Sorry for the long message and I hope you saw my POV...I felt bad ...because balh2 cast is doing fantastic job and the storyline is very good

Why saying sorry ? It's absolutely fine ! And i agree with you totally!
I hadn't watched balh1 properly but in bits and pieces.. and when balh2 started I watched a few of the episodes clips.. and yes it was a great show, a big hit, Ram-Priya were adorable there too.. but I dislike the constant comparisons of that season with the new one that people keep bringing up from time to time. This time the show name is only same otherwise 90% of the things are different. And I applaud ekta for making the show so good. Yes it has flaws (which show doesn't?) but overall it is definitely better than 99% of the shows on air on TV right now. And yeah till now I haven't found anything regressive in the show . Right from the characters to the story everything is actually very progressive. 👍🏼
People are entitled to their opinions but I , personally, love RaYa of this season.. and I love the show.
OMG exactly my thoughts
Sorry to break some people's bubble but pessimistic people like priya are very much real it's a psychological issue and am glad this show talks about it . It's not easy to trust someone because they are nice and different past experiences shapes u i get that Riya should give ram benefit of doubt which she is trying to unlike ram who doesn't also people like pry are very much entitiled the way they behave keeping her guard up is okay just because u can't accept her thoughts doesn't mean she doesn't resonate with real people i totally resonate with her character of being a pessimistic and she is not negative or toxic just a bit practical which is necessary
