@bold- Totally agree. ITV still believes in the in-your-face kind of handling of situations.. whereas a little subtlety works so much better!

Yup, that's the word for ITV drama.

In-your-face.

yea, like many, I did feel it was inspired by zindagi gulzar hai -- specifically the mom getting dumped after having a bunch of girls and the dad focusing on a son who is not really pulling his weight. to be honest, I feel like it is too much drama for Priya -- like it wasn't enough that she got dumped by her boyfriend for her own sister but they have to add this kind of extreme dad. like I mentioned in another thread here, I would have preferred if the dad and mom had divorced for some other relationship problem like affair or just general incompatibility which would have made it interesting and not inspired. but we will just have to wait and see how they use these plot points to develop the characters further....

since it is an EK show, am not expecting much depth or character development to be honest. 😂

zindagi gulzar hai was such a well-written show with so much emotional and real depth. this will be more like popcorn variety angst but should be just as entertaining. 😂

I hope the show will be watchable for the first 200 epis. Uske baad toh it will most likely go down in terms of content, like all other shows.

It's a good change if the creative team will focus more on the FL's character growth throughout the love story. For a good change of ITV where the FL's only focus won't be to solve his husband's issues and save her sasural from 100 types of threats. But she will also resolve her mental trauma and heal herself with the help of her partner.

Let's see.

All hindi serials start with heroine saving herself...n then end with heroine saving her sasuraal.

I can't imagine the current Priya in a sasural -bachao-avatar 😭 Rather she seems to be the one jo sasural ki hawa tight karegi 😈 Jo bhi uske Ram ko takleef pahuchayega usko wo dho daalegi 😎

Dekhte hain kya hota hai. Jab tak spoil nhi ho rha tab tak enjoy karte hain

Dont have so many hopes that you know won't be fulfilled. ITV main aisa kabhi nahin hota. By 200 episodes priya will be saving from his scheming family and selfish family members. Not it forget that season apparently has too many of them. 🤣

I find priya father realistic,my aunt ex-husband is a douche just like priya's father thus i could relate. The difference is priya fight but at the same she maintains the respect knowing he is her father while my cousins gives tit for tat saying he kind of man doesn't deserve respect & a burden to the earth and they don't give him respect. I find it realistic since its in my family
