And here you encapsulate my detachment from most of the characters in balh3. Few have a characterization that fixes the person in the mind. Characters can act out of character, but they need a base, na? A horde of hangers on with general and maybe one marked aspect (e.g., Shreya--evil bitch. Hoity boy--spoilt and probably bad) just messes everything more.

Okay, so the voting for ita awards 2023 has started, and surprisingly, or actually deservingly ;) Nakuul Disha have been nominated for both the seasons, and I'm so so so happy about it ❤😆

So we know that the makers are not giving them and us, what they deserve, but atleast we can try and give them the appreciation and reward they deserve for lighting up our screens everyday, in both the seasons. ❤

Even after dp being pregnant, she chose to do this for our love, so let's reciprocate that! 🤗

Afterall, all of us agree we're here for nm dp only, not for the show 🤣, so let's do this

I will definitely vote for them. I like Aditi's acting as much as Disha's, but 1) I've not watched more than some clips of KA, and after the first month or so, I got bored because the ml lost his mojo and Katha was jhaaroing gyaan and giving the same expression too often. Crossed it off my list of shows I could view, some day (which usually never comes). 2) Apart from Nakuul, the only actor I like is HC, who's doing crap right now, so Nakuul it is. 3) While I don't know whether NM and DP are the best jodi on itv, they're all I've seen recently, and the very fact that I'm watching this show in spite of the complaints I have is solely because they play so well off each other. 4) IMO, Disha did not get her due for balh2, and she deserved more than the ita jury award.

I guess everyone has their foibles. If you've seen toxic drunks, maybe Priya's dad isn't entirely unjustified. I do feel it's a bit much, but kahin se to they need archan in the shaadi so it can be overcome and please kiddies who seem not to realise that no Shreya or daddy will break the nuptial plans.

Much worse hurdles await after the wedding. 🤣🤣🤣

BALH3 - Finding Ram's roots, this is the real tagline. Priya will remind Ram of his not so affluent days and slowly bring him back to earth. By that time, Ramu would be asli mein gareeb, so Priya's refresher course on middle class will be put to use 🤣

There was, and is, too much stress on Priya's 'middle classedness', usually by Priya herself. The middle class is a large demographic, and covers a myriad of attributes in all its variations.

I think I won't mind a riches to rags story. At least I won't have to see the mausoleum.

@bold - So I think the only thing leaving bad taste in our mouths are two - Kriti still being ram's gf, and second, priya's lie about yuvi. Whilst the second one can still be left as unimportant, and for future purposes, the first one needs to be handled right away coz it's ruining everything currently. The whole premise of Priya being the other woman is putting off, and if kriti and ram would have already broken up, everything would have been much much better, imo!

1. They could have shown as Ram gf died and he didn't want to marry anyone else. But his jaan kind of pushed him into marrying again and he accept for her sake and was up front with Priya about it. It is over used plot but atleast the gf would be a ghost and not a real life person 😆
2. Ram and Priya could have been shown as past couple who dated in college and broke up, meeting again kind of romance even for such a short frame. It could have worked to make it a simple story of second chance

Read somewhere in their thread that Priya is teaching him middle class values like why cant they move beyond the class problems and show me a couple problems instead.

@bold - Yes, Priya has given him a few lectures here and there, but apart from that also I think now he's slowly and gradually putting his own brains and handling situations, which is really good!!! So priya has just probably opened his buried box of values which were present when he was middle class 😆

So they are handling all the so called couple problems like that, and working as a team. As I just said, if we forget the thing that kriti is his current gf, everything is so so much better and watchable, the story as a whole. Coz there are actually some good plots, and character growth too. But just kriti is putting it off as of now. You remove her, you'll get a good watchable fun and eazy and real story for sure!

Well imo, I agree with Priya wasting her life, as rn she's not thinking practically. But also, I do understand where she's coming from, like her emotional space. After having a massive breakup like that, after being in relationship for 6 years, any ordinary girl would take a lot of time to be in love again or actually be in love at all. So from that pov, Priya is thinking that since she doesn't wanna marry again, this is the best option for that, so no one will tell her anything later, plus it will also serve ram's interest. Since in that emotional space, she is not thinking about the practicality and consequences here, which is wrong, but we can't blame her fully.

And as far as guilt is concerned, I would say that she is having guilt, and Disha is portraying that really well. Everytime she has a talk with her father, it's there in her eyes as to how bad he'll feel. But then she thinks of her decision of not marrying ever, which will again hurt him, and there will be a point after some years, when even he will tell her to move on. So to save from that, she is marrying now, thinking that if this breaks, even her father would not tell her to move on, and she'll stay single, happily. Atleast this is what I could understand of her thought process from whatever I have seen. And maybe that's the reason she's doing every ritual and everything possible, just like she tells Ram too, that even if for us this is a contract marriage, for our parents it is real, so let's do it properly. Her guilt in the first place is making her do all of it. So yeah.

And as someone who is watching the whole episode every day, for no reason whatsoever 🤣, I can say that their emotional connection is very much there. Like I can see the bond building episode on episode, amd it is not forced or fake imo. Definitely like I said before, Kriti's presence makes it look wrong, forced or fake, but if you remove that aspect and see, the bond and emotional connection is building for sure.
