1. They could have shown as Ram gf died and he didn't want to marry anyone else. But his jaan kind of pushed him into marrying again and he accept for her sake and was up front with Priya about it. It is over used plot but atleast the gf would be a ghost and not a real life person 😆
2. Ram and Priya could have been shown as past couple who dated in college and broke up, meeting again kind of romance even for such a short frame. It could have worked to make it a simple story of second chance

Read somewhere in their thread that Priya is teaching him middle class values like why cant they move beyond the class problems and show me a couple problems instead.

I would have really loved to see either of these plots. So much better than what we’re getting.❤️😍 And yes, Ekta maiyya really needs to move past class. She needs to understand there are most important things in life than the “class” of a person.😒🙄

@bold: I’ve said this so many times!😐 I just don’t get why Priya is portrayed to be so stringy and poor. She’s a well established dentist for god sakes!🦷 They charge ₹2500 for one tooth extraction, ₹1500 for a consultation and ₹10-20k for root canals.🤑

Ekta maiyya needs a reality check. I really don’t understand why she can’t make the characters of all her shows more realistic and relatable!😑🙄😒

Why does Priya seem so anxious for the marriage to happen? Has she become too invested in not losing face and/or being marked as someone who had 2 marriage arrangements fall through?

I don't feel invested in the potential love story. It doesn't have the feels of the promo shots, just a jumble of incidents that we know will lead to love.

Honestly, for everyone irritated by Kriti, it's Priya who's the interloper. Yes, Kriti is responsible, but, as ajacob says, Kriti-Ram are the couple. Imagine if Priya was in Kriti's place and vice versa, wouldn't most then be rooting for getting the third party off the scene? Unfortunately, our shows can't have other love interests for the leads without blackening them. It's like the lead has to be the best, not just the better, person, and it's not enough to be a good person; the rival must be bad. So lame and lazy. This is what is making this so boring for me. It's not so long since we saw better execution of almost the same story with the same leads (early balh2), and while the light moments here are fun, it can't overcome the lack of freshness for me.

Also, God, I miss Nandini's bite; even Shubham's crude, in-your-face rudeness, coupled with those sudden truths (remarking how he also felt Ram Priya were made for each other, during the first interview in balh2); and Adi. I am glad Ram has a nice, blackmailing (sorry, couldn't resist) mum, and Nandini was too much, but that spice is missing. Shardul is nice, but what's his brief? Alekha is a potential problem, and Priya's lie is hanging over our heads.

I do like Priya's dad and her scenes with him. I also like that he's capable of getting angry. I haven't watched the episode, just 2 clips, Nakuul's mehndi reel and the BTS of P's dad ranting about Ram. Feel sorry for Ram, actually, but there's no question all will be magically resolved. That's why boring.

And I really like reading all other's pov, so that I can get different perspectives about characters too, so it's all good!

On the mehendi topic, I agree with you, it was just faltu ka fuss, thoda sa kone me jala tha, baaki ka haath was alright na. Anyways, although that scene led to ram's thought on mehendi, and it was good since he did it himself, without any pressure from others, so I'm happy about it.

Character of Ram has been dissected a lot here for sure, to find ki andar kuch nahi hai 🤣

But I found the mehendi design cute for sure 😆

Regarding priya's anxiousness, i agree, she may want to save her family from all the taunts and disrespect rn, not thinking, that the same would double up when she gets divorced

Regarding kriti waala point, I already wrote in post above to ajacob, you can check that.

And yeah, side characters par to I totally totally agree. None of them have a good screen presence except shardul, ritika, and somewhat the parents. Nandini for sure had a really strong screen presence, maybe also because she was negative. Shalini is okayish, but cousins oh my gosh, not a single one of them , especially that shreya, know how to act or anything. It's like the makers got them in less, and hence casted the whole bunch for no reaosn whatsoever 😵🤢

Priya and her dad's scenes are a real pure bliss, especially because I so wanted our girl to have a good father last season, so yeah! 😳

Regarding the new drunk fiasco, I'm not on anyone's side, coz I need to see what exactly happened which led to priya's dad reacting so strongly.

Though I don't watch it, but if we find them to be as good as nm dp, no problem in voting for all 4 😆, otherwise for me also, nm dp it is! ❤

And regarding disha's due also I agree, she deserves much more for balh 2 also, but if not for the pankhis, this would not have been an issue, who legit worship nm and ram as if there's no one holier than him and bash Priya and Disha as if idk what even. Even now they are doing the same🤢😵

Regarding best jodi, though I also don't watch any other show, but from whatever clios and news I've seen on sm regarding other shows, I can safely say they're the best, because they're compelling us to watch such a trash story, just for them❤

Rich people have money, but no morals/character/manners, except the lead (and Shalini & Alekha here).

If you’re poor, you’re on a moral high ground automatically and look down on the ‘ameers’. Again, vilains are exempt from this eg. Neeraj/UV).

Finding a regular, level headed average Joe in the EK universe is a rare occurance!

I completely agree with you dost. Ekta needs to see the world and learn how to write her characters better.
