So just late marriage itself is something to navigate. Knowing you are just a compromise the partner has taken because they don't have any options to marry plays om your mind. In priRa case they have a huge difference in their lifestyle- middle class vs extravagant rich. This is another huge conflict. Also career. The aspect of whether Ram who is SO busy and big shot CEO will care about/support his wife's career when her job seems "less important" as per soceital standards. So all these things are there to explore.

Why force exes and stuff in the equation of Priya Ram when so many legit conflicts are there and navigate. What brings together in love 2 people who are clearly not really interested in marrying, who have crucial differences in lifestyle and careers - thats the part that will be interesting to explore.

@bold: Sadly, as long as the majority audience is still consuming shows like Anupama and the like, makers will always fall back on these overused plots to keep them interested. Only the OTT space is where this is possible - at least for now. Even now, really good shows/progressive shown on TV eventually shut down because of falling behind in the trp race 😒

Well its a vicious cycle. At some point they need to improve content on mainstream tv. This time they dont need to feel TRP pressure if they intend on a finite series. So hopefully they wont screw it up.

Honestly tv content used to be good in our parents era. Then suddenly it declined mainly in EK reign where every show was saas bahu and had triangles. And now that just continues.

So far, okay. Nothing exciting or new. The character sketch for both Ram and Priya is almost the same as the previous season.

The second episode was so much better than the first. I absolutely love Supriya Shukla as Ram's mom and am so glad that her character is such a positive one. She is not negative as Ram's mom in the previous season and glad there are no step siblings and step mom waala drama.

Priya's family is cute. Pretty modern but yet simple. Priya is going to get a shock of her life when she'll find out what her "boyfriend" is upto at office.

Not sure why they started the show on a Thursday? We get only 2 episodes this week. Looking forward to next week. Let’s hope the storyline is crisp and better than the previous season.

Okay, I've read all your posts, and I love 'em.

Yes, yes, yes.

Ram was bothered by Neeraj but Priya had to deal with Vedika living in KM and eventually Vedika despite all her crimes never really got a proper punishment and Ram was soft on her always despite supposedly loving Priya. in the leap they made it Pihu-Raghav-Angad-Prachi and also Raghav-Josh-Prachi.

For a change I'd like to see 2 practical people who arent really believers in "love" come together for compulsion/arranged marriage and then what happens to make them experience love, companionship or 2 people who may have had a past and it can impact them but their exes should not be shown as a character in the show.

people navigate conflicts in relationships and marriage without it having to do with an interfering ex and residual affection for them or infidelity. there are other issues!

@italics, YES!

@bold, this is what I said a few days ago. You don't need black villains, scheming vamps, past lives, two-faced hangers on whose troublemaking one of the leads is blind to. Circumstances can provide conflict in a way that's far less stressful for viewers.

I mean which man who even still has residual feeling for his ex will still act the way Ram did with Vedika and allow her to live in his house despite being married! Like which man will blur the boundaries that much. And how can anyone have absolutely zero bitterness towards his ex for picking another man just for money! thats so unrealistic. I was so annoyed with the way the whole Vedika issue was just brushed away. She was overstepping so much and Ram was always so tongue tied and his friends who were closer to him and supported him way more than Vedika ever did told Ram they dont like her or trust her repeatedly, still he was softer to her. makes no sense. Ram never apologized to a conscious Priya for giving the bday party credit to Vedika even though she essentially confessed in her drunk state how hurt she was that she is always Priya literally saw them hugging in his cabin the day after the truth came out in BALH2 and all the concerns or insecurities of Priya were never addressed. all those messages she got from Vedika throughout making her feel insecure were never addressed. ITV always messes up the triangles making it unsavory. so they dragged the Vedika angle but never resolved it. She kept making comebacks in their life over and over despite her dubiousness being out in the open multiple times.

Hopefully this time around since its a finite story they wont screw it up with showing stuff simmering forever with 3rd angles and going unaddressed altogether in the end. but I honestly get upset as soon as past lovers or another man/woman character get introduced because there is a real danger of cringe happening.

I admit that a love triangle makes it more dramatic as a viewer coz essentially you want the characters you are rooting for to choose each other even over other distractor options in their life. but it backfires royally when its not really addressed adequately and there isnt proper closure.

Can I please hire you to write posts I'm usually too lazy to type.

I saw some clips of the first episode and it didn't do much for me.

Ram's the same poor little rich businessman, best in the world, apparently. Lonely in a crowd and all. Yawn.

Priya baked a cake, where? At her clinic? Why is she carrying it around? Dunzo it, gal.

Right now I feel no connect with either. They're good actors, so I guess they'll settle in soon, but at present I'm happily detached.

The snoring promo looks far better, but how can they be settled into domesticity so soon (even presuming it's a coupla weeks away)?

Second episode was better than the first. However, I had the same question about the cake. She baked it at home and then brought it with her to the clinic, why? Her “boyfriend” was coming for dinner at home either ways. She could have just left it in the refrigerator at home.

The snoring promo is just that, a promo. It’s not going to be an actual scene in the show. By showing that in the coming up, I assume they are showing us what to expect.

But, how can we expect them married after 2-3 episodes? Strange! The character sketch of both Ram and Priya are very similar to the previous season which is boring. I expected something new and fresh.

I'm guessing that promo, or a version of it, will air. It's intriguing how they'll get married, especially so soon, and I'm praying for no majboori wali shaadi, but what else?

I'd also have liked a Ram who was more distinct from the balh2 Ram, much as I liked that character. He seems less than that here, but I'm hoping Nakuul will make it work.

Priya is not very different from Priya 2.0 either, and as I go on ad nauseum about being robbed of the og Priya of balh2, no surprises that no other character is likely to impress me very much. However, I do like both actors, and I am rooting for them to settle in and, as NM put it, give balh a fitting send off when it ends
