Yes getting married late is still a sore point in India. I'm in the same situation as you but because I'm Indian my parents are nagging.
So just late marriage itself is something to navigate. Knowing you are just a compromise the partner has taken because they don't have any options to marry plays om your mind. In priRa case they have a huge difference in their lifestyle- middle class vs extravagant rich. This is another huge conflict. Also career. The aspect of whether Ram who is SO busy and big shot CEO will care about/support his wife's career when her job seems "less important" as per soceital standards. So all these things are there to explore.
Why force exes and stuff in the equation of Priya Ram when so many legit conflicts are there and navigate. What brings together in love 2 people who are clearly not really interested in marrying, who have crucial differences in lifestyle and careers - thats the part that will be interesting to explore.
@bold: Sadly, as long as the majority audience is still consuming shows like Anupama and the like, makers will always fall back on these overused plots to keep them interested. Only the OTT space is where this is possible - at least for now. Even now, really good shows/progressive shown on TV eventually shut down because of falling behind in the trp race 😒
