I didnt really read him being "stunned" in his expressions. I found Ram to be quite snobbish and not impressive thus far.
his entire interaction with Priya was just him being unnecessarily snooty, rude and ungrateful
he shows up at the clinic of the one person kind enough to respond to his urgent dentist needed request on a NY eve and he responded by judging how small the clinic is, hovering around and being a nuisance to her doing her job, pacing around getting in her way, complaining about being hungry -eating her entire cake and then not even saying thank you and assuming that her random small talk waala comment is an invitation to drop his gyaan and he does so in a condescending way and then ultimately taunting her that she may ask for more money. even if she did, it wouldnt be wrong - he is a business man afterall. its simple supply-demand. so the way he was taunting and saying- ab toh tum triple payment logi was not needed. he needed to just shut up and pay what she asked for and leave. infact since he didnt thank her , he should have paid for the cake he ate too. she wasnt obliged to offer him any cake in her clinic! and then he goes on to further pass comments on her looks as well. jhalli is a comment to refer to someone who doesnt groom themselves well na...sometimes people say it fondly. but he wasnt doing that. and honestly Priya looked pretty well kempt for someone who is at her workplace.
also who eats an entire cake like that?! he didnt even consider that if shes baked it for her bf and shes not gonna get to celebrate with her love, the least he can do is leave a portion of it and take only one piece just to handle his hangriness and hypoglycemia.
atleast if he had given one sincere thank you in the whole interaction, I'd have not been so annoyed. but he didnt value the time and effort of Priya to help his jaan- his mother when she was suffering with severe toothache. and really nothing had happened in his day to make him annoyed. he was in a good mood, he is doing well, got a new deal, he was happy with his life- so its not even like he was directing something on Priya because he was pissed about something else.
If someone has gone out of the way to not just help when you really needed it but done so without making it seem like a big deal in such a sweet, kind, professional way- the least he can do is recognize that with a heartfelt thanks.
I hope he will do so when he meets her next. because I really do not like snobbish arrogant people.
episode 1 was him being OTT and hyper and epi 2 is him being a snob. so its a letdown.
Honestly even in BALH2 I loved Priya most even when she screwed up, but for Ram my feelings fluctuated between complete annoyance and liking his goofiness and charm. and even now BALH3 - Priya remains all ❤️ but Ram so far I am not too fond of except his concern for his mother.
Priya of BALH2 was broken but beautiful. some scenes she did made me just weep. I absolutely loved her drunk performances on Rams birthday and after they meet Vedika post marriage for dinner in her house and in holi sequence when she learns Vedika truth. the dialogues she got in those scenes were heartbreaking and so well written. when she told Ram mujhe aadat hai attention naa milne ki, reject hone ki- uff I just wanted to hug her. when she asks him - kya mein khadus hun and explains why she is so tough and how she saves for her little sister Sandy - again I just wanted to hug her. and the holi scene was top notch. and then there was a convo on terrace where she says I wish I could have got psychiatric help, I wouldnt be so bitter and how she regrets not taking Meera to Manali because paise nahi the. Many such moments have just stuck with me. She was SO good in them all.
I am glad she is happier this season overall. but heartbreak is coming soon :(
I think the universal sentiment is that expectations are high if its only a finite show. so if they mess up a finite series also like they did with BALH2 , then I really have no words for them. if its finite, they should have a clear vision and therefore no time for random drag and unnecessary MUs.
