#RaYa NakSha Chemsitry already on fire ...... VM shuru ho gaye
i finally managed to watch the first epi of balh s3 and here is my honest opinion:
tbh i won’t have tried this show had it not been from balh franchise(as i loved initial episodes of both seasons) and they brought back NaSha. It was glad to see them back.
So far the first episode was decent. (yet to watch the 2nd) The diff in S2 and S3 is that RaYa are shown happier individuals this season, without any dark past so far. That positivity was good to watch. Another positive thing was that both have more supportive family this season unlike last season where they had a toxic and selfish family.
Though they showed positives which was refreshing to watch, I still feel S3’s first episode lacked something. Something seemed really missing but I don’t exactly know what it is. I kinda enjoyed RaYa’s conversation in the 2nd season more, here it seemed there could have been more.
Apart from this, I agree with all on the supporting cast. I could not connect to the supporting cast. I feel Aanchal would have been a good fit for Ram’s lady bestie this season too (I feel she could have nailed the business woman , who also is desperate to find her love character very well). None of the supporting casts really created an impact so far , let’s see what happens in the later episodes.
I guess EK made S3 to try to ‘fix’ the mistakes made in S2, or just another version of S2 with fans advices taken and all. The big plus point is that this season is finite which is the sole reason I am willing to give this show more time and interest.

If I only talk about ep 1, I 100% agree with you on each and every word, when I first watched that ep, I was like it's good, but somethings lacking, and I couldn't pin point that, and about the side characters to everyone knows, it's just that 1st ep couldn't create that effect which I was expecting, maybe I expected a bit more! But then later that chai waala promo, and then the 2nd ep, things drastically got better mannnn!!! Not exactly like S2, but they sort of had me again in the 2nd ep, and it was really really good, something that was still missing with 1st one, almost came along with 2nd one...so I think they are improving with each episode hopefully, and soon we'll reach that same love and connect with this season as we had with S2...and I'll just focus on Nakuul Disha and the story, side characters can go to hell ;)
So I think you should watch ep 2 also, it'll feel much better and since I had the same problem of something lacking like you, I think you'll also get along well with S3 after seeing 2nd ep
And also, hoping we would get an ff from you this season also ;)
@JustRandomGirl
Yeah, my opinion is just for the first epi. I am yet to watch the 2nd epi, as I watch Sony Asia Pacific so there the episodes come a day later than at India. And for Fri’s episode it airs on Mon as Sat and Sun are weekends. I am looking forward to episode 2, and I also read epi 2 was more praised and liked than epi 1.Originally posted by: NityaAhuja15

Yeah yeah, as I said I had exactly the same opinion about first epi, but whenever you watch the second one, I'm hoping you too have that change in opinion just like me...and yeah people praised ep2 more actually
Oh, do you get Sony Asia Pacific there?
I didn't like how shallow they made Ram look today and how condescending , high handed and ungrateful he behaved with Priya who was so professional and kind. Honestly there was nothing endearing about watching him today. He wasnt even polite to Priya simply because of comfortable he made his mother and how much his mom liked her.
He lacked the basic decency of being grateful to a person who came to attend to a patient on NY eve, was kind enough to offer him cake when he mentioned he was hungry when its clear that she's clearly baked for someone else- not only did he not even leave a single piece as courtesy and thank her for it after he ate it all, he called it "soggy" and gave diet/exercise advice in a pretty condescending way and then he's shown making a crude distinction between doctor and dentist, making out that he's much more busy than she could be, and eventually we learn hes also judging her looks and hair.
Itna shallow kyun?
Rams mother is such a sweetheart though.
I love Priya already and my heart breaks for her already. To see how she's taken advantage of, judged.
I'm glad at least her sister, her father have her back and Rams mom good immediately recognize Priya for being a wonderful person! ♥️
I can't believe it, but I'm going to play devil's advocate for Ram. Okay, from the clinic scene, my take on Ram being snooty about Priya's jhalli look, is he was pulling her pigtails, so to speak. He looked low-key stunned at the sight of her. Like he had seen someone he'd missed a long time and couldn't believe it. I don't know if I'm reading more than I should into that look on his face, but because it's Nakuul and he's so good at nuances, I may be right. The criticism was his way of deflecting whatever his reaction was.
What was that almost Madonna look on Disha's face the moment they met? Much overused as this term is for her, that theraav she brings just matches NM's manic energy so well.
Interesting, wasn't Priya's hair this same way in the balh2 first interaction? Yellow suit too? I'm not handing out stars yet, though I am sure it's calculated. No praises for cvs unless they do a good job longterm.
Re the soggy cake, well, if someone lugs around a cake in a cardboard box in Bombay rains, it's going to be soggy alright. I couldn't believe he ate the whole cake! In my experience, it's not unusual for people who have high metabolism to act a bit condescending towards others, and to me his spiel sounded distracted, automatic. Some people do tend to go on in this annoying way at the least opportunity over anything that they're passionate about or know a lot about.
Don't know if I'll watch the episodes, but yes, from the clips, the second seems better. Such is the level of mistrust that I wondered if Ram's mum could turn out to be awfully awful later.
Having said all this, I'm not overly impressed by the Ram character (actually, by neither; Pensive's "manic pixie" description is terrorizing me). I just like the promos more than whatever I saw, and we know where those got us last time.
I still haven't watched either episode completely, so maybe more later.

I was a little confused seeing Ram’s mother bride hunting for him as soon as she saw a nice girl. Doesn’t she know Ram has a girlfriend? Or is also kept under wraps from his mother too fearing the media!?!
Yeah, why's she jumping on a girl she just met as a potential bride for her son? Is he short of matches? If so, why?
I think Priya dreamed of Ram) His subconscious wants her, but his mouth is not ready to open and admit that mom was right)
You have a way of putting things in a way that just makes me smile.
I think you're right.
