Okay I caved in watched first three episodes. While there are plenty of faults to point out. I won't because I am not invested in the story as of yet. The ranting parts come up only when I am invested in the characters.

While Ram character lacks depth and him being lonely was said way too many times. I am kind of glad his character didn't do a 360 degree change into an angry businessman who gets tamer by cheerful female lead 🤣. So I will take this version of Ram for now. But I agree with other season 2 Ram had more reason to be lonely than this version

Also as far Priya. I like her for now. She seems like a good character up till this point..

For family we get a mix of season 1 and 2 it seems. Also the only reason I gave this another chance is because of the word Finite. Here to hoping I stay till the end of the finite series.

I absolutely loved how DP/NM emoted and acted the entire scene. My problem is the scene as a whole just didn't land for me.

For one, the way they both ended up on different sides of the bathroom door was a tad bit unconvincing.

Second, and more importantly, the dialogues didn't hit the mark (for me) because it was supposed to be Ram talking to his mother - never mind he calls her "jaan", it's still his mom.

In S2, when he assumed it was Bri and was consoling her, the entire set up was also believable. Adi making fun of her and her getting upset, then Ram stepping in to soothe her and Priya listening to it all. There was an instant connect - it sounded like he was addressing Bri.

Today, it just felt like they were in a hurry to recreate an iconic scene.

I'm curious to know if anyone else had the same feeling as I did or am I the only weirdo around here 🤣

I actually quite agree with your views. I felt the bathroom scene wasn’t as great as everyone is portraying it to be.

They also need to change Priya’s wardrobe that brings out a confident personality.

Nah not unpopular- I’m on that bandwagon too. Getting very ‘yeh kya ho raha hai duryodhana’ type feels so far 🤣

And some clearly poor actors. I’m as it is half asleep by the time this shows up my side of the world and then those poor performances/ tracks out of nowhere are not helping
😆

Who are all these hangers on Chacha, mama etc and why are they in the plot? My sleepy brain needs less but better fleshed out characters 😆

It's possible most people, in their minds are seeing it as a RaYa conversation, hence they didn't find anything amiss. Personally, I could not put aside the fact that it was a mother-son conversation 😆

Priya thought the man was talking to his lover. So, we also felt that and most are taking it as him talking to Priya to romanticize the convo. It definitely had a lover’s touch rather than mom-son love. Nobody talks in this tone to their mom.🤣

I don’t understand the need fo a crowd when story is finite and should revolve around the leads….

Crowd is for drama. I am forseeing romance for Ram's friend and Priya sister or Ram's cousin🤣. Of course we will get Ram business partner and Priya ex.

I also for see drama between Ram mom and Priya mom. Then there is Ram future ex drama. In short crowd is for drama .

And again, it's all about Ram, dear) He does not know how to build a connection with people and talks about love the way he would like to have it in his life. But in fact, it does not connect Ram with anyone at all: neither with her mother, nor with a woman. Therefore, to say this to someone using Jaan is not a problem at all) He himself does not believe that he can feel for someone the love that he spoke about. This is also why he was so shocked by the emotions caused by someone crying and a hand outstretched through the door.

I feel S2 and S3 Ram are almost the same. Both are lonely, confused, blinded by the fake love of the money hungry relatives, believes money can get you everything, emotional to an extent. He will soon be heartbroken too, but the depth of pain should be different as I don’t see Ram-Kriti relationship being strong or has any actual love in it.Only difference is S3 Ram has a mother who truly loves him and might actually help when his heart is broken.
