Okay..........I'm long overdue with updates.....but I'm away at a convention.....so I cant watch the show.....for which reason there'll be no updates from me at least.......but thank god for GPRS ......

Anyways , I'm happy today ....because it was SRK's bday yesterday....and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi's first promo was released yesterday....so I'll do a MEGA-UPDATE very soon......

The matinee show of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge had just concluded at Maratha Mandir Thetare in Mumbai [for those who dont know , DDLJ has been running at MM since it released in 1995 !].As the motley crowd drifted out of the theatre,the vendors outside brightened up , hoping that their wares would be sold now .

A chat vendor's hopes were answered as a group of girls , who had just come out , walked over to him.They were young , of a college going age , the vendor could see , for thier faces sparkled with the smiles and hopes which come easily only to the youth.

The girls took their chaat from him and having paid him , walked over to the side to eat it.

Priyanka: Kya baat hai Taani? Itna khadoos chehra...chaat mein zyaada namak aa gaya kya ?[grins]

Taani[glares at her]: Chup kar shaitaan....[Pri laughs]...kya Aastha....humse farewell treat leni hi thi , to woh bhi yeh? DDLJ?

Gayatri: Zyaada mat bol Taani...DDLJ 's insult means Aastha is going to eat you up!

Aastha : Stop it guys...[smiles at Taani]..dekh Taani...if you would have chosen a farewell treat for me of your own choice , wouldnt you have chosen something ehich would have made me happy ? And I loooooooooove watching DDLJ....

Pri[grinning] : Obviously she loves DDLJ....thats why she's leaving for London....kahin apna Raj to mil nahin jaaye wahaan!

Aastha tries to restrain a giggle but cant.

Aastha : Pri , do you EVER stop pulling people's legs ? You know na , Dad has decided to hand over the Mumbai end of the business to Aakar bhaiya---

Gayatri[completes Aastha's sentence] : and so Aastha's Dad will be looking after the London end until she graduates , hence the transfer to Cambridge!

Taani : You'll be leaving day after tomorrow Aastha..when do Uncle and Aunty leave?

A : In around six months I guess.... Dad wants to stay here to guide bhaiya in his initial days of "being-the-boss" , but if I hang around till then , I'll have to join Cambridge in the middle of the second year...and I hate the very thought of allll the work I'll have to catch up with......as it is , I have to catch up with all the first year stuff!

G: Dont worry dear...Nupur is there too! Thats an added advantage for you....atleast your cousin is there....

A : Aur kya , Nupur hai isliye to Mom-Dad ne socha ki main wahaan transfer kar jaoon....otherwise would have completed my college here with you guys only ...Nupur hai to yeh to mujhe pata hai ki wahaan Pri ki kami nahi hogi...Nupur's just like you Pri....shaitaan....[looks at Gayatri and Taani]....but I dont know whether I'll find anyone like you guys there....[becomes sad]

Pri :Dekh Aastha...you're leaving day after tomorrow and I absolutely FORBID you from being sad....waise...you didnt answer my question.....what if you find your Raj there ?Kya karegi tab?

A dreamy look comes into Aastha's eyes .

A : Mujhe kya karna hai....woh to sapno ka rajkumar hai...aayega , aur mujhe uske saath udaake le jaayega!!

Taani : Seriously Aastha....do you really think you'll find a fairy-tale se bahaar nikla hua Prince Charming in your real life ?

Aastha nods dreamily.

Pri: Aastha...tune apne man mein hi ek picture sa bana liya hai...in trying to be faithful to that picture , dont misunderstand the actual thing when it happens to you...

Aastha[dismissively] :Aisa ho hi nahin sakta hai ki mujhe kisi aur type ke ladke se pyaar ho...no , mera rajkumar aayega...bilkul waisa jaise maine apne sapno mein dekha hai...

Gayatri : Aastha....remember that true love wont announce its presence with flashing lights and music...it wont come into your life like a knight riding on his steed ....but true love , when it comes , comes quietly , like an old friend coming to your side...............
