9X is all geared up to further strengthening its content by introducing many fresh new concepts. Having launched a mystical show - 'Sambhav Kya?', the Channel will now air a unique cookery show titled Kuch Kook Hota Hai.
Featuring acclaimed television actress Sarita Joshi and the promising young actor Manish Paul; Kuch Kook Hota Hai will air Monday to Thursday at 12 noon, beginning 7th September 2009.
The concept of Kuch Kook Hota Hai ensures a scrumptious dose of entertainment. A wannabe cook dreams big of becoming a world famous chef someday and in the pursuit of his dream he attempts cooking some dishes that he believes, are delectable delights. What the wannabe chef doesn't know is that his daadi is a pro when it comes to cooking and many other things in life.
Kuch Kook Hota Hai will entail a humorous banter between 'Daadi Maa' (Sarita Joshi) and 'Manu ' a wannabe chef' (Manish Paul); where through a fun chit chat they will actually cook dishes to satiate viewers' delight. Also, for the first time in the history of a cookery show, the chef will give out the recipe through an entertaining song and dance snippet followed by an in-depth presentation later in the show.
Commenting on this unique concept, Vikas Varma, Head of Content and Programming, 9X, said, "The song and dance presentation of Kuch Kook Hota Hai has received an encouraging response from our viewers. We are pleased to extend the concept further and introduce veteran actress Sarita Joshi as the 'Daadi' on Kuch Kook Hota Hai. The chemistry between Sarita Joshi and Manish Paul will definitely entertain the television viewers across India."
Speaking about her role, Sarita Joshi said, "I am delighted to be a part of the Kuch Kook Hota Hai team. The show's distinctive presentation style gives it an edge over other cookery shows watched by the viewers till date. Kuch Kook Hota Hai will also showcase some of my favourite recipes and I hope that my fans and television viewers will enjoy watching them."
The half an hour format of Kuch Kook Hota Hai will showcase two dishes per episode, cooked by both - Daadi Maa and Manu, along with very useful tips (daadi's nuske) for good health/digestion to sum up the episode.
So tune in to 9X every Monday to Thursday at 12 noon (and 6 pm)to catch this very entertaining yet informative show.
